Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G

Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G revealed: Good news for those who want performance and 5G but without spending

The first phones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor have just hit the market, but the company hasn’t stopped

On Monday Qualcomm introduced a new version of the processor, the Snapdragon 768G model which has higher processes and graphics performance compared to its predecessor. The debut of this processor is important news because it will power mid-range smartphones with performance similar to flagships that have 8xx series Snapdragon processors like this year’s Snapdragon 865 but at several times in lower price.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The original Snapdragon 765G model was introduced in December along with the Snapdragon 765 and 865. The suffix “G“, “gaming”, means that this processor has higher performance in video games compared to the standard 765 model thanks to more advanced Adreno 620 graphics.

Also the two 765 processors were noted for bringing 5G technology to mid-range smartphones. But let’s get to the Snapdragon 768G which has 15% higher graphics performance and 2.8Ghz frequency compared to the 2.4Ghz Snapdragon 765G.

The other aspects are the same. It comes with 5G technology, Snapdragon X52 modem with two frequencies mmWave, and sub-6Ghz. Like the Snapdragon 765G, the Snapdragon 768G is designed for video game-oriented smartphones. It will make his debut at the Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition today.

Intel Core 10th GEN Comet Lake S series CPUsIntel Core 10th GEN Comet Lake S series CPUs

Intel Core 10th GEN Comet Lake S series Desktop CPUs are official, with up to 5.3 GHz Boost

Is a high frequency enough to beat AMD?

After months of speculation and information leaks, Intel has unveiled the 10th generation of S-series processors with the Core i9 10900K as the flagship model. For $488 you can buy a 10-core processor with a frequency of up to 5.3Ghz Turbo and 4.9Ghz base.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

But there are even cheaper ones. The second model in the new processor hierarchy is the Core i7-10700 with the power and performance you find in the Core i9 models including hyperthreading which has been extended till the Core i3 models.

Introducing the new processors from Intel is a clear signal to rival AMD and the excellent Ryzen 3000 models especially the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X.

In search of more performance and efficiency, AMD’s chips have been built into the 7-nanometer architecture while Intel’s have remained on the 14-nanometer. However, Intel has an advantage in speed thanks to the Turbo Boost Max technology that has reached version 3.0.

In performance, Intel claims that the i9-10900K is 10% faster than the 9900K in PUBG and 63% faster than the three-year model i7-7700K. The new processor is also 18% faster in 4K video editing than the predecessor and 35% faster than the i7-7700K.

To seduce enthusiasts, Intel will give you more opportunities to “overclock” than. Intel Extreme Tuning Utility has been redesigned to give more control over voltage and frequency. They can even turn off hyperthreading for individual cores.

How does then compare to AMD Ryzen 9 3900X? Until this processor reaches the hands of enthusiasts it is difficult to reach a conclusion, but a simple comparison is the 125-watt power of the Intel processor and the 105-watt of the AMD processor.

With the new processors remaining at 14 nanometers, next year remains an opportunity for the undisputed market leader to bring 10-nanometer architecture, albeit still far from AMD’s 7-nanometer.

Intel responds to AMD with the new 10th gen Comet Lake-H CPUs

Intel unveiled six new 10th generation mobile processors and Comet Lake-H architecture that have up to 16 working processes and 5.3Ghz frequency. These are the fastest processors ever introduced by Intel including desktop ones like the Core i9-9900KS which has a maximum frequency of 5Ghz.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The new processors, which still have 14-nanometer architecture, will accompany the 10-nanometer Ice Lake models currently offered for laptops. But Comet Lake-H is designed to deliver the highest performance for gaming enthusiasts. In fact, the more powerful Core i9-10980HK model has specifications similar to the Core i9-9900K desktop version with 16GB “Smart Cache”, 8 cores and 16 working processes.

The massive 5.3Ghz frequency comes thanks to Thermal Velocity Boost technology. However it is the ventilation and cooling system that will determine the final performance of the new processors.

Intel said there are more than 30 new laptop models coming to market with the 10th generation of processors. Recent processors further ignite the struggle between Intel and AMD as the latter has begun to reduce Intel’s dominance in the industry.

Nvidia RTX 3080 Will you be available in late August?

Many of the upcoming events like E3 and GTC 2020 will not happen because of COVID-19. However, the latest report suggests that the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti will be released in late August.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The late August launch marks the cologne Game Show (CGS). As we know CGS will run between August 25th and 29th so it is a possibility. This may not be surprising as the RTX 2000 series was announced at the same show in 2018.

However, this is only speculation based on past events as there are other events that will take place before CGS. Game Developers Conference GDC will also take place in August and, at the moment we are not sure if any of these events will happen, based on the current situation of Coronavirus.

So this gives Nvidia a series of shows to talk about the upcoming Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti. While the 3080 Ti has been exalting fans for some time now, Tesla and Quadro GPUs may come out first. However, this is only speculation as Nvidia’s current plans may change.

There has also been leaks about the new Ampere card which was 40% faster than the previous one. But one of the most important features in the new RTX 3000 series is that slightly cheaper models will also be able to use ray-tracing. The RTX 3080 Ti will feature 5376 Cude Cores and 12 GB of dash. It will also have a 384bit bandwidth.

After all, the price may fall to the $500 range, though we’re still not sure, given that no official information has been provided. While reports and speculation give an idea of future technology, the current epidemic situation makes things look like a disaster. All we can do is wait and see what the future holds for Team Green and the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti.

RTX 3080 Ti

The RTX 3080 Ti will be 40% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti

Rumors have begun circulating about the new Nvidia GPU

Nvidia’s new generation of GPU Ampere will be announced soon. In public is already known by the name RTX 3080 Ti. However, recent rumors say that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti can be 40% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

These leaks have some fantastic specifications. While HPC (High-Performance Computing) is confirmed to use the TMSC node, the consumer GPU will be based on Samsung’s 10nm node.

Specifications leaked shows 5 variants of Ampere in descending order. At the top, we have the GA102 with a 384-bit bus width. This graphics card has 5376 CUDA Cores and 12GB VRAM. Below it is the GA103 with 3840 CUDA Cores, 320-bit bus width and 10GB VRAM. The last three are GA104, 106 and 107, with specifications lower than the first two. Note that GA105 does not yet exist.

All GPUs will use Samsung’s 10nm 8LPP node and support RTX (ray-tracing). The good news is that the weak GPUs will already have this feature.

This makes us calculate that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 5376 CUDA Cores will perform 40% better than the RTX 2080 Ti. This is a good guess if you point out the difference between earlier versions like the GTX 1080 Ti with 3584 CUDA Cores and the 2080 Ti with 4352 CUDA Cores.

The first generation of NVIDIA RTX GPUs used the Turing architecture. Ampere promises better optimization and more ray-tracing support with Nvidia TensorRT. Ampere will also utilize PCIe 4.0, which allows higher bandwidth for the same bandwidth.

The RTX 3080 Ti can be on a whole other level with the RTX 2080 Ti seeing that it has 700 CUDA Cores more. Nvidia may also be pushing the clock speed even further because of the new node.
