Windows 10 has a bad surprise for millions of users

Windows 10 continues to be a danger zone. Not only have the problem been stacked in recent weeks, but Microsoft has begun to question even the most important operating system services.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

The company has already warned millions of users for another problem. Microsoft said millions of Windows 10 users who have installed the latest KB4501375 update can unleash out of function the “Remote Access Connection Manager (RASMAN) function.”

How unheard of it may be for you, in fact this function can cause serious consequences. The main one is VPN. RASMAN manages the way Windows 10 connects to the Internet and is a key feature for VPN services to function normally.

Because using VPN but increasing day by day from online privacy to accessing Netflix and YouTube libraries, the function has the potential to influence how you use your computer.

Microsoft says only users of the Windows 10 version 1903 are affected, which is the latest version of the platform. This version has been installed by 50 million users despite 800 million users running the operating system.

Microsoft has released a solution but complex as it does not have a fixed date when an update will fix this problem.

The big upcoming update on Windows 10 will be in reality very small

During a year, Microsoft sends two major updates to Windows 10 and has been doing so since 2017, and has now confirmed that the second update for 2019, 19H2, will only bring performance improvements, enterprise capabilities, and quality improvements.

The good news is that installing this update will be as if they were the monthly updates that Microsoft sends. As a result, they are not expected to cause any disruption to the user’s agenda during installation.

The beta testers in the Windows 10 Insider program on the “Slow Ring” will receive today’s first 19H2 experimental versions without any visual changes. The update should be finalized by September and provided to all users.

It remains to be seen whether this update will bring the future of “fast updates” promised by Microsoft.

Microsoft warns 800 million Windows 10 users

Windows 10 problems are not over. The platform has been hit by numerous issues in recent weeks and Microsoft‘s partners have made the situation even worse.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

But another warning from Microsoft comes to Windows 10. Microsoft warned 800 million Windows 10 users that a serious and enduring problem was on a platform that is not known if we can consider it a problem.

Microsoft said it has silently shut down Windows registry backups in Windows 10 eight months ago. Creating registry backups is one of the most important protection processes for many businesses and users. If the Windows Backup System fails when windows has failed, the backup of the registry is all that remains.

From Windows 10 version 1803, the operating system does not save the backup of the registry to the RegBack folder.

Windows 10 1803 debuted in October and despite the fact that this “problem” was dealt with in the Feedback Center, only today the company is open to what has happened. Ironically because Microsoft two months ago said Windows 10 users would have more “control, quality, and transparency.”

According to the company it has been made to shrink the space occupied by Windows on the disk. And how much space does a backup of the registry? Between 50 to 100MB.

In recent months, Microsoft has intensified its efforts to relocate hundreds of millions of Windows 7 users to Windows 10. Such actions have to hinder Microsoft’s mission.

The first Windows 10 update for 2019 arrives: What are the news?

The first Windows 10 update for 2019 arrives: What are the news?

Technically it’s the end of May. So it’s no surprise that Microsoft will begin launching the Major May Update, the 1903 update.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

From today, mainstream consumers and business users who want to download and install the update manually can do it from May 21st.

Updating brings some new features. Microsoft gives users more control over their own updates.

Users can stop updating for 35 days in a row. And thanks to a new “Download and Install Now” option, users will not be forced to update automatically.

Those who do not select this option will post install updates until their Windows 10 copy expires.

This is done in order to improve successful installations of upgrades on limited computers by allocating 7GB of space specifically for this purpose.

May update features a feature called Windows Sandbox where Pro, Enterprise, and Education users can open potentially dangerous applications in isolation.

Also a white theme of the operating system is added. Pre-Installed applications installed can be removed. The Start menu has become simpler.

Virtual Assistant Cortana is detached from the search function that Microsoft has completely remodeled.

Microsoft said at the beginning of April that the company would change the way it sends such major updates to improve their quality and avoid catastrophe like that of October. The company will now send these updates for a longer period of time.

Company officials said business customers could start up installations at the end of May. Today is the 21st of May. It’s the date Microsoft will start counting down the 18-month period of service for Windows 10 1903.

Microsoft has also not provided details when 19H2 / Fall 2019 updates will begin shipping. Usually insiders should have access to them right now.

The beginning of the end for the 10 year operating system Windows 7

The beginning of the end for the 10 year operating system Windows 7

While in February, there was an increase in the Windows market share, Netmarketshare data for March show the opposite.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Last year Windows 10 overtakes Windows 7 to become the most widely used operating system. In December Netmarketshare accounted for 39.22% of the market by Windows 10 and 36.9% of the market from Windows 7.

In January shortly after Windows 10 began to grow, Microsoft announced that it would no longer offer support for Windows 7 after January 14, 2020. This means there will be no free security updates but some users can pay if they want support.

After the news that Windows 7 would be left to the pity, the operating system grew to 38.41% in the market in February but did not last.

Recent records say Windows 10 has gone up to 43.62% while Windows 7 has dropped to 36.52.

Of course this is the beginning of the end for the 10-year operating system Windows 7.
