WhatsApp: Hackers have attacked users on iPhone and Android through a code

The application discovered a vulnerability that allows attackers to install malicious code on iPhones and Android phones by calling a target device.

The code could be transmitted even if users did not answer their phones, the Financial Times reported.

People are now being asked to update their WhatsApp instantly, follow Telegraph.

There are concerns that the software is used in efforts to access human rights activists’ phones, including a lawyer in the United Kingdom.

WhatsApp claims to have 1.5 billion worldwide users and released a software update on Monday.
