The two M50i SUVs have the same updated version of the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine, which produces 523 horsepower and 750 Nm of rotating power, 67 horsepower and 100 Nm more than the xDrive50i versions of both models.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The company has made public little photos of the car, showing the part and interior details.

The updated engine features an aluminum block that provides rigidity. Power is boosted through a eight-speed transmission equipped with a rotating power converter.

The two SUVs have a 4 × 4 steering system with a M Sport electronic ballast managed by the stability control system. This system sends 100% steering to the rear wheels under certain driving conditions.

Performance numbers have not yet been revealed, but BMW declares that the X5 and X7 reach the speed of 100 km/h for 4.1 seconds and 4.5 seconds, respectively, and the maximum speed for both models is 250 km/h. The X5 xDrive50i and X7 xDrive50i have an acceleration of 4.7 seconds and 5.4 seconds respectively.

The X5 M50i has Adaptive M Amortization with Adaptive Damping, while the X7 M50i has a variable-height air damper with variable control. This depreciation is optional at X5.

X5 M50i and X7 M50i are differentiated from standard X5 and X7 models with a more structured bumper with larger cooling channels, new spheres under the door, and new puddles.

Inside, the illuminated logo of the M50i is displayed inside the door, the wheel is M-Sport, as well as sports seats.

The models will arrive in 2020.

While the actuary model is very powerful and has managed to pass the record it has set itself, the successor is expected to be even faster, Telegraph reports.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

It was said that the RS3 model, speeds from zero to 100 miles per hour, will take it for 4.1 seconds, but runway tests showed it could only do it in 3.9 seconds.

This will be just a record of the past, as with the new model being launched next year, this time will be passed at much faster speeds.

These are the official data reported by the German company’s officials, and recently reporters who deal with new cars have seized this car, and the tassels were tested at the rush.

While there is no camouflage layer, the Audi RS3, which will be a powerful Mercedes A-Class rival, looks very good.

Comparison: Range Rover Evoque vs. Volvo XC40

Comparison: Range Rover Evoque vs. Volvo XC40

The award-winning Cars of the Year, Range Rover Evoque had a success when it arrived in 2011. About 800,000 units were sold by this model worldwide.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Now there is also a new model standing against fierce rivals. It’s about the Volvo XC40.

The Swedish SUV has shifted the sector with luxury interior and driving experience. Can claim the Range Rover Evoque the class that created itself?

> Check Out: Analysis: 2019 Audi A6

Range Rover Evoque

Range Rover Evoque
Range Rover Evoque

The new Evoque has a great name for which he lives but will have to defeat the XC40 to win the crown of victory. The model we will compare is the D180 diesel in R-Dynamic S cut, which costs $52,770.

Design and engineering

Outside, Evoque looks like an evolutionary step (no major style changes) but underneath it is hiding a brand new platform called Premium Transverse Architecture.

This configuration is designed to accommodate electrification, including hybrid engines in the future.

But for now, there are a number of diesel and petrol engines you can choose. The comparison version is a 2.0-liter 178 hp horsepower, combined with nine-speed automatic transmission, incorporating a mild-hybrid system to reinforce responsiveness and efficiency.

Use MacPherson-strut amortization with a multi-connector configuration at the back, which is standard in this class, while additional shock absorbers are optional ($1,040).

Rotating power uses the brakes to make Suv more versatile, with some driving styles, including off-road. Evoque has a Terrain Response system that monitors driving conditions and changes engine configurations to fit the conditions.

It also has mountain driving controls as well as diving depths up to 600 mm. Driving with all active tires is activated only when needed.

The R-Dynamic S comes with 18-inch wheels, LED lights, heated leather seats and satellite navigation. The information system includes a 10-inch screen as well as a WiFi hotspot, connected to applications and features, Android Auto and Aplle CarPlay.

> Check Out: Labels, letters and tire numbers: What do they mean?

Driving

Evoque is one of the best class cars that focuses on its driver. The comfortable driving position is easily noticeable compared to the extremely high seats at Volvo. The same thing is with the wheel.

The wheel’s return is much sharper than the XC40. As a result, Evoque has a better body control of the car.

But performance does not come at the cost of comfort, as Evoque is also driving lightly. Since Range Rover forgives the driver’s self-confidence and comfort, it is not so important that he is a little slower in the straight line. The acceleration 0-96 km/h took 9.7 seconds of driving, 0.9 seconds after the XC40. While at speeds of 50-110 km/h, Evoque defeats its rival.

The D180 is a bit noisy when the car takes the gas at first, but the Range Rover speed is much quieter and more relaxed than the rival. The engine responds faster than the XC40 thanks to the mild-hybrid system that shamng delays.

Practicality

Evoque has always been a style-focused car, and the new model again features a typical roof. Despite the low and panoramic roof, the space at the back and the space at the feet is acceptable, and why the XC40 is a bit bigger in this regard.

Ownership

Land Rover does not have the best reputation in reliability, yet among the 26 vehicle manufacturers, it marks the fifth in the 2018 driving pleasure study. The car uses the latest technology of the company.

Security Assistance is a real match for the two rivals. Both cars have lane holders, and automatic emergency braking.

Like the XC40, Evoque has seven standard airbags, including one for pedestrians. Both models marked five stars at Euro NCAP in safety testing.

Volvo XC40

Volvo XC40
Volvo XC40

The Volvo XC40 is one of its best class cars. It’s a key model for Evoque if you want to reach the pinnacle of this sector. The comparison model is a D4 R-Design Pro, which costs $49,790 – a little cheaper than Evoque, though extremely close.

Design and engineering

Many of Volvo‘s major machines, such as the XC60 and V90, are based on Scaleable Product Architecture, but the XC40 uses a smaller Compact Modular Architecture platform.

This is a scalable chassis that uses MacPherson-strut amortization with a multi-connection configuration at the back. The 2.0-liter diesel engine with 187 horsepower has a revolving 400 Nm of power, and is therefore a little more powerful but has a smaller torque than Evoque. There is an eight-speed automatic transmission and four active tires as well.

Interior quality is a strong point for modern Volvo, and the XC40 is no exception. The materials are of a weaker quality than the larger models, but the clever way they are used and the design of the headset make the XC40 feel like a very high quality even though it’s as premium as Evoque.

The information system is very good, but the Range Rover looks more modern. In R-Design Pro cutting, Volvo has a satellite navigation feature, a digital instrument panel, autonomous braking, practical sensors and LED headlights, as well as a heated seat and heated windscreen.

Cameras with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality are additional add-on options. Meanwhile, both are standards at Evoque.

> Check Out: 2020 Mercedes GLS: This is the BMW X7’s most ugliest rival

Driving

Volvo has designed the XC40 to deliver comfort during driving. There is a balance between driving and monotone. Its amortization makes the car not feel even in the worst hits and holes both in the city and at high speeds. But it does not respond as fast as the Range Rover.

The 2.0-liter D4 diesel engine is less bulky than Evoque when driven normally, as it is well insulated from the cabin. But road and wind noise are a problem for the XC40, and at 110 km/h speeds there is a large de-fuel in the finite terms.

Transmission of the gear is gentle but not as fast as we would have liked in some situations, for example when it slows down and then gives the car gas. This is a problem for Evoque, but in a smaller amount.

The extra power and lower weight work in favor of the XC40 in the performance test, where the Swedish model was about 1 second faster at 0-96 mk/h and 80-110 km/h. However, it was slower than Evoque in the fifth gear, six, seven, and eight.

Practicality

As we said above, the XC40 has more interior space for rear passengers and footrests. Also the luggage space is larger. Volvo is able to pull 100kg more than its rival, which can pull 2,000kg in total.

Ownership

Volvo managed to occupy the 13th place in the 2018 Driving Experience study. The automatic foot restraint recognition and lane holder are standard, as are seven airbags. The Volvo XC40 marked five stars at Euro NCAP in safety testing.

It is worth noting that the IntelliSafe Surround extra cost package, which adds blind spots to announcements and automatic braking when the car is moving backwards.

Ford Focus ST Estate

Ford Focus ST Estate Revealed

After the debut of the Ford Focus ST hatch, Focus ST Estate has the same performance with it but with a greater baggage.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

From the stitch point of view, the changes in the back are very sharp. There is a haven in the front. The rear design is more or less like the ST-Line models, but there are two two-way discharge pipes.

At the front, the Estate has a lattice in the shape of a hatchet. It is 10 mm lower than the rest of the Focus range, with 20% more durable rear shock absorber and 13% rear.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S wheels and the electronically limited differential complete chassis changes.

Under the hood, there are two choices for the engine. The performance fans have the 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, which produces 276 horsepower – 29 horsepower more than the outgoing model – and 420 Nm of rotating power.

The extra weight of the Estate compared to the hatch affects the time to reach the acceleration 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.

A diesel engine has 187 horsepower and 360 Nm of rotating power is 2.0-liter and is the most powerful diesel engine ever set on a Focus car. Speeds up to 0-100 km/h for 7.7 seconds.

The petrol unit is available with six-speed manual transmission, or with seven-speed automatic transmission. The diesel version is only available with manual.

The Ford Focus ST Estate will have a $39,140 initial price for the diesel model and $42,335 for the petrol model when it comes out in the summer. Each is $1,400 more expensive than hatch-style equivalents.

2020 Audi A4 Facelift Allroad and Avant models revealed

2020 Audi A4 Facelift Allroad and Avant models revealed

Now there is a new version of the company’s best-selling car, with a new look, with engine updates and a very attractive interior design.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The current generation of Audi A4 has been in service for four years, but with BMW launching the new 3 Series and Jaguar, which is launching an improved XE last months, the A4 has begun to look a bit appalling.

Now the A4 comes with two versions, Allroad and Avant. Only the roof remains from the old car, every other part has been improved.

Much of the changes come to the front. The new grill is wider and lower, and the bumper awaits larger air intakes.

It has a different look, depending on the variant of the car, with horizontal split in the SE and Sport variants, and with vertical chromium partition on Allroad quattro.

Front headlights are also young. LED lights are standard in all variants, as well as available matrix lights and animations.

The body design of the car is taken from A1 Sportback.

On the interior, the car remains almost the same with the front. But the screen is bigger. It’s 10.1-inch, and has a new touch screen.

The Virtual Cockpit also has a different design, along with a screen that radiates in the car windshield.

But the biggest news comes from the undercarriage of the car. In addition to the 187-engine 2.0-liter engine and the 228-horsepower 3.0-liter diesel engine, all engines are mild-hybrid.

Two new 2.0-liter diesel engines, a 30 TDI with 134 horsepower and a 35 TDI with 161 horsepower, and three 2.0-liter gasoline engines (148 horsepower of 35 TFSI, 187 horsepower 40 TFSI and 242 horsepower 45 TFSI), are now combined with the 12-volt electric system.

Meanwhile, the high performance S4 instead of the old 349 horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine now uses a 342 horsepower 3.0-liter TDI diesel engine with a 48-volt, mild-hybrid system that develops a 700 revolving power Nm.

Audi A4 will be available for sale in September with a prize of $35,000.

Analysis: 2019 Audi A6

Analysis: 2019 Audi A6

The 2019 Audi A6 – the luxury sedan of the average size that offers the latest Audi technology, from the magnifying glass headlights, the high-resolution virtual platform (Virtual Cockpit) to the Quattro all-wheel drive system. This car is definitely the most wonderful achievement of the company.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

You may have heard about the crazy sales growth of the Audi in the US markets. Perhaps the main component that has contributed to this growth is this luxury sedan.

A6 is Audi’s resistance to gravitational market forces. The model has managed to increase sales of the company at a time when buyers prefer more and more SUVs every day.

Audi will debut the eighth generation of A6 in 2019, offering a luxury car with a visual presence that is offered only by high grade sedans but at an affordable price of $58,900.

What has changed in the 2019 Audi A6?

The reason why the 2019 Audi A6 has a high presence is the size. The A6 has more interior space, both in width and height, providing more space for both front and rear passengers. Well, this is needed to stay in the market at a time when SUVs are being attacked.

An enigmatic decision in the formal and prestigious styling of A6, are the false lines in the backpack near the discharge tubes. A6 turns the discharge tubes upside down as they reach the backpack, so they are almost invisible.

The 19-inch wheels are standard. They give the A6 an intentional position, while the optional 20 and 21-inch wheels make the car look a bit more … expensive.

A6 offers the look of an expensive color machine, which offers a variety of monochrome shades. An A6 in Firmanent Blue color will look like black until you see it in detail. Even the green color offers the same presence.

What does an A6 hide under the skin?

For 2019, the standard engine is a soft, direct injection turbo, V6 with 335 horsepower and 500 Nm of rotating power – about 60Nm from last year’s model.

A dual-clutch automatic transmission with seven speed levels that makes you feel like with traditional auto-transmissions with a rotating power converter, drives you through the system with all the active tires.

In the V6 engine, air flows from the outer suction pipes to a central discharge in the engine valley, where the turbocharger is dumping the residue from the pair of cylinders in alternating sequences. The car of 2018 used a driven compressor to increase power, but the turbines in the 2019 model are more efficient.

The engine has a compression ratio of 11.2: 1 and is smart enough to open the valve depending on the engine speed to optimize the combustion. A four-cylinder engine that saves more fuel will arrive later, according to reports from the company.

To push this art of burning in the electrified future, lies the 48-volt electric system, which is capable of empowering many of the A6’s electrical systems, ranging from the automatic engine start / stop system. The ignition-switch-off system is a major upgrade compared to the Audi’s past models.

The new engine has fuel economy figures of 13 liters / 100 km in the city and 9.8 liters / 100 km on the highway, combined with figures of 11.5 liters / 100 km, improving fuel economy in the city and combining 1.2 liter / 100 km from the old V6 engine model. The fuel economy on the highway is stable.

The engine relies on a chassis that is more rigid than before, with an aluminum alloy and high quality steel.

Sports amortization lowers the vehicle’s height by 20 mm for a lower gravity center and faster reflexes. The steering wheel is slower in the center and becomes faster as much as the wheel turns.

Vehicle manufacturers like this technology. Perhaps even their customers, but finding a change of steering response to commands may confuse the driver, as the steering response may never be what he expects at that moment. Especially at low speeds or when it gets strong curves.

Security systems

A6’s computers can help you drive, through the driver control system described as the “hands-on” system. The car needs driver input in the steering wheel, but has an automatic speed reduction or braking maneuver to keep the right distance to the front of the vehicle. The system operates at speeds of 0 to 150 km/h.

A6 does not drive the steering wheel automatically, but helps keep the lane. Other security technologies include the Audi Pre-Sense City, which operates at speeds up to 85 km/h to track vehicles, pedestrians and road bikers.

If there is a risk of collision, the car will automatically restrain to avoid the accident.

Similarly, if you want to change the route, but the A6 computer predicts traffic on that road, then the car skips that action and applies the brakes to keep the A6 in the lane.

For bicycle paths, Vehicle Exit Warning illuminates the red LED door light, and delay door opening for a second if it dictates objects approaching the car.

The interior of the 2019 Audi A6

Audi in Latin means “listen”, so the company has adapted this sense of the name to some of the features offered by audio. The two Bang and Olufsen sound systems, along with the advanced sound system, B & O 3D incorporate 19 loudspeakers playing through 19 channels separated by a 1,820 watt amplifier.

However, a distinctive feature of Audi is no longer. The revolving MMI controller for information has been replaced by a couple of touchscreens at the center of the scratch.

The upper display is for navigation and stereo functions, while the bottom screen is for heating and cooling systems. The screen above is a large 10.1-inch unit (8.8-inch in the Premium Base Model), while the bottom is 8.6-inch. The driver can write the commands on the screen below with your fingertips, write them on the virtual keyboard on the screen, or through the voice.

The 2019 Audi A6 also has the Audi second-generation virtual platform, a 12.3-inch front driver’s screen that serves the instrument panel and navigation. While data such as vehicle speed, speed limit, and future turns are reflected on the head-up screen.

The 2019 A6 3.0T Quattro starts at $58.900, excluding the destination tariff.

A6 is an impressive achievement of the company, and seems to continue to positively affect Audi’s sales for this year

Volkswagen Announces Its First Electric Car Is On Presale Now

Volkswagen’s first long-distance electric car, the ID.3, promises to rival Tesla when it hits the streets next year. But, VW has started the war early by making the ID.3 available for presale already. For a deposit of just €1,000, consumers can secure one of the first battery-powered ID.3’s off the production line. But how will VW’s latest innovation stand out among all the other electric vehicles on the market?

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Going electric

The EU has introduced strict electric vehicle targets in recent years, so it’s not surprising that VW has chosen to up its role in the EV market. By 2021, all auto manufacturers based in Europe need to ensure that their new vehicles produce no more than 95g of carbon dioxide per km. As such, going electric is the key to dramatically reducing CO2 emissions. Of all the vehicle choices for consumers, electric powered ones are gaining popularity. During 2018, sales in the EU topped 408,000 units, which was a 33% increase on the year before.

The ID.3 at a glance

VW is planning to launch three different versions of the ID.3. The German automobile producer has promised to make the vehicle as low-cost as possible, and have suggested that the cheapest model will come in at under €30,000. A limited edition of the ID.3 will also be unveiled and will offer free battery charging for a year. The three models will have different size batteries, varying between 45kWh, 58kWh, and 77kWh. As a result, the ID.3 will be capable of traveling between 200 and 342 miles after each full charge.

Future plans

Motorists who preorder the ID.3 will have to wait some time to get behind the wheel of their new set of wheels. The vehicle isn’t expected to go into production until the end of the year and will hit forecourts in the middle of 2020. However, once the initial vehicles roll off the production line, VW plans to produce 100,000 of them per year. By releasing the ID.3 in such high numbers, VW hopes that their new concept will be just as attractive as their previous popular models, the Beetle and the Golf.

Electric vehicles are the car of the future. So it makes sense for one of Europe’s biggest auto manufacturers to launch a standout EV. And while there is much hype surrounding the ID.3, motorists will have to wait at least a year before they can determine whether it’s really as good as it’s being made out to be.

Labels, letters and tire numbers: What do they mean?

Labels, letters and tire numbers: What do they mean?

Are you looking to buy new tires? This guide helps you discover the mysteries behind some of the labels and codes printed on them.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The Labels

All new tires sold in the European Union after November 2012 come with a standard label.

It serves to classify tires according to three categories: fuel consumption, moisture friction and the noise they produce.

Evaluation starts with A green (best result) at red G (the weakerest result. The noise produced is measured in decibels (dB).

The label itself is similar to those of the household appliances. This is done so that car drivers get more information when buying new tires.

Fuel consumption

This label shows the friction of the tire during rotation by measuring the amount of energy that is lost. This amount of energy consumed depends on the consumption of tire wear and their crushing.

Tires that have lower friction during rotation consume less fuel and as a result the rating is higher.

Dripping friction

The assessment of the friction of the rubber in the humidity is measured by the distance that the machine needs to stop in rainy weather.

Indeed the stopping distance depends on several factors, but the main thing is rubbing  with humidity asphalt and their pressure.

Car tire manufacturers strive to find the middle of gold between low fuel consumption and proper friction on the road.

Noises

The outer noise generated by the tires is measured in decibels (dB) and is a recently introduced indicator so that drivers can avoid acoustic pollution.

This is intended to reduce street noise. The visual indicator is in wave form from the lowest to the highest. With tires that produce little noise, not only those around you will feel grateful, but also your own car.

Understanding numbers

Each tire has letters and printed numbers that provide the right information about the rubber you need in your car.

They determine the width, height, diameter, profile, maximum weight, and maximum speed. Above is an example.

And here’s what each of the numbers and letters show:

  • 193 – The width of the rubber in millimeters
  • 60 – Rubber height R – Radiation construction
  • 15 – Diameter of the disks in inches
  • 94 – The maximum weight that can hold the tires
  • W – The maximum speed that tires can withstand

These data are used to determine the ideal rubber pressure.

Maximum speed according to the letters

The letter corresponding to the maximum speed of the rubber is the last of the numbers and fonts printed on it. It shows the maximum speed they can afford. Here’s a chart:
