Not that we need to, but who wouldn’t want to have one?

During the Next@Acer 2020 streaming gaming segment, Acer unveiled new Predator products, including a desktop and a laptop, an energy drink called the Predator Shot, a Bluetooth massage, and a boxing gaming chair. They also discovered the 360Hz Predator X25 monitor.

The Acer Predator X25 is a 24.5-inch 1080p monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate, bringing gameplay pleasing to the player’s eyes. Normally no one needs a 360Hz monitor when 240Hz and 144Hz are more than enough, but isn’t it a bad thing to have one or not?

The monitor supports G-Sync and uses LightSense, which allows the monitor to change the brightness and color temperature depending on the surrounding light. Another feature is Adaptive Light, which changes colors around the monitor depending on the view displayed on it.

The Acer Predator X25 will be coming to North America and Europe for a price of $1,100. Meanwhile, players can also purchase Acer’s cheapest monitor, the Predator XB3.

ROG Swift 360

Nvidia unveils its first 360Hz 1080p G-Sync monitor: ROG Swift 360

The first 360Hz monitor was unveiled during CES

Nvidia unveiled yesterday the world’s fastest gaming and esports monitor, the ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz. This monitor is 24.5 inches in size and supports a resolution of 1080p to 360Hz, exceeding the current standard of 240Hz.

The monitor uses Nvidia’s G-Sync technology to deliver the best PC experience, which means players must have the best Nvidia GPUs to use it to its full potential. It’s not clear how this monitor works with AMD GPUs, so they’ll have to wait a bit longer for more information. Meanwhile, GeForce RTX users can immediately use the advanced features of this monitor.

Along with the monitor and trailer above, Nvidia also released statistics from their research last year. The company found that flick shots in Overwatch improved by 37% from a 360Hz monitor to 60Hz, beating 240Hz by 4%.

Some of the games that support this monitor are Rainbow Six: Siege, Fortnite, Overwatch and CS: GO. To show players the possibilities offered by a 360Hz monitor, Nvidia created a test in CS: GO where players have to eliminate as many opponents in 45 seconds, constantly rotating to find opponents. The company plans to bring a demo this week to CES, where the ROG Swift 360Hz will debut.

Nvidia has not yet released details on the launch date and pricing of the monitor, but it is rumored that it will come in 2020. ASUS monitor will certainly not be for the faint-hearted, seeing similar monitors 24 inch 240Hz go for around $400- $500, but for competitive players this is definitely a worthwhile investment.

Odyssey G9 Gaming Monitor

Samsung New 49-Inch QLED Curved Odyssey G9 Gaming Monitor Unveiled

At Electronic Consumer Show (CES), Samsung is presenting an extremely curved monitor. The 32: 9, 49-inch QLED has a resolution of 5120×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 240Hz.

The screen is HDR1000 certified. It supports AMD’s FreeSync2 and is also compatible with Nvidia G-Sync.

Extreme curved, as Verge tells it, conveys an all-inclusive experience “where the screen feels like it’s on all sides.” There’s a big blue light on the back, which makes the screen appear like a science fiction movie.

Along with the Odyssey G9, Samsung also announced the smaller Odyssey G7 monitors. They should be available in 32- and 27-inch versions in 16: 9 format and 2560×1440 pixels resolution.

The refresh rate is also 240Hz, but the brightness is lower at HDR600 unlike Odyssey G9. Like the larger model, Odyssey G7 comes with a radius of 1000. Prices for these screens range from 1200 Euro and above.

Samsung Space Gaming

This 32-inch Samsung Space Gaming takes up little space for a gaming monitor

Giant gaming monitors have one problem: they occupy most of the desk space leaving little room for speakers and other peripherals.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Samsung may have found a simple solution. The new Space Gaming Monitor SR75Q adopts the formula of a Space Monitor. The 32-inch screen is slim and flush with the wall.

However this monitor has replaced 4K in favor of a 2,560×1440 pixel resolution with a refresh rate of 144Hz and support for AMD FreeSync.

As in the past, with this modem you can hide the power cables and HDMI without overlooking the desk. Samsung did not provide details on the price of the monitors but should be available globally in the fourth quarter of the year.

Their price can range around $500, as well as the Space Monitor.
