Vivo X50

The Vivo X50 Pro becomes the first smartphone with a “gimbal” camera system

Smartphone cameras have advanced a lot lately, while manufacturers are managing to further adapt them in the most innovative ways

Chinese manufacturer Vivo, known for its photo-oriented phones, has launched the new phone in the X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ versions. In the last two versions, the “gimbal” camera system has been applied, which has never been used before on any smartphone.

Initially, the gimbal is called a mechanism, usually composed of rings directed at right angles, to hold the instrument like a compass or chronometer horizontally when it is on a moving ship or aircraft.

Placing the camera in a gimbal enables it to take the best shots, although it is experiencing considerable vibration. The Gimbal Camera System is a small gimbal module that moves the camera in opposite directions of vibrational movements, providing clearer images. This system expands the angle of rotation as well as the anti-oscillation zone, compared to other stabilization methods.

Free or Paid Payroll Software Tool - Which One to Choose?,

Free or Paid Payroll Software Tool – Which One to Choose?

Free or Paid Payroll Software Tool – Which One to Choose?

A company, whether big or small, can’t function without proper management. And the use of payroll software programs can help a great deal in managing this important function. However, many start-ups struggle to find the right payroll software that fulfills their needs and is easy on the budget as well.

The selection process becomes even more complicated because of the wide range of payroll software programs available. Some of them square measure free, whereas others square measure paid. Some companies are more tempted to use free tools as it allows them to save money. But, do these tools really help in cutting down costs. Find out everything here as we have discussed the pros and cons of both free and paid payroll software solutions:

Pros and Cons of Free Payroll Software

Pros

No Cost, Only Benefits

There’s no cost associated with using a free payroll program; hence, it’s called ‘free’. These programs are easy to find and run seamlessly. The best part, however, remains the same that you won’t have to spend a dime to obtain their benefits.

Easy to Use

Most free payroll software programs feature simple designs as they come from any complex feature. This makes them rather straightforward to use

Cons

Limited Functionality

The biggest flaw of free payroll software programs is that they come with limited functionality. For example, some programs can only be used for a limited number of employees. So, if you’re expanding your business and hiring more employees, you will have to switch to their paid version.

Trial Versions

There are many free payroll software programs, but most of them are actually trial versions of paid programs. So, you can only use these programs for free for a limited period of time. And then, you’ll have to inevitably purchase their subscription. In a hindsight, it’s a good idea as you get accustomed to their features and functionality. However, at the same time, it can burn a hole in your pockets in the latter stages.

Bugs

Free tools are properly tested. Therefore, there are high chances of these programs having bugs and errors.

Pros and Cons of Paid Payroll Software

Pros

Paid Payroll

Advanced Features

One of the biggest perks of paid payroll software for accountants is that they come with advanced features. Quite often, these tools offer more than one functionality, which makes them beneficial for companies. For example, if you’re using Netchex, one of the best payroll software in 2021, you won’t have to use any other reporting and management software as it takes care of everything. And you don’t have to remember different login credentials since every feature is available on the main dashboard.

Bug-Free

Paid software are usually bug-free. Basically, most software development agencies have in-house testing and quality assurance teams that determine the tool is free from bugs and errors before it is made available for users. However, in case you have encountered an error or bug that prevents you from doing your job, you can bring it to the notice of the developer, and they take care of it immediately.

Customer Support Services

Another pro of using paid software is that they usually come with customer support services. So, if you’re stuck somewhere, finding it tough to use a particular feature or having troubles using the tool, you can get in touch with the customer support representative and your query will be resolved.

Cons

Monthly/Annual Subscription

All good things come at a cost, and the same is the case with paid tools. You will have to pay a monthly or annual fee to use them.

Different Packages to Choose From

Many payroll software companies offer different payment plans to choose from. Selecting the right one can be quite overwhelming at times. You may end up buying an expensive package that contains features that aren’t useful for your business.

Final Thoughts

Based on the comparative analysis, it’s safe to say that paid payroll software programs are certainly better than free ones. Of course, you have to pay for them, but the amount is worth it because of the benefits they offer.

Top Ways to Charge Your Smartphone More Quickly

Top Ways to Charge Your Smartphone More Quickly

Top Ways to Charge Your Smartphone More Quickly

In these days and age, more and more people wonder whether there is a way to charge their phones faster. Indeed, you can make every effort to conserve the battery but it can’t spare you the shock of realizing that your phone is going to die right at the moment you desperately need it. Luckily for all phone users including you, there are a few tried and true tips to make the world’s most popular mobile device charge more quickly. Read on to find out the top ways to do it really fast.

Opt For A Magnetic Charging Cable

Despite what you may think, magnetic alternatives to regular charging cables do not serve only to provide an easier connection with your mobile device, especially in dark spaces or when you are driving the car. A quality magnetic cable also facilitates impressive charging speeds, the rule of thumb is, the stronger the magnet, the merrier.

Look for models that support quick charging with overheating protection and, of course, those that are compatible with your smartphone or tablet. If you wonder what makes the best magnetic phone charger, click here to read a comprehensive guide on how to choose your perfect fit. By the way, magnetic cables are very durable and can withstand plenty of bending and teasing, as well as more than 10,000 plugs and unplugs.

Use Wall Charger Whenever Possible

Although using a USB port of your laptop seems a far more convenient way to charge your phone if you want to get the job done quickly, give preference to a wall charger whenever you can. The reason for such a piece of advice is that USB ports usually do not support charging speeds higher than 0.5 amps while the power adapter you’ve got with your phone does it twice as fast.

Well, you can also give a shot at popular nowadays special cables that allow for charging one device using the power of two different USB ports (such cables have one micro and two normal  USB connectors) but at the end of the day, a classic wall charger is still king.

Turn Your Smartphone Off

Let’s face it, turning your phone off may sound pretty frustrating but it will significantly shorten the charging time. If you think that you can survive without social media, calls, as well as all other thrills and chills brought by modern technologies, let’s say, for an hour or so, opt for turning off your device completely instead of just switching to Airplane mode.

Keep Your Smartphone Cool

This one is probably a no-brainer but you will be surprised to learn how many people do not bother to keep their phones away from direct sunlight even when charging. It can be especially dangerous if done inside a car that is more akin to a scorching desert. Well, charging your smartphone in the immediate proximity of various sources of heat is not a good idea whatsoever, hence make sure to find an appropriate cool place for your device.

Switch To Airplane Mode

Switching to Airplane mode can help charge your phone faster. It doesn’t matter that you are still sitting at your office desk without any intention to fly to some faraway exotic destination, switch your phone to Airplane mode to speed up the charging. Just a heads up, do it before connecting the charger to shut down all the applications that use cellular, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth services. It’s common knowledge, those apps “eat” power even when you do not use your smartphone. However, do not forget that in that mode you won’t be able to receive any calls, SMS, or other texts.

Invest In Fast Charger

If you still haven’t bought a fast charger, perhaps it’s time to do it, of course, if the model of your phone is compatible with one of those hi-tech wonders intended to charge mobile devices at lightning speed. You will notice that your quick charger tends to slow down somewhere around 75% of capacity – no worries, it is necessary to avoid overheating the phone that can damage the device.

Get A Portable Charger

Let’s face it, sometimes you just do not have access to a power outlet but it doesn’t mean you can’t charge your phone. Consider buying a portable charger to cover all eventual issues that may happen on the go, all the more so, today they are compact, light, and more than affordable.

CONTROLLING TEMPERATURES WITH A TOUCH: RENTING CLIMATE-CONTROL DEVICES

Buying furniture is becoming less and less feasible for many people, which is why furniture rental places are such a hit. Renting furniture is much easier than buying them, especially for people who move around a lot. Renting furniture also offers more flexibility, people can rent some furniture of their preference and change it later. Renting furniture cuts costs as well; maintaining and repairing them is not a concern anymore.

Seeing the appreciation of the masses for furniture rentals, they expanded their range to other household devices. Today, AC rentals, TV rentals, stereo rentals, are also available for people to use in their houses. Other than residential uses, rentals also have a wide range of electronics for renting for commercial purposes. These chillers come in many sizes, and the rental places also have their complementary air handlers, pumps, and the heat exchangers that complete the chiller package. These chillers are the perfect cold storage solutions for any type of food, medical or other items that require storage at low temperatures.

These chillers are flexible and can accommodate any pre-existing plumbing network in the building. They are effortless to install and come in ready-to-use packages. Useful Photoshop Shortcuts You Need to Know About

Useful Photoshop Shortcuts You Need to Know About

Adobe Photoshop is a versatile tool that is used by millions of people worldwide. From editing photos to designing website interfaces, this tool is extremely useful. If you are a photographer or a graphic designer, you should definitely know your way around this software program. By editing your photos in Photoshop, you can achieve impeccable results and revamp your portfolio. Since every photographer is expected to master at least one editing tool, why not set your hand at this highly coveted program? Photoshop has a lot of shortcuts that can be used to save time and achieve faster results. On that note, here are some of the most useful shortcuts that will make your designing and photo editing projects easier.

  • Marquee Tool

If you need to select a specific shape on your image layer, the Marquee tool can easily select the retained shape area. For both Windows and Mac, select the shortcut M. This will enable the Rectangular Marquee tool. To select the Elliptical shape, press Shift+M. Upon using the Elliptical shape, press Shift and drag the tool to make a perfect circle.

  • New Layer

In Photoshop, every new design and editing work is based in layers as it makes your workflow smoother. If you need to change a particular part of the artwork or photograph, working in layers lets you make the change only in the specific areas, thereby saving your time and energy. For Windows, use Shift+Ctrl+N, and for Mac, use Shift+Cmd+N.

  • Quick Mask

If you need to make any local adjustments within the image layer while keeping the rest of the image intact, use the Quick Mask option. To use this function, press the Q key after selecting the area in question. You will notice a red translucent mask formed in the unselected area. Press B, which is the shortcut key for the Brush Tool, and make changes as needed. Apply white color to delete the mask or apply black color to add a mask to the selected area.

  • Lasso Tool

If you need to select a random (undefined) shape on your image layer, the Lasso Tool can help. Press L on the keyboard to activate this function. To switch between the Polygonal Lasso Tool and Magnetic Lasso Tool, press Shift+L on both Windows and Mac. The Magnetic option lets you select specific magnetic points and edges over the image layer, and the Polygonal option lets you select an area by clicking and placing points over the edges of the desired shape. Press the Alt/Opt key to form straight lines.

  • Duplicate Layer

For every photo editing project, duplicating the image or making a copy of your current (image) layer is highly recommended. If you need to deselect certain elements, the expert editors at parkerphotographic.com/how-to-deselect-in-photoshop-step-by-step/ recommend working on the duplicated layer instead of the original as you can easily revert to the first image in case you make a mistake. If the copied layer is no longer needed, you can simply delete it. For Windows, use Ctrl+J, and for Mac, use Cmd+J.

  • Crop

This is the easiest and most effective command among all. Once you select an image layer, press the C key to activate the Crop function. The grid formation allows you to move your mouse and crop the image as required. You can also access the Straighten Tool from the panel.

  • Move

To move a selected area from one place to another within the same image layer or in your workspace, press the M key. The selected areas can be dragged or moved using the keyboard arrows or the mouse.

  • Deselect a Layer

Before using the shortcut command to deselect a selected layer or part of any layer, the active lines of the selection should be visible. For Windows, use Ctrl+D, and for Mac, use Cmd+D.

  • Clone Stamp Tool

This is another useful retouching app that most photographers often use. The Clone Stamp Tool copies a specific area of the image on the layer (the area copied is equivalent to the clone stamp size) and pastes it at your preferred points. To access this tool, press the S key. To increase or decrease the size of the stamp brush, press ] or [ respectively. When clicking on the area to be copied, press Alt/Opt. Click on the area where you wish to paste your copied selection.

If you are a beginner who is still trying to find your way around Photoshop, you can use these shortcuts to save time and improve your skills. If you are confused about whether or not you should learn this design and editing software, we highly recommend that you do. This versatile software will make your tasks easier and help improve your design and photo editing skills tremendously.

AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPUs

New AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series Graphics Cards are Here To Fight Nvidia RTX 3000 Series

AMD is causing troubles in quiet waters

As it has done in recent years with Ryzen processors, AMD seems to want to stir the waters in the graphics cards field as well. Specifically, faithful to its appointment, the company unveiled its new proposals for the Radeon RX 6000 series, which will surely increase competition in the industry.

The new models are based on the RDNA 2 architecture, which offers a giant step in performance during the first generation. More specifically, we have a 54% increase in efficiency per watt compared to RDNA architecture. In fact, according to AMD, RNDA 2 cards offer almost twice the performance in 4K compared to similar models of previous architecture.

The spearhead in AMD’s lineup is the Radeon RX 6800 XT, which practically comes face to face with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, which it even beats in some cases while using fewer watts. The card is equipped with 72 computing units and 16 GB of memory. The basic kernel clock reaches 2015MHz and the boost clock reaches 2250MHz.

However, AMD does not stop there. The ‘reds’ also have a letter that beats the RTX 3090. We are talking about the Radeon RX 6900 XT, the most powerful card of AMD’s new lineup. Consuming only 300 watts, AMD proposes the RTX 3090 in various uses. In total, it is equipped with 16 GB of memory and 128 MB of “infinity cache”. Its core clock time reaches 2015MHz and the boost clock reaches 2250MHz.

Back to pricing now, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT will debut on November 18 with a price tag of up to $650. Its smaller sister, the RX 6800, will cost $580 and hit the market the same day. Lastly, the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is expected on December 8 for $1,000.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro revealed: 50MP camera and 90Hz screen

A sleek design, excellent screen, and a capable camera but do they fill the biggest problem of this phone?

You could say that Huawei is towards the end, but their latest smartphone says a totally different thing. Bigger screen, better resolution, faster charging, and of course an unrivaled camera from anyone on the market.

The Mate 40 Pro is Huawei’s latest super phone, which the company hopes to compete with the iPhone 12 Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy S20 and Note series. A phone with an attractive body, packed with the latest high technology and 5G. But while there are strong specifications on paper, it suffers from a major problem.

The Camera

The main sensor has been increased from 40MP to 50MP. It manages to shoot in 4K at 60 fps but also slow-motion clips at 1080p at 480 fps and 3,840 fps at 720p. YES, you read it well, as many frames per second as you can film even one bullet coming out of the pistol. The Cine camera has a 20MP sensor and an ultra-wide-angle and is the first camera on a smartphone to remove distortion features. The 125mm periscope returns to the other 12MP sensor and this time reaches up to 5x zoom unlike the 3x of the predecessor.

Unlike the standard version, the Pro reaches up to 10x optical zoom, for results we have to wait for testing.

The Screen

The 6.73″ OLED display is pretty much a jump from the 6.53″ of the Mate P30. The resolution has also been increased to 1,344 x 2,772px. And apparently, Huawei has decided to still be among the Android with side curved screen, even pretty curved, 88° arc. Do not be afraid, the physical buttons are still present. The refresh rate does not go more than 90Hz while the boxes are stereo and equipped with 3D sound.

The Battery

The battery has also received special treatment. The capacity remains 4,400mAh but the speed at which it is charged is quite higher. With a USB-C cable, it can reach up to 66W of charge. With wireless it reaches up to 50W, surprising!

The power chip is the Kirin 9000 and joins Apple in the 5nm architecture. Undoubtedly the 5G modem is present in both mmWave and sub6 infrastructures. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro will come to Europe with only an 8GB/256GB configuration with a memory card space. The bold $1,200 price tag will bring a range of colors.

Pro+ uses ceramic materials and reaches up to 12GB RAM. Huawei is here and does not intend to leave, this is definitely confirmed by the Porsche version present this time as well.

Huawei Mate 40 series prices

  • Huawei Mate 40: 899 euros
  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro: 1,199 euros
  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus: 1,399 euros
  • Porsche Design Mate 40 RS: 2,295 euros
  • Huawei FreeBuds Studio: 299 euros.

But is it worth it?

Due to the ongoing restrictions imposed by the US government, Huawei phones can not use any Google services, including Gmail, Maps and Chrome and, most importantly, the Google Play Store. While Huawei has its own app store (for which I will come later) it is nowhere to rival Google and makes this phone difficult to recommend to any of its rivals.
