After AC Schnitzer “treatment”, the X3 M Competition comes more powerful

BMW’s X3 M Competition sports car has been “trained” by renowned AC Schnitzer, a car modification company.

The “treatment” from this company includes the new package for aerodynamics, engine reinforcement, modified shock absorbers, sports exhaust system and modified interior.

AC Schnitzer for this sports SUV has selected extra spoilers and rear spoilers, new 20- to 22-inch alloy wheels with 255/45 R20 and 265/45 R20 tires. 265/35 R22 and 275/35 R22, new exhaust system, modified shock absorbers (now this SUV is lower by 20-25 mm), as well as modified interior, which now has the AC Schnitzer steering wheel ”, Details of aluminum, sport pedals and new carpets.

Also, the AC Schnitzer for this X3 M Competition also offers its 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder powertrain package at 600 hp. The company will also be offering the BMW X3 M standard powertrain package, but details have yet to be revealed.

2020 BMW X3 M and X4 M Competition Revealed

The Bavarian manufacturer tried not to disappoint the fans, so the X3 M and X4 M have a 6-cylinder 3.0-twin turbo that produces 480 horsepower and 600 Nm of maximum torque on the base version.

BMW has prepared versions of Competition X3 M and X4 M with 510 horsepower. Regular models with 480 “horses” from 0 to 100 km/h reach 4.2 seconds, and in the Competition edition the two cars from the stand to 100 km/hour they reach for 4.1 seconds.

The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h but with the limit of the “M” driver, X3 M and X4 M “normal” reach 280 km/h and the Competition 285 km/h.

With all power options, the BMW X3 M and X4 M are transmitted on all axles using 8-speed and xDrive M Steptronic transmission. The speed box, of course, also has a manual mode, with levers placed on the wheel.

The X3 M and X4 M will be produced at the US factory of the BMW in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Prices have not yet been announced, while production starts in April 2019.
