BenQ Announces PD3420Q Designer Monitor

In the wake of the growing popularity of ultra-wide monitors, BenQ is expanding its DesignVue line with the PD3420Q Designer Monitor. The monitor is dedicated to multimedia professionals and content creators who need accurate color rendering while working, KitGuru reports.

From the outside, the PD3420Q is similar to the latest BenQ PD models, with a “borderless” design and a black interior, with a polished metal base. The back of the monitor is made of matte black plastic. In addition to standard navigation keys, the Hotkey Puck G2 controller is also available.

The monitor has a 34-inch IPS panel with 60Hz refresh and 3440×1440 (21:9) resolution, a 5ms G2G response and 1000:1 contrast. The viewing angles of the monitor are 178 degrees. The display comes with factory-calibrated support for average DeltaE of ≤3 and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum as well as 100% sRGB color gamut. The maximum brightness is 350 cd/m² but can be increased up to 400 cd/m² with HDR.

When it comes to connectors, it offers 1x DisplayPort 1.4 port, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports and 3x USB 3.1 ports at the bottom, as well as a USB Type-C (DP alt mode) port, with 3.5mm audio jack port and one USB port 3.1 located on the left side. Also present are 2/ 2.5 speakers.
