Epic will give $10 credit to anyone who downloads Rocket League for free

The promotion will run from today until October 23 while the coupon is valid until November 1st

Starting today Rocket League is free to play, and as part of the promotion, Epic Games has decided to donate $10 credits to be spent on the Epic Games Store if you go to download the game from them.

The move apparently comes as an attempt to get PC gamers from Steam on their platform. Rocket League is no longer on Steam but whoever bought it from there can continue to play it, and that version will continue to receive support and updates.

This is not the first time Epic has undertaken such campaigns, every week it delivers various free games. The most famous is GTA V, which was downloaded so much that it crashed Epic servers.

You have one week to get Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel for free

Epic Games Store has delighted us with free games lately, with the last two weeks brought to us by GTA 5 and Civilization 6. This week good luck continues with Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. You can download it now for free.

The Handsome Collection is a fairly large package, containing Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and a range of DLC packages for both games. Practically there is a lot of looting and shooting.

Borderlands 2 was relatively well-received by the critics as a game and even the shooter players have been pleased with it. The Pre-Sequel then wasn’t even that ambitious or interesting, but hey, they’re free. We are not in a strong position to have whims now.
