The WhatsApp application is about to set fees for sending marketing messages and customer service to all businesses. This step has come since the application is facing slow growth of users and revenue.

Messages are expected to be charged from 0.5 to 9 cents, depending on where they are used, while company representatives said this fee would be almost the same as the cost of a phone sms.

Currently, WhatsApp Business has over 3 million active users, of about 1.5 billion people using the application in total, while the company has promised small businesses will continue to use the free app.

Facebook, which also owns Instagram and WhatsApp, has announced that it will monitor the amount of time people spend each day on its applications to offer users the ability to control themselves.

So in these apps will be offered the option to select their usage limit and users will be notified when they are near that time limit.
