NVIDIA launched today the new Max-Q graphics cards updated with RTX 2080 Super Max-Q hardware and advanced features. Like desktop hardware, the new products offer increased gaming performance and content creation. But NVIDIA also brought some innovations specifically for performance and energy efficiency for the new 2020 laptops.
The more potent model, the RTX 2080 Super, has 3,072 CUDA cores compared to the 2,944 it previously had on the RTX 2080 Max-Q but the 1080-1560Mhz frequency, 8GB DDR6 memory and 448GB/s bandwidth are the same. Graphic power ranges from 80 to 150+ watts.
The RTX 2070 Super has also been upgraded with an increase from 2,304 to 2,560 CUDA cores. The frequency is between 1,125 to 1,455Mhz.
Both graphics will appear on high-end laptops like the Gigabyte Aero 15 and Razer Blade 15. Laptops will cost up to $2,000 with these graphics.
