There will be more than a few new features, and standard increase in specifications, but no major changes in design or new models were expected.

At least while Macotakara issued a striking report on Monday morning.

According to the Japanese technology blog, Apple has five new iPhone models scheduled for 2019. In addition to updated XS, XS Max and XR models, reliable supply chain sources claim that Apple is working on two other OLED iPhone models specially designed to accommodate three-lens rear cameras.

The first OLED model is said to have a 6.1-inch screen and will be 0.15mm thicker than the iPhone XS, but the design of the camera will be reduced by 0.05mm.

The second model, which features a 6.5-inch screen, will be 0.40mm thicker than the iPhone XS Max, but similarly, the camera will see a 0.25mm reduction.

Macotakara says both of these models are expected to launch with Lightning USB-C cables with an 18W charger and reverse-charge support, which will give future iPads the ability to charge AirPod- in and other devices, through this charger.
