The MSI GS Stealth line is known to users for several reasons, including its slim, lightweight design for aesthetic jobs. MSI GS66 Stealth has an upgraded battery, which plays to the permissible capacity requirements levels and offers 99.9Wh. This represents an update of over 25% compared to 2019 GS65 Stealth.

In addition to the aforementioned battery, the laptop also has MSI’s new Cooler Boost Trinity+ cooling system. This system uses the world’s thinnest laptop fan system (0.1 mm) and enables a 10% improvement in air circulation and superior heat transfer compared to the previous generation.

MSI has not released the full specifications of the GS66 Stealth model, but did mention that the laptop uses Intel Comet Lake processor series, Intel HD or Nvidia Discrete graphics card, RGB keyboard and 15.6-inch 240Hz Full HD IPS display.

The MSI GS66 Stealth laptop is expected in the coming months, when we will reveal its full specifications.

MSI announced three TRX40 motherboards

MSI has announced three TRX40 motherboards for the third generation of Threadripper processors. The boards are intended for professionals and creators and include the Creator TRX40, TRX40 PRO 10G and TRX40 PRO WIFI models, KitGuru reports.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

MSI Creator TRX40 is the premium model in this offering, while the company points out that the motherboard comes with a new cooling solution, with a large VRM heat conductor. Heatsink and frozr fan are used for chip cooling, while protection for on-board sound hardware and dual M.2 Shield, which keeps the SSD temperature under control, are also present.

MSI’s PCIe 4.0 lines offer 64 GB/s of data traffic, enabling plenty of support for PCIe 4.0 SSDs. In addition, the M.2 XPANDER-AERO add-in card offers the option of connecting four M.2 SSDs to a single card, with data transfer speeds of 64 GB/s.

VRM uses 16 stages, while the MSI Core Boost function is coming back. Finally, the Creator TRX40 has 19 USB ports, two LAN ports (including 10G Super LAN connection), and Wi-Fi 6 support.

TRX40 PRO 10G and TRX40 PRO WIFi are very similar motherboards. Again the M.2 XPANDER card for SSD is offered, the new cooling solution for tiles. The differences are that PRO 10G offers 10G LAN, while PRO WIFI has on-board Wi-Fi 6.

The price of MSI TRX40 motherboards has not been announced, and should go on sale later in the month.

The first photos of MSI TRX40 motherboard

Information on AMD’s TRX40 platform is becoming more and more frequent, with MSI motherboard photos now intended to support the next generation of Threadripper processors, according to Overclock3D.

MSI TRX40 Pro WiFi and TRX40 Pro 10G motherboards were showcased online, with photos provided by @KOMACHI_ENSAKA on Twitter. Like other TRX40 motherboards, which have appeared earlier, MSI models also use dual channel DIMMs with four channels and have large VRM heat conductors.

The MSI solution also has improved cooling chips, which suggests that the company’s motherboards will support PCIe 4.0, like most of AMD’s X570 motherboards.

The differences between the TRX40 Pro WiFi and TRX40 Pro 10G models are their internet connection options – the TRX40 Pro WiFi has built-in Wi-Fi card, while the TRX40 Pro 10G uses a 10Gb Ethernet add-on card. There is currently no information about the release date and pricing of these motherboards.
