Bloomberg reports that Samsung is committed to a foldable phone, with a 6.7-inch vertical screen that can be folded in half and squared off, like phones once folded.

It is rumored that Samsung is planning a second foldable phone, which will have these features and will launch early next year.

The glass of the phone will be three percent more fractured and likely to return to normal state better than the Galaxy Fold model, while other specifications have not been revealed.

The co-op chosen for this phone is the luxury clothing company Zegna, which will take care of the phone design. While with Fold has not meet the expectations, Samsung is thought to have learned from the mistakes and succeeded with the new phone that could be much better.

Specifically, the model with serial number SM-F900U will come with an internal 512GB space. This may suggest that the smartphone will have built-in space without any extension of the microSD card.

Other details reveal that folding phone should be available in two variants of colors, gray and black.

Samsung has already revealed the phone screen, calling it Infinity Flex Display. The half inch inch 7.3 inch OLED screen will be supported by a smaller screen that appears when the phone is in folded mode.

Samsung should unveil the folding phone officially at the beginning of 2019, where it is expected to receive a $1,000 prize.

Samsung Confirms: Foldable and 5G phones to be launched next year

Samsung has released Wednesday findings for the third quarter of 2018, revealing it has reached a new high level for the company. But phone sales did not help in achieving a new record, though Samsung said in their press release that the side phones had steady sales during this period – it’s about the Galaxy Note 9 and S9.

But the most important detail of the announcement relates to forecasts for the next quarter and 2019, where Samsung confirmed that foldable phones and 5G phones are emerging for the near future.

Samsung posted $57.45 billion in consolidated quarterly revenue, a 5.5% increase from last year, and $15.42 billion in operating profit, up 20.9%.

But the Korean company has been cautious in the opinion for the fourth quarter of the year and the beginning of 2019 in their press release.

Storage devices and OLED devices for mobile devices released the third quarter of Samsung to new levels, but storage space gains may fall in the next quarter. However, OLED’s orders will remain strong in the fourth quarter, says Samsung, “thanks to the continued high demand from key customers.

In other words, Apple is buying lots of OLED screens for the iPhone XS series.

Phone sales will increase in the coming quarter, but revenue is expected to decline due to “increased marketing costs”

Samsung called Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9 as factors that would help boost shipments in the fourth quarter. These are the phones that Samsung announced in previous weeks, coming with triple cameras.

Samsung Foldable phone may be launched next month

Samsung Foldable phone may be launched next month

Samsung is approaching the launch of their foldable phones, a prototype that is was likely developed for years.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

In a Twitter post last week, the company harbored a major breakthrough of the device, or at least a prototype version of it, describing their future development conference as a “crossroads between the present and the future,” and pointing at a thin graph, two lines unfolding in the shape of the right arrow.

We have heard for a time that Samsung was close to the folding phone presentation. CEO of Samsung, DJ Koh, has hinted in an interview with CNBC in September that the product may arrive this year, but we have not seen any devices yet, even at the prototype stage.

It seems as everything could change as early as next month, and now it is more likely than ever that a form of device software interface or possibly any current device appears at the Samsung Development Conference in San Francisco, which begins on November 7th.

So far, all we have is this 2014 video concept that shows how such a device might look like and how it might be folding a phone to significantly reduce its size.

Prior to this, Samsung displayed a flexible AMOLED display prototype in 2012.
