Microsoft decided to go with the latest Intel 10th generation CPUs, codenamed Ice Lake. There were rumors that the company might choose Comet Lake processors. Both are 10th generation processors, but Ice Lake is done in a 10nm process, while Comet Lake is 14nm.

As for the CPU options, we have the Core i5-1035G7 and Core i7-1065G7 available. The Core i5 models do not offer dedicated graphics, while the 15-inch version of the Surface Book 3 only comes with the Core i7.

The GPU also got a real look. The 13.5-inch model gives you the 4GB Max-Q version of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, while the 15-inch model comes with a 6GB GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q.

On the screen side, we have a 3000×2000 screen in the 13.5-inch model, while the 15-inch offers a resolution of 3240×2160 pixels.

2020 Apple MacBook Pro

Apple new 2020 MacBook Pro (13-inch) revealed with Magic Keyboard

Sooner or later, Apple was expected to introduce a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with a Magic Keyboard, and it did today

The laptop comes with 10th generation Intel processors and a base price of $1,299. From a quick glance it can be said that we are dealing with a small update but on the other hand it represents the end of an era because Apple no longer sells laptops with the keyboard with the butterfly mechanism.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

This keyboard has had many problems over the years as its replacement came for the first time on the 16-inch MacBook Pro introduced in November 2019 followed by a MacBook Air on Mars this year. For five years, the company failed to find comfort with the butterfly keyboard, at least since the 2015 MacBook.

As for the new 13-inch model, Apple stands with the Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C ports. The Touch Bar and the fingerprint scanner are also there. But the new MacBook Pro comes with 16GB of RAM at an high 3,733Mhz and starts with a 256GB SSD. RAM can be added up to 32GB while memory up to 4TB.

Regarding Intel processors, Apple says the 10th generation has a Turbo 4.1Ghz frequency and Iris graphics which can withstand the full 6K resolution of the Pro Display XDR screen.

The base model comes with 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM. A switch to 16GB of RAM requires $100 out of the $200 needed with previous models. There has been speculation that the screen could be added to the 14-inch but that hasn’t happened in this case.

The 13-inch screen can reach a brightness of up to 500 nits and supports the range of P3 colors. From today the laptop can be ordered in Apple stores and authorized resellers of the company.

Origin EON15-X

EON15-X Origin’s Laptop Packs an AMD Ryzen 9 3900 12 Core CPU & GeForce RTX 2070 GPU

Origin unveiled an unusual laptop. The EON15-X has a desktop-built processor, the AMD Ryzen 3900 12-core model

Compared to the Ryzen 9 3900X, the processor housed in the laptop has all its features except the power reduction from 105 to 65-watts. Also the speeds are lower but still get 12 cores and 25 processes.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The laptop will be a true gaming machine thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics, 144Hz 1080p display and 32GB of RAM. Although it weighs 2.6Kg, the laptop is 20% lighter than its predecessor.

Still the 65W are too much for a laptop which means battery life suffers. Advanced functions like Dynamic Boost and Advanced Optimus of the NVIDIA graphics card only work with Intel processors.

But ultimately it’s a monster laptop that can be used from editing videos, 3D works to the most diverse creative solutions. Origin did not disclose the date of the debut or its price.
