Samsung revealed Galaxy Book Flex α, with Intel 10th-gen processors and QLED display

Last year, Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex, which came in both 13- and 15-inch variants. Yesterday, before the launch of CES, the company has announced a new, apparently lower-cost member of this line, the Galaxy Book Flex α

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

This new device shares much with the original, with a convertible form factor, a 13.3-inch Full HD QLED touchscreen display, and 10th-generation Intel processors. The screen also supports an active style, as in the previous model, but does not come with an S Pen.

Galaxy Book Flex Alpha weighs 1.19 pounds, while Galaxy Book Flex weighs 1.1 kg. The Book Ion has a starting weight of 0.9 kg (1.1 kg for the 15-inch model). The thickness of the Alpha model is 13.9 mm, while the weight of the other two laptops is 12.9 mm.

To make it at a lower sales price, Samsung also had to make some compromises on the Flex Alpha model. Available is a smaller 54Whr battery (compared to 69.7 Whr on the other two laptops). The graphics processor is also limited and uses the Intel UHD option. Also, the maximum storage space is up to 512 GB SSD, while the RAM options go up to 12 GB.

Galaxy Book Flex α Key Specs

  • CPU: Undisclosed Intel 10th-gen Core processor
  • Display: 13.3-inch FHD (1920×1080) QLED display, 600 nits
  • GPU: Intel UHD Graphics
  • Memory: Up to 12GB DDR4
  • Storage: Up to 512GB SSD
  • Ports: USB-C, USB 3.0 x 2, HDMI, microSD, combo audio jack
  • WLAN: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax 2×2)
  • Battery: 54Wh
  • Dimensions: 304.9 x 202 x 13.9mm
  • Weight: 2.6 pounds (1.19 kg)

Like the Flex and Ion models, the Flex Alpha has a fingerprint sensor on the keyboard and is characterized by a significant number of ports. Two USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C slot, an HDMI connector and a microSD card reader are offered.

Galaxy Book Flex Alpha has 10th-generation Intel Core processors, WiFi 6 support and stereo speakers. Samsung has not given a specific launch date, and the company says the laptop is expected in the first half of 2020, starting at $829.99.

Samsung may introduce a real “zero frame” TV at CES 2020

Samsung may soon fulfill its promise, which it once made, to introduce frameless TVs. Sources suggest that the South Korean company plans to introduce ‘zero bezel’ TV during the CES 2020 event earlier this month, with mass production of the TV set to begin in February.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

More concrete details are not available, but it is suggested that the design will conceive the screen and the main housing of the adjacent TV to eliminate the usual frames, and this will apply to models 56 inches or higher.

Samsung has so far confirmed nothing about the project, so rumors have to be taken with caution. However, it is interesting to note that Samsung in early 2019 had protected the trademark for the brand “Zero Bezel”, which may indicate the company’s plans.

The assumption is that such a TV, if it appears on the market, will be very expensive. Samsung is developing the chips needed to support 8K, while combining exotic design with a large panel would mean that even “ordinary” 8K TVs would be priced high.

Galaxy S11 looks impressive, in the latest video render (Video)

The design concepts we had seen so far for the Galaxy S11 were, unfortunately, something we had already seen in other smartphones.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Now, the design remains the same, but these new concepts make the camera look more appealing. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11 is starting to look great.

Recent introductions from @OnLeaks and CashKaro look amazing.

Also, a report was published by the Israeli website Girafa that says the S11 series will launch on February 11 in San Francisco, California.

We can also see the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 during this event, and now we only have to wait and see if we are getting the Galaxy S11 or a new Samsung Galaxy S20.

There is much to be praised but there will also be those who will hate some changes. Overall public opinion believes that Samsung has a phone that will change the rules of the game next year.

Codename – Galaxy S11 is reported to have the Picasso codename. Why? Because the biggest change to the phone will be…

Camera – The Ice Verse Insider revealed that the Galaxy S11 will have a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. It will stand alongside the 108-megapixel main camera.

Design – The Galaxy Note 10 Plus had a cutting-edge design and the Galaxy S11 will push it further by narrowing the space for selfie cameras.

Display – Samsung will bring a 120Hz display as this year it lacked a 60Hz display phone while OnePlus and Google sell such phones.

Three models:

  • 6.4-inch Galaxy S11
  • 6.7-inch Galaxy S11+
  • 6.9-inch Galaxy S11 5G

Performance – Galaxy S11 comes with a Snapdragon 865 processor which is 20% faster than the Snapdragon 855 graphically and 35% more power efficient. The phone also comes with LPDDR5 RAM, 30% faster than its predecessor.

Connectivity – Snapdragon 865 has 5G included and obviously the Galaxy S11 will have 5G. Wi-Fi 6 has also become standard since the Galaxy S10 and Note 10.

Biometrics – Samsung won’t introduce a Face ID rival but will add a fingerprint sensor manufactured by Qualcomm which is 17% larger than the Galaxy S10’s scanner.

Battery Life – Another major update will be battery life.

  • Galaxy S11: 4,500 mAh (S10: 3,400 mAh)
  • Galaxy S11+: 5,000 mAh (S10 Plus: 4,100 mAh)

Charging technology will be 45 watts.

Samsung Galaxy A71

Based on Samsung Galaxy A71 and A51, we might also know how Galaxy S11 will look like

Samsung has unveiled two new smartphone models, Galaxy A71 and A51, which have great similarities and are quite attractive.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

However, everyone’s interest is in the new Galaxy S11, and based on these models, you might know what this new phone will look like.

Apparently, both smartphones are very similar, with the AMOLED display, small front camera space, and very thin frames. The rear has a fairly elevated space, with four cameras and a flash.

Galaxy S11 is likely to have the same look launching early next year, but with five cameras in the back and more rounded shapes. While on the Galaxy A71 and A51, it’s a special-layer backdrop, the same isn’t expected on the Galaxy S11 when it goes on sale.

The most powerful of these two smartphones is the Galaxy A71, with a 6.7-inch screen that offers 2,400 × 1,080 pixels resolution, the processor remains unspecified, while it is known to have 6/8GB of RAM, 128GB Storage, and a 4,500mAh battery.

Galaxy A51 is smaller at 6.5 inches and the same resolution, while the processor specifications are not known, it is said to have 4/6/8GB RAM, 64/128GB of Storage, and 4,000 mAh battery.

Galaxy S11 will be a photographic superpower and the latest information proves it

Samsung Galaxy S11 is preparing to become a photographic superpower. The camera system is shooting through news headlines with the 108-megapixel sensor, 5X optical zoom and 8K video recording.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Finally to concretize everything we have learned to date, some photos have been published of the back of the phone showing the camera setup.

From the image only half of the camera system is displayed which are well organized. The vertically oriented cameras are on the left and are a main camera, one with super wide angle and a periscope lens.

While on the right side although the image does not show, reports suggest a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera and a flash light. Previous designs have shown five rear cameras in the format of an X.

But the latest information Galaxy S11 will have no more than four cameras. The main camera will of course be 108-megapixels developed in collaboration with Xiaomi and applied to the Xiaomi Note 10.

The first Samsung Galaxy S11 design concepts showcased (VIDEO)

The concepts tell us how the device might look like, but they also reveal that some features may eventually disappear. It still takes a few months for the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S11.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

There have been numerous rumors about the device’s camera, screen, and even battery capability information in the 5G variant. However, for the first time, concepts have now been revealed about how the device might look like, thanks to some designs published by OnLeaks, over at 91Mobiles.

We see the camera moved away from the center of the device and tucked away, just like in the Google Pixel 4 or iPhone 11. It looks like the headphone port will be removed.

This device may have sized 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8 mm with a thick body of 8.9 mm. Inside we have to find an Exynos 990 processor or a Snapdragon 865, but we’ll have to wait for confirmation.

Samsung confirms radical changes to Galaxy S11

Samsung confirms radical changes to Galaxy S11

The details of Samsung‘s upcoming flagship day by day are all being released confirming radical new changes. The company itself has confirmed the smartphone for the first time.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Samsung has applied to the Chinese authorities for smartphone registration revealing the exact model number, key functions and charging speed. Samsung confirms that the Galaxy S11 will come with 5G technology, a move that will force all rivals to do the same including Apple.

The second reveal is less positive because the Galaxy S11 will have 25W fast charging technology moving ahead of the Galaxy S10 which is 15W but after the Note 10 with 45W. Samsung is thought to be keeping 45W technologies for the more expensive Galaxy S11 Plus though rivals like OnePlus, Honor and Huawei offer 40W+ charging phones.

But on the other hand, the company is working on a revolutionary new battery technology that will not be available on the Galaxy S11. Samsung will finally bring a new camera codenamed “Hubble” and has extreme zoom power.
