Dell updates XPS 13 laptops with 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs and Thunderbolt 4

Dell on Monday updated its line of XPS laptops with 11th generation Intel processors. Specifically, the XPS 13 2n1, XPS 13 and XPS12 Developer Edition models. They are the first Dell laptops to receive Intel Evo certification, which means they have fast charging technology and can survive for 9 hours on a single charge. They can also wake up from “sleep” in less than 1 second.

All three systems are equipped with new Thunderbolt 4 ports and RAM has been upgraded to frequency from 3,733Mhz LPDDR4X to 4,267Mhz and a maximum capacity of 32GB RAM. Powered by 11th generation Intel Tiger Lake processors introduced last month by Intel.

An important detail of these models is definitely the Intel Xe graphics. The 2n1 model has an IR camera that is powered by Windows Hello. The convertible model starts at $1,249 while the XPS 13 from $999.

The Developer Edition model brings Ubuntu 20.04LTS and Dell says it can last with a single charge for 19 hours. This model comes with the new InfinityEdge FHD+ display while Dell did not reveal the price. The laptops goes on sale from September 30 and will appear in the American, European, and Asian markets.

Dell brings the 27-inch 4K monitor with built-in calibration tool

Dell has unveiled its newest monitor, the UP2720Q. This 27-inch model was created for users who need a monitor for processing photos and videos with improved color accuracy.

Dell UP2720Q monitor comes in 4K resolution, and according to the company, it will be the first model of this size and resolution to come with an integrated colorimeter.

For those who don’t know, the colorimeter is a tool used to calibrate the monitor. This means that users can quickly and easily configure their monitor whenever they want or need it. Dell also points out that this will help with efficiency because the colorimeter helps keep the constant from entering the exit.

Other features of the monitor include the implementation of the Thunderbolt 3 connection for faster data transfer, and the connection of laptops that can be charged into the monitor.

Dell UP2720Q is not cheap and will retail for $2000, with the market expected on January 15, 2020.

Dell prepares the first OLED laptop

Dell’s first OLED laptop is near its debut. The 15.6-inch XPS 15 7590 long-awaited will debut on June 27th the company announced.

The 4K Ultra HD OLED display will be the first in the XPS line with 3840 × 2160 resolution. This screen has individual pixels that turn off completely to achieve full black color.

Simply put, OLED screens have the potential to increase battery life because the pixels are completely turned off when there is black color compared to LCD screens to hold active pixels regardless of whether there is light or darkness in a given space.

The XPS 15 7590 offers a wide range of colors, 100% DCI-P3. 4K displays are equipped with Dolby Vision and can reflect reflexes up to 40 times the clearest and black color up to 10 times darker.
