This model will directly rival the new Audi Q2 and the new BMW X2. GLA will remain the smallest, cheapest in the family of Mercedes SUVs.
In the leaked photoshoots, it is seen that the new GLA will not be much different in design than its current version. The biggest change to this pattern will be under the “skin”.
The new GLA will come with Mercedes’ newest platform, called the MFA2, which makes it to have more cabin space.
The GLA will have the same engine range as the A-Class. That means its customers will be offered the new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine in two options, one with 148 hp and the other with 188 hp and the 1.5-liter diesel model that produces 114 hp.
Even the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol model producing 221 horsepower will be available while the super-sporty 400-horsepower version of the Mercedes-AMG will be the most powerful version to be offered with the GLA.
