Details were revealed alongside three new iPhone 11. The new game service allows subscribers to play over 100 games on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac and introduced alongside Apple TV+.

This service will be offered 1 month free trial. Players can start playing on one device and finish the game on another. They can even play offline.

With iOS 13 Apple will add support for PS4 and Xbox One controllers. Apple Arcade contains no ads and will allow subscriptions of up to 6 members to be shared.

Arcade games will not be available on other mobile platforms limiting the possible addition of titles like Candy Crush, Minecraft or Super Mario R.

Apple’s service comes at a time when other companies are launching similar efforts. Google will launch the Stadia platform in November.

Microsoft has long been revealing details of the xCloud Project that will bring Xbox games to iOS and Android from time to time.
