Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G revealed: Good news for those who want performance and 5G but without spending

The first phones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor have just hit the market, but the company hasn’t stopped

On Monday Qualcomm introduced a new version of the processor, the Snapdragon 768G model which has higher processes and graphics performance compared to its predecessor. The debut of this processor is important news because it will power mid-range smartphones with performance similar to flagships that have 8xx series Snapdragon processors like this year’s Snapdragon 865 but at several times in lower price.

The original Snapdragon 765G model was introduced in December along with the Snapdragon 765 and 865. The suffix “G“, “gaming”, means that this processor has higher performance in video games compared to the standard 765 model thanks to more advanced Adreno 620 graphics.

Also the two 765 processors were noted for bringing 5G technology to mid-range smartphones. But let’s get to the Snapdragon 768G which has 15% higher graphics performance and 2.8Ghz frequency compared to the 2.4Ghz Snapdragon 765G.

The other aspects are the same. It comes with 5G technology, Snapdragon X52 modem with two frequencies mmWave, and sub-6Ghz. Like the Snapdragon 765G, the Snapdragon 768G is designed for video game-oriented smartphones. It will make his debut at the Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition today.
