MatePad Pro 5G Tablet

Huawei Unveiled MatePad Pro 5G Tablet with 5G and Wireless Charging

The MatePad Pro 5G even has an optional stylus and keyboard cover

Huawei’s newest tablet, the MatePad Pro 5G, is a 5G version of the 10.8-inch tablet introduced last year for the Chinese market. Combined with the M-Pencil stylus keyboard and pen, the tablet can be compared to the iPad Pro though it has some unique features.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

One of them is two-way wiring charging, the ability to connect the smartphone screen to the tablet, and 5G connectivity. The tablet comes with Android open-source and without Google apps and services. Huawei says the MatePad Pro is the world’s first wireless technology tablet.

Tablet charging is done with 27W and reverse charging with 7.5W via wireless technology. This tablet can also be used to charge the keyboard case, headset or smartphone. But it can only charge one device at a time. Compared to the iPad Pro, the screen frames on the MatePad Pro 5G are much thinner and Huawei says the screen covers 90% of the tablet’s body.

The screen has a resolution of 2,560 × 1600 with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Inside is a Kirin 990 processor and 7,250 mAh battery. Like the iPad Pro, the MatePad Pro can charge the stylus pen by attaching on it. With just 30 seconds of charging we get 10 minutes of battery life.

The 5G tablet goes for €799 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory. The most expensive goes for €949 for 8GB of RAM and 512GB of memory.

Huawei revealed its premium tablet – MatePad Pro

We’ve already seen solutions for punch-hole cameras only on phones, and Huawei has now decided to implement this design on its newest MatePad Pro tablet. In question is the premium segment tablet, which has the features to compete in the market with iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 models, reports GSMArena.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

MatePad Pro has a 10.8-inch AMOLED panel with 2560x1600p resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. Huawei points out that the frames are only 4.9 millimeters thin, which contributes to providing a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The camera has an 8MP selfie sensor. Also present is the four-speaker system.

The tablet works with the Kirin 990 chipset, in combination with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. The device will be available in Wi-Fi and LTE variants. On the back is a 13 MP camera.

When it comes to software support, Android 10 is available with the EMUI 10 Interface. MatePad Pro also has a laptop mode, which enables the traditional PC interface and multi-window functionality.

The battery has a capacity of 7250mAh and supports 40W Huawei SuperCharge, 15W wireless charging and 7.5W reverse charging. The M-Pen stylus is also provided for more precise interaction and drawing.

Huawei MatePad Pro tablet will be available in white, black, green and orange, starting at around $470 for the 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi model, while the LTE variants will cost around $ 40 for 6GB/128GB and about $640 for the 8GB/256GB model. The tablet will launch on December 12, and there is currently no information on global availability.

The next Huawei tablet is identical to the iPad Pro

The first photos of the upcoming Huawei tablet have been published online and their peculiarity is that the tablet looks very much like an iPad Pro but with a “hole-punch” selfie camera.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

The tablet reportedly could be the successor to MediaPad M6 and could be called MediaPad M7 based on the company’s naming scheme.

Industry serial insider Evan Blass posted a photo of the tablet as well, but said it would be called the MatePad Pro. Huawei laptops are called MateBooks and as a result the name suggested by Blass is not impossible.

However labeled, the tablet will have a minimal frame display and offer support for the M-Pen stylus and a magnetic keyboard.

The photos also show that the tablet will be available in two colors, black and white as well as a USB-C port with stereo speakers on both sides. It is not known if the tablet will have a 3.5mm headphone port.

The 7th generation iPad has a larger screen than its predecessor and the Apple Pencil

The 7th generation iPad has a larger screen than its predecessor and the Apple Pencil

On the day of the introduction of the iPhone, Apple had unveiled a new product: an iPad.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Apple’s new tablet has a 10.2-inch screen and will replace the 9.7-inch model, a long-speculated move. The tablet costs $329, but for educational institutions it will sell for $299, Apple said.

The 7th generation iPad comes with the Smart Keyboard and the first generation Apple Pencil pen. But unlike the iPhone that had Apple’s latest processor, it only has the A10 Fusion, a less powerful processor than the A10X Fusion found in the second-generation iPad Pro.

It’s still much more powerful than a low-end tablet. Apple also said this is the first tablet to consist of 100% recycled aluminum.

From the activity we did not learn much about the connectors the tablet has which stores the design of a thick frame. IPad buyers will be stuck with the Lightining connector for a good reason because the first-generation Apple Pencil pen needs the port in question to be charged.

Apple says the tablet weighs 483 grams and the Wi-Fi model starts with 32GB of memory. With 128GB of memory it costs $100 more. The tablet has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera.

Galaxy Tab S6

Galaxy Tab S6 is Samsung’s next attempt to challenge the iPad

The newest competitor of Apple iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface Pro comes with a stylus pen included in the package and an optional keyboard.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The tablet goes on sale September 6 for $649 for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory. The version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory will cost $720.

Samsung says it will sell an LTE model by the end of the year. Currently the Tab S6 stands at the top of the line of Samsung tablets including the low-end Galaxy Tab A and high-end Tab S5e.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_5″]

It has a 16:10 10.5-inch OLED display with a 2560 × 1600 resolution, much like the Tab S4 but Samsung has reduced the screen frame. The latter features a fingerprint scanner.

Samsung has also reduced the tablet’s thickness to just 5.7mm and weighs 420 grams. On its sides are four speakers, two in each. The Tab S6 has a Snapdragon 855 processor and a 7,040 mAh battery for 15 hours of usage.

At the back of the tablet is a dual camera with a standard lens and a 123-degree wide-angle lens. Also on the back is a magnetic boost which makes the stylus pencil stick to the tablet.

This pencil has features similar to that of the Galaxy Note 9 such as activating the button camera or sliding a PowerPoint document. Samsung has redesigned the keyboard to include a smaller trackpad. It costs $179. In terms of software the Tab S6 comes with Android 9 Pie and version 1.5 of the Samsung One UI interface.

In size and functionality, the Tab S6 is more of an iPad Air competitor than the expensive iPad Pro model. But Air costs much less but it has a more developed operating system and application ecosystem than the Tab S6.

As for the Samsung solution, it’s hard to hear anyone today choosing a Samsung tablet as opposed to an Apple option. Maybe with Microsoft Surface there might have a chance.

Samsung to skip Galaxy Tab S5, will launch Galaxy Tab S6

Samsung to skip Galaxy Tab S5, will launch Galaxy Tab S6

Multiple sources report that Samsung is likely to skip the Galaxy Tab S5 and instead launch the Galaxy Tab S6 as a side-by side tablet product.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Before the MWC 2019, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Tab S5e, but it looks like the non “e” version will be the Galaxy Tab S6.

The tablet is said to feature a 10.5-inch display and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It also will offers 128GB and 256GB storage options and features a magnetic back-up charger, and the S-Pen stylus can have similar Bluetooth capabilities to that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

The images you see above suggest dual rear camera configurations, WiFi and LTE models, and color options Gray, Blue and Brown.

Regarding an official launch, this may occur in the ‘Unpacked’ event of Note 10 on August 7, or later on IFA 2019.
