Oppo Find X2 Pro

Oppo Find X2 Pro unveiled: New camera, 65W charging and 120Hz screen

No more no-notch display, support for 5G and a superfast charging

Oppo introduced the flagship Find X2 Pro, the first phone to use this designation since the original Find X model in 2018. But unlike that, this does not have the motorized selfie camera mechanics that helped it achieve a frameless screen.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

It is actually a phone that gives Oppo the right tools to compete with the best models of Samsung and Huawei. Find X2 Pro is available in black, orange or golden ceramics.

The screen has one of the best panels today on a phone, probably the best. 6.7-inch 3168 × 1440 pixel resolution OLED with curved edges, HDR10+, 120Hz being set face to face with the Galaxy S20.

But unlike Samsung’s smartphone, you can use 120Hz at full 1440p resolution. Underneath the screen is the optical fingerprint scanner and selfie camera cut. An unusual element of the screen is that Oppo has a dedicated image processing chip installed on it. It’s called the O1 Ultra Vision Engine and manages video content at 60 or 120fps and converts it to HDR.

The Find X2 Pro has a 48-megapixel rear camera but not the same Sony IMX586 sensor we saw last year on all flagships. Oppo has been working with Sony on a new IMX689 sensor. The sensor is larger and the pixels are at 1.12 microns but smaller than the 1.4 microns that have 12-megapixel sensors.

The company has also included a second generation telephoto snapper camera after the first one in the Reno 10x Zoom. The 13-megapixel module has f/3 aperture. It offers 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid and 60x digital zoom. Finally, the super wide-angle camera is the 48-megapixel IMX568 sensor.

The selfie camera is 32-megapixels. The specifications of the Find X2 Pro are: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, 5G, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of memory and stereo speakers. Comes with Android 10 operating system in the form of ColorOS 7.1. The 4,260 mAh battery has SuperVooc 2.0 fast charging technology. The phone costs 1,199 euros in Europe.

OPPO

OPPO Reno3, Reno3 Pro officially launched: Featuring 5G and Quad Rear Cameras

Oppo revealed Reno 2 just two months ago but that hasn’t stopped the company from launching its third phone series before the 2019 closing. The company has unveiled Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro, both of which come with 5G but have dual-mode chips, four antennas and software that together should ensure the battery life of an LTE phone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The algorithms will make sure you don’t use simple 5G to check an email even though there may be such coverage. This is what makes dual-mode chip technology possible.

You can also expect state-of-the-art display technology with 800-bit brightness, HDR10 and 180Hz refresh rate. The phones come with two Dolby Atmos speakers. The 4,025 mAh battery is charged at 50% for 20 minutes and 70% for half an hour.

Beyond these details, the others are not so suprising. For example, Reno 3 has MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000 processor, 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 32-megapixel selfie camera, 64-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel wide-angle.

Reno 3 Pro has a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz frequency display with a Snapdragon 765G processor and 32-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera is 48-megapixels followed by the other two, 13 and 2-megapixel telephoto and wide angle respectively.

Finally Oppo says it is the world’s thinnest 5G phone with only 7.7mm thickness. The price is about $485 for the 8 GB Reno3 Pro and goes up to about $640 for the 12 GB Reno3 Pro.

Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G

The world’s thinnest 5G phone comes from a not-so-familiar name

Oppo revealed a new phone, Reno3 Pro 5G which follows the tradition of super thin phones. At just 7.7mm thick, it may be the world’s thinnest 5G phone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

It also has a curved glass towards its sides and virtually no top and bottom frames.

Such a slim device hard to have a camera with pop-up mechanism but in the picture is not having one at all. However, the image is somewhat cropped at the top left where a “punch-hole” camera similar to the Galaxy S10 may be hidden.

The phone will be sold in Europe thanks to Oppo’s partnership with companies such as EE, Swisscom and others. There is no information on pricing and availability.

Oppo Reno Ace

Oppo’s new phone, Reno Ace can be Charged at 100% for 30 Minutes

Oppo revealed the latest phone of the now-diversified Reno line. It’s about Reno Ace, another flagship of this line.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The device is similar to the latest OnePlus 7T flagship phone. It has a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, a 20: 9 6.5-inch 1080p 90Hz frequency display, and a camera system built around the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor.

Reno Ace has a four monochrome sensor and comes with 12GB of RAM. But the unique feature of this phone lies neither in the cameras nor the 90Hz display but the fast charging technology.

Reno comes with a SuperVOOC 65W charger and charges the battery from 0% to 100% for 30 minutes according to Oppo. With just five minutes of charging, the battery life is increased by 2 hours, the company says. This is thanks to Oppo’s new SuperVOOC 2.0 technology, which increases the charging power to 65W and intelligently controls voltage and current to optimize battery life from 90 percent to 100 percent faster. Quick battery charging has been a staple of Oppo phones for years.

The company’s F9 smartphone, launched in 2016, had one of the fastest charging times, through technology that can charge a 2,800mAh battery from 0-100 percent in 15 minutes. But the Reno Ace has a much larger battery, with 4,000mAh capacity.

Reno Ace will debut in China for $420 for the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of memory and $530 for the model of 12GB of RAM and 256GB of memory.

Realme 5 and 5 Pro with four cameras, will be launched this month

Realme 5 and 5 Pro with four cameras, will be launched this month

For Realme, jumping on four cameras is happening, though initially it won’t bring the 64MP sensor.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

It appears that the company is taking a slow approach to updating the camera device on their phones, with the initial phase of adding four cameras, and in the second phase is upgrading the camera sensor to a 64MP unit.

According to one of the latest posts from the phone manufacturer on Twitter, August 20 is the day for the launch of the company’s first four-camera phone.

It will consist of a main camera, an ultra wide angle lens, a super macro camera and one for portraits.

If, however, you want to expect the four-camera phone based on the 64MP sensor, you have to make a difficult decision. You have to outbid the Realme 5 or 5 Pro and wait until October or more for the 64MP phone launch.

Oppo demonstrates the selfie camera under the screen

In recent years, the design of smartphones has been dominated by the debate as to how big the screen size would be and where critical components would be placed, which hamper the extension of the size of the phone screens without playing the size of the phone body itself.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

One option has been the integration of technologies such as fingerprint scanners or cameras and frontal sensors directly on the screen. Scanners and sensors were integrated and the remaining challenge was to integrate the cameras under the screen.

Oppo is one of the companies that has mostly experimented with the “notch” of screens and selfie cameras “pop-ups” and was the first company to demonstrate a camera under the screen a few weeks ago.

Now the company has decided to give more details on how this technology works. Oppo says the screen uses a translucent transparent material that works with a redesigned pixel structure so the light enters the camera.

The sensor itself is bigger than ordinary selfie cameras, increasing its aperture. The space reserved for the camera works by touch and Oppo says the screen quality is not affected.

The company faced another problem. Under-screen cameras had reduced image quality and problems such as haze, reflection, and color inaccuracy. For this Oppo has developed an algorithm that addresses these problems by bringing quality to the level of “every selfie camera on the market today.”

When will this phone arrive? Oppo says the plans to launch the device with a sub screen in “a near future.” Even in the past, the company demonstrated technology long before they were available.

The current flagship, Oppo Reno, with the zoom lens in the form of a snare is an example. However, the development and commercialization of this phone took more than a year.

Oppo Reno launched with a 5G model and a 10x optical zoom

Called Reno, the new series consists of three accessories – Reno 5G, Reno 10x Zoom and Reno. All three devices come in Ocean Green and Jet Black.

As the name suggests, the Reno 5G is the first 5G capacity phone designed and launched around the world by Oppo.

The phone promises to benefit from the next-generation super-speed when it starts to be used later this year.

While the three online variants boast a line without a frame along with an in-camera pop-up, only Reno 10x Zoom and 5G have rear 10x zoom cameras.

The camera system, which consists of a 48 megapixel primary camera, along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, uses the three cameras at once to squeeze as much detail as they can from any image.

Oppo has announced European prices at the Zurich launch event. Oppo Reno starts at €499, the Reno 10x Zoom costs €799 and the Reno 5G variant will cost €899.

Oppo Reno flagship with 10x optical zoom, side-swing pop-up selfie camera Launched

Oppo Reno flagship with 10x optical zoom, side-swing pop-up selfie camera Launched

Oppo introduced today the latest flagship, the Reno model. It’s the first device of really-high-end hardware from last year’s Find X model.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Comes with Snapdragon 855 processor, 48-megapixel camera and 10x optical zoom. And of course there is not a “notch”.

Reno has an unusual “pop-up” selfie camera that enables the screen without “notch”. When Find X had a slide mechanism for the selfie camera, Reno has the “pop-up” mechanism in place of it.

However, there is not enough room for 3D Face ID technology and instead, Reno has added the fingerprint scanner below the screen.

The smartphone comes in four colors and two versions: Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition.

The first has a 6.4-inch OLED screen, a Snapdragon 710 processor and a super-wide secondary camera, the second has a 6.6-inch screen, Snapdragon 855 and a 10x optical zoom with the third camera.

Both phones have NFC and VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

The standard Reno costs $450 for 6GB of RAM / 128GB of memory, $490 for 6GB of RAM / 256GB of memory and $540 for 8GB of RAM / 256GB of memory.

The 10x Zoom Edition costs $600 for 6GB of RAM / 128GB of memory, $670 for 6GB of RAM / 256GB of memory and $710 for 8GB of RAM / 256GB of memory.
