8 Super-Cool Things You Can Do with Your Smartphone

8 Super-Cool Things You Can Do with Your Smartphone

8 Super-Cool Things You Can Do with Your Smartphone

In the past, people had to buy TVs for entertainment, cameras for photography, and computers to access the Internet. Now, all that happens on smartphones. Smartphones have replaced countless devices by offering thousands of ingenious features. Some of the most ardent users aren’t even aware of all the cool things their smartphones can do.

Here are eight surprisingly cool things you can do with your smartphone –

Measure Height, Length, and Distance

People who want to redecorate their rooms or practice DIY maintenance can now use supercomputers for assistance. Modern-day smartphones are akin to supercomputers. They can even be used to measure heights, distances, or lengths in the real world. A top-quality smartphone camera can estimate the distance/height of an object.

Homeowners no longer need tape measures. They simply need to have the right smartphone and use the right apps. Point the camera at whatever you’re trying to measure, and the phone will give highly accurate results. Use the readings you collect from your smartphone to redecorate your house with precision.

See in the Dark

With smartphones, people can now have thermal vision. Many cameras allow people to see in the dark. Users simply need to buy high-resolution thermal cameras and attach them to their smartphones. Smartphones will display the detected heat signatures on the screen. People can use this feature while camping to scout and track wildlife.

Teach Deaf Children Sign Language

Smartphones are incredible educational tools. The smartphone brand Huawei proved this by helping deaf children learn how to read. The company launched a special AI-powered app called “Story Sign.” This app scanned countless children’s books and instantaneously translated them into sign language. Deaf illiteracy is an international issue.

With apps like Story Sign, deaf children have a better chance of learning more concepts from a very young age. For example, parents that don’t know sign language can use the app to share bedtime stories with their children. The Huawei p50 Pro has various other features that help parents teach their children more effectively.

Check Whether the Remote-Control Batteries are Dead

Despite the fact that we’re amazing at using advanced smartphones, most of us still struggle to use TV remote controls properly. The main problem? The remote controls run out of batteries all the time. Sometimes, these remote controls don’t even run out of batteries, and they still keep malfunctioning.

Users are forced to rush to the nearest supermarket whenever they suspect that their remote-control batteries are dead. Now, users can avoid this hassle by using their smartphone cameras. Capture the light coming from the tip of the remote control with the camera. If the light is red/pinkish, it means that the infrared signals are working properly.

That means the batteries do need replacing. If not, the remote-control batteries aren’t actually dead, and there must be some other problem with your remote control.

Control Your Smartphone Without Even Touching It

The latest gesture control apps allow users to use their smartphones without actually touching them. Users can kickstart music apps, answer calls, and complete several other functions without touching their smartphone screens. If you’re constantly worrying about getting dirt on your smartphone screens, use gesture control apps.

Drive Safely and Reach Destinations Quicker

There’s a critical difference between driving with the aid of a smartphone and driving without one. GPS technology allows us to know our exact locations all the time. Most drivers use the GPS technology in their smartphones to discover routes, find locations, and drive safely.

There are many apps that even inform drivers about their driving speed, traffic-related details, and other information. More impressively, these details are provided in real-time so drivers can make highly accurate decisions.

Boost Personal Safety

There are many apps that boost the safety of the users. Women can use emergency apps to send SOS signals to selected contacts whenever they feel unsafe. These apps also keep track of the users’ GPS locations. Hence, users feel much safer when they have access to smartphones and such safety-related apps.

Make Better Decisions

Lastly and most importantly, smartphones enable us to make better decisions. Be it selecting a restaurant or buying a new HVAC system – these devices give us instant access to important information. Use your smartphones to make better purchase decisions. Also, use them to do these eight super-cool things!

5 Benefits of Buying Wholesale Cell Phones

5 Benefits of Buying Wholesale Cell Phones

5 Benefits of Buying Wholesale Cell Phones

When cell phones were introduced first, they were costly. But over time, things changed, and mobile phones were no more a luxury only a few can afford. With the influx of wholesale markets, you can buy cell phones ranging from a modest model to pieces worth more than one thousand dollars. One can get their favored mobile device from a variety of platforms. But, there has been a trend recently to buy cell phones wholesale for various reasons.

What is drawing everyone towards wholesale cell phones? Read the article to know the five benefits of buying mobile phones in bulk.

1.Affordability And Trust

The biggest and the most important reason for buying cell phones wholesale is the affordability factor. As with any product purchased in bulk, you can be assured of getting a good discount. This means you will be able to get popular devices from major manufacturers such as Samsung and Apple for a fraction of the retail price. Without shelling out a significant chunk of your earnings, you can enjoy the latest mobile technologies offered by premium brands.

Another benefit is the reliability of the product purchased wholesale. Most wholesale suppliers have good grading of the cell phones they sell, which enables you to have trust in their services.

2.No Fixed Network

When buying a cellphone from your network provider, the device is often locked onto that network. As many people will already have a network contract they wish to continue, they would not be interested in buying a cell phone locked onto another network.

This is a significant drawback when trying to sell a cell phone to another person. But when buying wholesale cell phones, you can sell on the devices without the worry of being locked onto a particular network.

3.Boxed Like New

A big reason customers opt to buy new cell phones is the joy of unboxing a new mobile device. It is something cell phone manufacturers have tried to perfect over the years to make new sales.

But there is no reason you should not get the same joy when purchasing cell phones in bulk. Wholesale suppliers are also shipping their products boxed and ready to sell on. You can add necessary accessories within the box, just like a brand new mobile phone. You can also have the package branded and tailored to your needs.

4.Premium Quality Pre-used Devices

When buying wholesale cell phones, one factor that concerns them most is the devices’ quality and consistency. But most wholesale suppliers nowadays employ stringent grading systems to check the quality of the used products and make sure that each device meets the quality standards.

This ensures that the devices are in the right condition for use or resale. High-quality diagnostic tools are used for this purpose in addition to the human quality control measures.

5.Company-wide Compatibility

Another reason why companies are opting for wholesale mobile phones is the company-wide compatibility it offers. For official purposes, you may want your entire team to use the same carrier, hardware, and operating system.

For example, some apps built for Apple Store may not have an equivalent app available on Google Play Store. When trying to operate as a team, you would not want irritating communication or compatibility issues bogging your business down. By opting to buy cell phones in bulk, this issue can be resolved.

6.Hassle-free Purchasing

Technology has made purchasing a lot simpler and fast and finding a wholesale supplier for used or refurbished cell phones is quite an easy task these days. It means the business can focus on things that truly matter.

Most of the wholesale suppliers have straight forward return policy and some form of a money-back guarantee. So buyers can feel confident while purchasing wholesale cell phones and can get their product replaced in case of an issue.

7.Assistance from Dedicated Customer Support

Many companies find it challenging to implement new technologies related to configuring and setting up mobile devices. The process can be tedious and time-consuming. Hence, wholesale suppliers have dedicated IT and Customer support teams that offer customized solutions to those buying their products in bulk.

Whether it is about configuring the security settings to protect your company’s valuable data or assistance installing software, you have it all covered with support from specialized wholesale suppliers.

Cell phones have changed lives in many different ways and become an integral part of the business world. Whether buying cell phones for your personal use or business needs, you would like to get the best deal on high-quality cell phones. Buying wholesale cell phones assures you many benefits, as explained in this article.

Top Ways to Charge Your Smartphone More Quickly

Top Ways to Charge Your Smartphone More Quickly

Top Ways to Charge Your Smartphone More Quickly

In these days and age, more and more people wonder whether there is a way to charge their phones faster. Indeed, you can make every effort to conserve the battery but it can’t spare you the shock of realizing that your phone is going to die right at the moment you desperately need it. Luckily for all phone users including you, there are a few tried and true tips to make the world’s most popular mobile device charge more quickly. Read on to find out the top ways to do it really fast.

Opt For A Magnetic Charging Cable

Despite what you may think, magnetic alternatives to regular charging cables do not serve only to provide an easier connection with your mobile device, especially in dark spaces or when you are driving the car. A quality magnetic cable also facilitates impressive charging speeds, the rule of thumb is, the stronger the magnet, the merrier.

Look for models that support quick charging with overheating protection and, of course, those that are compatible with your smartphone or tablet. If you wonder what makes the best magnetic phone charger, click here to read a comprehensive guide on how to choose your perfect fit. By the way, magnetic cables are very durable and can withstand plenty of bending and teasing, as well as more than 10,000 plugs and unplugs.

Use Wall Charger Whenever Possible

Although using a USB port of your laptop seems a far more convenient way to charge your phone if you want to get the job done quickly, give preference to a wall charger whenever you can. The reason for such a piece of advice is that USB ports usually do not support charging speeds higher than 0.5 amps while the power adapter you’ve got with your phone does it twice as fast.

Well, you can also give a shot at popular nowadays special cables that allow for charging one device using the power of two different USB ports (such cables have one micro and two normal  USB connectors) but at the end of the day, a classic wall charger is still king.

Turn Your Smartphone Off

Let’s face it, turning your phone off may sound pretty frustrating but it will significantly shorten the charging time. If you think that you can survive without social media, calls, as well as all other thrills and chills brought by modern technologies, let’s say, for an hour or so, opt for turning off your device completely instead of just switching to Airplane mode.

Keep Your Smartphone Cool

This one is probably a no-brainer but you will be surprised to learn how many people do not bother to keep their phones away from direct sunlight even when charging. It can be especially dangerous if done inside a car that is more akin to a scorching desert. Well, charging your smartphone in the immediate proximity of various sources of heat is not a good idea whatsoever, hence make sure to find an appropriate cool place for your device.

Switch To Airplane Mode

Switching to Airplane mode can help charge your phone faster. It doesn’t matter that you are still sitting at your office desk without any intention to fly to some faraway exotic destination, switch your phone to Airplane mode to speed up the charging. Just a heads up, do it before connecting the charger to shut down all the applications that use cellular, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth services. It’s common knowledge, those apps “eat” power even when you do not use your smartphone. However, do not forget that in that mode you won’t be able to receive any calls, SMS, or other texts.

Invest In Fast Charger

If you still haven’t bought a fast charger, perhaps it’s time to do it, of course, if the model of your phone is compatible with one of those hi-tech wonders intended to charge mobile devices at lightning speed. You will notice that your quick charger tends to slow down somewhere around 75% of capacity – no worries, it is necessary to avoid overheating the phone that can damage the device.

Get A Portable Charger

Let’s face it, sometimes you just do not have access to a power outlet but it doesn’t mean you can’t charge your phone. Consider buying a portable charger to cover all eventual issues that may happen on the go, all the more so, today they are compact, light, and more than affordable.

A sleek design, excellent screen, and a capable camera but do they fill the biggest problem of this phone?

The Mate 40 Pro is Huawei’s latest super phone, which the company hopes to compete with the iPhone 12 Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy S20 and Note series. A phone with an attractive body, packed with the latest high technology and 5G. But while there are strong specifications on paper, it suffers from a major problem.

The Camera

The main sensor has been increased from 40MP to 50MP. It manages to shoot in 4K at 60 fps but also slow-motion clips at 1080p at 480 fps and 3,840 fps at 720p. YES, you read it well, as many frames per second as you can film even one bullet coming out of the pistol. The Cine camera has a 20MP sensor and an ultra-wide-angle and is the first camera on a smartphone to remove distortion features. The 125mm periscope returns to the other 12MP sensor and this time reaches up to 5x zoom unlike the 3x of the predecessor.

Unlike the standard version, the Pro reaches up to 10x optical zoom, for results we have to wait for testing.

The Screen

The 6.73″ OLED display is pretty much a jump from the 6.53″ of the Mate P30. The resolution has also been increased to 1,344 x 2,772px. And apparently, Huawei has decided to still be among the Android with side curved screen, even pretty curved, 88° arc. Do not be afraid, the physical buttons are still present. The refresh rate does not go more than 90Hz while the boxes are stereo and equipped with 3D sound.

The Battery

The battery has also received special treatment. The capacity remains 4,400mAh but the speed at which it is charged is quite higher. With a USB-C cable, it can reach up to 66W of charge. With wireless it reaches up to 50W, surprising!

The power chip is the Kirin 9000 and joins Apple in the 5nm architecture. Undoubtedly the 5G modem is present in both mmWave and sub6 infrastructures. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro will come to Europe with only an 8GB/256GB configuration with a memory card space. The bold $1,200 price tag will bring a range of colors.

Pro+ uses ceramic materials and reaches up to 12GB RAM. Huawei is here and does not intend to leave, this is definitely confirmed by the Porsche version present this time as well.

Huawei Mate 40 series prices

  • Huawei Mate 40: 899 euros
  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro: 1,199 euros
  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus: 1,399 euros
  • Porsche Design Mate 40 RS: 2,295 euros
  • Huawei FreeBuds Studio: 299 euros.

But is it worth it?

Due to the ongoing restrictions imposed by the US government, Huawei phones can not use any Google services, including Gmail, Maps and Chrome and, most importantly, the Google Play Store. While Huawei has its own app store (for which I will come later) it is nowhere to rival Google and makes this phone difficult to recommend to any of its rivals.

iPhone 12 Official

This is the iPhone 12 with which Apple hopes to replicate the success of the iPhone 11

iPhone 12 is finally among us: 4 models, a mini, a standard, a Pro, and a Pro Max version. New processor, 5G and LiDAR sensor

This year took longer than usual but the iPhone 12 is finally among us. Most of the rumors turned out to be correct, 4 models, a mini, a standard, a Pro, and Pro Max version. A new processor, 5G, and LiDAR sensor. The latest version of the Apple smartphone will also be available in several variants and sizes as the company adapts consumer behavior around mobile devices.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The inclusion of 5G does not constitute any news for consumers as a whole. Apple is not the first company to bring a 5G smartphone and according to statistics 13% of phones sold in the first half of 2020 had 5G technology.

The whole iPhone 12 line has undergone a redesign taking the layout elements from the iPad Pro.

iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12

First was introduced the iPhone 12, 6.1″11% thinner, 15% smaller, and 16% lighter and flat angles, distinctive of this generation. OLED screens are uniform on all fours and moreover will be protected by a special ceramic coating to guarantee 4 times more durability. Like the others, it will come with the latest A14 Bionic processor and the only smartphone with 5nm processing technology. This guarantees greater power but also efficiency in energy consumption. According to Apple, this processor is 50% faster than all the competition.

As was predicted the iPhone 12 has two rear cameras, a 12-megapixel main and a super-wide 12-megapixel taken from last year’s model. Night Mode has been upgraded to all models and added to the selfie camera.

Then was unveiled the iPhone 12 Mini which fortunately has almost the same power but comes in more modest dimensions with a 5.4 “screen. Features 5G and has the same specifications of the camera as the standard version. The dual set of which has received more investment on the software side.

Prices for the Mini will start at $699 while for the iPhone 12 start at $799.

The iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are the Max of what Apple can offer

The difference of course holds the Pro tag which from Pro Max differs only in dimensions. The Pro has a 6.1″ screen while the Pro Max 6.7″. The A14 Bionic is 5nm here too, but unlike the first two, it has additional capabilities for real-time processing of what the camera captures or shoots, an asset that will cost you hundreds of dollars more.

The three rear camera sensors have undergone changes mainly in the aperture to work better with low light. Contrary to expectations, the Pro and Pro Max will not have four lenses, as the LiDAR depth sensor is smaller and less noticeable. It will add pretty much advantages to light processing as well as how fast it hits objects. This sensor will contribute quite a bit to the plans the company has for the AR sector.

The new Pro models feature Retina XDR OLED screens, A14 Bionic processors, glass with ceramic cover, LiDAR scanners, and 5G technology which are the maximum that Apple can offer. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max goes on sale in three configurations: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, and four colors: graphite, silver, gold, and blue. The pandemic apparently also affected Apple, which this time decided to start offering the iPhone 12 Pro from $999 and the 12 Pro Max from $1099.

In the Pro Max model where the screen is bigger, Apple says it has packaged 3.5 million pixels. The back of these models is matte glass while the frame is made of steel. iPhone 12 Pro is water-resistant to a depth of 6 meters for 30 minutes thanks to IP68 certification. Another reason why people are willing to pay more with Pro models is the camera system. Orders for iPhone 12 Pro start on October 16th and sales on October 23rd. For iPhone 12 Pro Max orders start on November 6 and sales on November 13.

Processor and cameras

Thanks to the A14 Bionic processor, Apple brought a new “Apple ProRAW” format for professional photographers where the image retains editing capabilities. Specifically, users have more control over the colors, details, and dynamic range of the image on the iPhone.

The main sensor has a 7-element lens and f/1.6 aperture significantly increasing performance in low light. The ultra-wide-angle camera (ultrawide) has a field of view of 12 degrees, the telephoto a length of 52mm, and 4x optical zoom. The Phone 12 Pro Max has a 47% larger sensor improving the performance in low light by 87%. Also, the telephoto camera in this variant has a focal length of 65mm and 5x optical zoom.

Night Mode has also been extended to ultrawide cameras and Night Mode and Time-lapse modes promise more detail. Deep Fusion technology is faster. In video recording, the new models offer HDR video with Dolby Vision up to 60fps and optical stabilization. The innovation is the LiDAR scanner which has a role to play in augmented reality. In addition, this scanner can increase the autofocus performance in low light by 6 times. A novelty for the iPhone 12 is also MagSafe technology where users can charge the phone wirelessly or use magnetic accessories. Apple will sell a MagSafe charger, a silicone case, and a leather case. The MagSafe Duo charger is capable of charging iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously will debut in the coming weeks.

Innovation for this year

The smartphone has an OLED screen that Apple calls the Super Retina XDR doubling the number of pixels compared to the LCD screen that the iPhone 11 had last year.

All smartphones have the A14 Bionic chip. This time the chip has six processor cores and four graphics cores. Upon revealing this information the company took the opportunity to talk about the arrival of the League of Legends game on the iPhone.

With the iPhone 12, Apple decided to return to MagSafe, a magnetic system integrated into the back of the device through which accessories connect to the phone. These are mainly accessories such as wireless chargers and cases.

Lastly, regarding the packaging, Apple has decided to empty it, because with the purchase of the iPhone 12, you will no longer get Earpods wired headphones nor the charging adapter. Apple says it did it to protect the environment.

Prices and availability

The new phone starts at $799, $100 more than the iPhone 12 mini also introduced at this event. The 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max models start at $999 and $1,099 respectively. The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro can be ordered from October 16th while arriving in stores on October 23rd. Pro Max and Mini version on 13 November.

The 6-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels (432 ppi) of Pixel 5 will be full HD+ and will have a modest refresh rate of 90Hz. RAM up to 8GB, 128 GB of storage, 4080mAh battery with 18W USB-C fast charging, and against what was thought will support both sub-6Ghz but also mmWave 5G. As expected, the fingerprint sensor will be on the back of the device.

Like the Pixel 5, the Pixel 4a has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. The Pxiel 4a 5G battery has been upgraded compared to 4a and comes with an output of 3,885 mAh.

A wide-angle camera

The strong point will always remain the camera which despite having only two sensors one 12MP with 77 degrees of field of view and another 16MP with 107 degrees its software will lift the most weight. Thus, new AI-powered options are Portrait Light, Cinematic Pan, and three new video stabilization modes. The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor and offers portrait mode but also Night Mode.

The camera should be able to record full HD video at 240 fps and 4K video at 60 fps. With improved timing and slow motion as well as image stabilization, better video quality should be achieved.

With the new models Google will address a major user concern, battery life. The new Extreme Battery Saver mode will increase battery life by up to 48 hours leaving only vital applications running. This mode will also be offered for older Pixel models.

A cheap price

The Pixel 4a 5G will cost $499, the Pixel 5 will be cheaper than its predecessor and should only cost $699. The Pixel 4a 5G should be available from October 15 in Japan and from November in 8 other countries. The Pixel 5 will also launch on October 15, at least in the US.

All three smartphones are similar in design, but the main difference and what it really should be is in their performance. The 10T and 10T Pro have a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels and HDR10+ and a crazy 144Hz refresh rate. Such a frequency is available from a high-end gaming monitor and gaming smartphone. While the Lite version comes with a more “modest” scale of 120Hz.

It is somewhat unusual that Xiaomi relies on an LCD screen for all its Mi-10T devices and leaves out an AMOLED screen. For this reason, the fingerprint sensor is not integrated into the screen.

The first two devices use a powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC 5G processor and 8GB RAM. Lite has the latest Snapdragon 750G SoC mid-range processor and only 6GB of RAM. The battery of all three is the same, 5000mAh where Lite has a very small difference. Standard charging for all 33W. Wireless charging should also work, but Xiaomi does not provide information about charging power. In the box is also included a 33W USB-C charger.

The camera department is what makes the difference.

The Mi 10T Lite has a set of 4 cameras 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. The Mi 10T has only three, 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP macro.

The magic is certainly saved for the superior Mi 10T Pro with a 108MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, another 13MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP macro lens. With this camera configuration, 8K videos can be recorded at 30 fps. The selfie camera is hidden in a small camera hole in the screen and has 20 MP.

Depending on the selection, prices start at €279 for the Lite, €499 for the Mi 10T, and €599 for the cheaper version of the Mi 10T Pro.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition

Samsung brings what we asked. This is the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition

The S20 Fan Edition is a bridge between the mid-range and the flagship segment

OnePlus has established itself as one of the leading players in the budget smartphone market. Samsung had made the phones quite expensive and lowering their price was not a proper option. So they decided another strategy and this is probably the clearest indication that Samsung is still in competition with the OnePlus.

Long rumored, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is officially announced, and as the name implies, it comes especially for the love of the most ardent fans. Said without romanticism, the FE is a pack of the best options from the Galaxy S20, and through some compromises, comes at a more affordable price for anyone.

The 6.5-inch AMOLED display has a refresh rate of 120Hz but the resolution is limited to Full HD. It also comes with 128GB of internal memory but you can expand it via SD cards up to 1TB. It has the same Snapdragon 865 chip as the S20 flagships, but only 6GB of RAM instead of 12GB. The 4,500 mAh Fast Charge 2.0 battery and IP68 dust and water protection should offer pretty good performance.

Even the rear camera is what you get from a $1,000 Samsung smartphone. The Fan Edition (FE) has a standard 12-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, dual-pixel autofocus, optical image stabilization. The main sensor is accompanied by a super wide-angle 12-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 30x hybrid as well as a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It certainly does not offer the luxury of the original S20, but the hardware looks quite good, moreover, AI and dedicated software should bring competition results.

The display panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 but the back of the Galaxy S20 FE is made of a tough plastic material that has a matte finish to prevent fingerprints and stains. And to offer more style among S20 FE fans it comes in Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White.

The phone will include both 5G variants, sub-6Ghz, and mmWave 28Ghz priced at $700 and $750 respectively and also has an exclusive Verizon variant that works on the carrier’s 5G Ultra Wideband network.. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be available from October 2 at Samsung.com and at retail stores. Orders can be registered now.

Samsung Fan Edition phones are designed to eliminate the gap between the flagship’s Galaxy S and Note and the mid-range Galaxy A. Samsung has recently suffered with sales and now the Galaxy A51 has managed to enter the list of 10 best-selling smartphones in the first half of 2020. On the other hand, the Apple iPhone 11 has sold like crazy and is the smartphone of the year.
