Xiaomi Mi Watch

Xiaomi Mi Watch needs to be charged only twice a month

The big surprise is the price of 99 euros and it will be sold in Europe

Xiaomi just introduced some new phones and along with them a new Mi Watch which looks like the most interesting product among all. Not at the half price of last year’s model, an Apple Watch clone, but something more similar to the Google WearOS or Garmin family.

Still called Mi Watch. The new device needs to be charged only twice a month according to Xiaomi and contains full 117 fitness modes. Xiaomi did not specify exactly what software the watch has installed, but says it is compatible with iPhone iOS 10 and above and Android 4.4 and above.

The watch has a blood oxygen monitoring sensor, stress, and sleep tracking functions, and a heart rate sensor. The Mi Watch screen has a maximum brightness of 450 nits and the watch itself weighs 32 grams.

Xiaomi Mi Watch

Mi Watch by Xiaomi is almost identical to Apple Watch and at half the price

Xiaomi, which competes with Apple for the top spot in the electronics market, added pressure on the iPhone maker today when it introduced the first intelligent watch called the Mi Watch and is almost identical to the Apple watch.

Mi Watch, like the Apple Watch, has a square body with a crown and button. The 1.78-inch AMOLED display has 326 pixels per inch and comes with the feature of keeping the Always On screen on and the MIUI interface, the Xiaomi modified version of Google’s Wear OS.

Inside the metal case, specifically aluminum, there are microphones on both sides for recording voices and making calls while a speaker on the left serves to listen to music and receive calls.

The one-size-fits-all, 44mm Mi Watch has a ceramic backside featuring charging connectors and a heart rate sensor. The clock is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor with 4G network and four 1.2Ghz Cortex-A7 cores. Comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The company says the Mi Watch is the first hour of mobile connectivity (via eSIM), Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC for payments. With a single charge it stands for 36 hours of operation. With Mi Watch users can also track sleep, swim performance, cycling, running as well as measure heart rate.

More than 40 popular apps like TikTok and QQ Messenger are available for Mi Watch. The company has also integrated XiaoAI virtual assistant.

Mi Watch costs $185 and goes on sale in China next week. It is not yet known when it will be sold internationally but if the past repeats, Xiaomi will also sell the watch in India, Singapore, Indonesia and other markets next quarter.

Finally the company says that a variant of the Mi Watch with sapphire glass and steel body will be sold in China next month for $285.
