DxOMark: The iPhone XR surpasses Google Pixel 2 for one of the key features

The iPhone XR comes with a single 12-megapixel camera featuring Apple‘s Smart HDR technology. And according to DxOMark, a well-known camera testing company on the phone devices, Apple’s offer with the iPhone XR is more capable than Google Pixel 2 in general.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Google’s Pixel 2 launched last year and soon made a fame for itself thanks to its excellent camera offer.

In fact, Pixel 2 still produces some of the best photos on a phone so far.

DxOMark tests camera cameras and gives them a final result based on overall quality, flexibility and other factors.

Google Pixel 2 received a final score of 98 when tested last year.

However, the iPhone XR has dropped the Google offer with a score of 101.

DxOMark explained that the iPhone XR is now the “best phone with a camera” that it has tested.

“The iPhone XR exceeds Pixel 2 Google’s picture. Both devices achieve the same result in the video, ” DxOMark’s report.

It is noteworthy that although the iPhone XR reached a higher score than Pixel 2, DxOMark has not yet submitted their verdict to Pixel 3, the new Google phone that was launched in October.

Achieving Efficiency and Originality with Atomic Web Design Approach

Since the inception of web development, there is an epic battle going on to balance originality and efficiency in the web pages made. Web designers and developers now have a handful of technological tools and creative methodologies to meet their requirements at best.

There are many flexible front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, a lot of creative websites to get inspired, or it is even easier now to copy the design elements to customize for your purpose, which all are easy and legitimate ways to create stunning websites.

On the other hand, if everyone tends to borrow styles of the same source, all websites may start to look incredibly alike. However, there is an ultimate solution which allows both innovation and speed in a unique manner to create distinctly engaging web elements, its ‘Atomic Design.’

Atomic Design by Brad Frost

Brad Frost, the creator of atomic design methodology, claims that “the methodology aims at creating fundamental web elements” he also adds that “atomic design can create systems which promote scalability and consistency alongside showing things in the final context.”

From the experience of designers and developers over time, as explained at Rochester web design Atomic Design, atomic design not only boosts efficiency without compromising on originality but also helps the designers to visualize what the final product will be like. Further, in this post, we will dig into the fundamentals of this innovative design concept and integrate atomic design to your web development workflow.

The primary concept of atomic design

Atomic design splits a web interface into 5 distinct levels. From smallest to the largest, these are an atom, molecule, organism, template, and page.

– Atom refers to the most fundamental element in the interface which cannot be further meaningfully broken down.

– The molecule consists of several atoms with some functionality.

– The organism is a combination of molecules, which form a distinct part of the web interface by incorporating header, footer, grid, etc.

– The template is a meaningful organization of organisms, which specifies how the content appears.

– The page is the formation of an into the final user interface, which contains real functional content.

Modular designing

On starting with a new project, you have to first begin coding by combining the reusable modules. However, it is now rare to start a project from scratch without any existing elements. Most of the times, the need in hand may be upgrading the current site or redesigning an interface.

Whatever the need is, if content already exists, you should first run an audit to prepare the content inventory. Instead of documenting the images, text, and other tangible components, you have to document things which make up the UI, from icons to image types and rich media.

With the above knowledge, identify the atoms, molecules, organisms, and templates in your design. By assessing the needs of your planned user interface, ensure that the inventory is made perfect with all essential atoms and then devise the molecules, organisms, templates, and page features.

This project should incorporate the developers, designers, copywriters, project managers, along with business decision makers and digital marketers to assess the business needs and priorities. Further, the development process needed to be planned accordingly and should be accomplished step by step in the desired manner.

OnePlus 5G Phone Will Cost $200 to $300 More Than OnePlus 6T

OnePlus 5G Phone Will Cost $200 to $300 More Than OnePlus 6T

CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau, confirmed to TechRadar that the company plans to release a 4G version of their phone along with the 5G version for those who do not want support for the next-generation internet connection, reports Telegraph.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

“Because 5G will be focused on a handful of unique enthusiasts, we will have a 4G product developed and available in parallel,” Lau told TechRadar at Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2018.

The price of the smartphone will be more expensive than we’ve seen from the company, with Lau saying “My prediction is that the cost will be between $200 and $300 higher for the 5G device. This is not necessarily a problem for our users since [5G] is what they want. “

“We never wanted to make a cheaper product for the sake of being cheaper. There has been more of a transition to the unique business model, “Lau added.

Issuing a 4G version of the upcoming phone along with the more expensive 5G phone will allow the company to remain competitive while also providing the next internet connection for those who love it.

Lau strongly believes that 5G innovation is one thing the brand’s followers want soon, so that’s why OnePlus is pushing its mission to launch a 5G phone on sale.

New data shows that new iPhones are being sold less than past models

There have been various allegations suggesting that Apple’s new iPhone 2018, iPhone XR, Xs and Xs Max are not selling as well as Apple and their target customers have targeted.Given that Apple does not plan to divide the sales figures of iPhone, it can not be known 100% of the units sold.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

However, according to the latest data from the Mixpanel (via 9to5Mac), iPhone’s poor sales reports prove to be true.

As you can see in the graph above, the main graphs belong to iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X, while the latter three are those of the iPhone Xs, Xs Max and XR.

The market-adjusted difference is clear and the gap is quite large. This becomes more apparent when comparing iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, where it can be seen that iPhone X actually reaches iPhone 2016 in terms of adoption.

2018 iPhones have been on sale for only 2-3 months and judging by the growing trend in the chart, it is highly likely that market adaptation will increase but if it could overtake last year’s models it is still unclear.

Samsung unveil the design of the upcoming Galaxy S10

Samsung has unveiled a prototype of the new smartphone of the next generation and this leaves much to be desired. Some have already described a very ugly phone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

South Korea’s technology company provided an early look at future hardware during the Qualcomm Snapdragon annual meeting in Maui.

The phone appeared as part of a 5G event, following the news that Samsung has partnered with Verizon in the US to bring a 5G phone to the market early next year.

According to the latest whispers within the company, Samsung will support 5G networks with the new Galaxy S10 Plus. This device will also feature an Infinity-O style screen, which has a small circular cut to accommodate the front camera – the only break in a full-screen design.

Unfortunately, this is not what we saw with the prototype device. Instead, a clutter was discovered dominated by the black ribbon surrounding the screen in the upper part.

Fortunately, it is not guaranteed to be the final design that appears on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus when new phones are launched next year.

In fact, Justin Denison from Samsung told TechRadar: “You should think about this device as an example device, not necessarily an indication of what the ultimate device, size, form or UI look will look like.”

OnePlus, not Samsung, will bring the first phone with the new Snapdragon 855 processor

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau attended today’s Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology meeting in Hawaii to make a surprising announcement: the first device for the world market with the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor will be produced by OnePlus.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

While OnePlus devices traditionally feature the latest and newest Snapdragon processors, the honor of being the first in the market usually goes to Samsung, mostly with the Galaxy S series.

Lau did not explain what, exactly, this OnePlus smartphone would be. If it’s the first in the market with the newest SP processor, it means will be launched before the Samsung Galaxy S10, which is expected to appear in late February.

It would be too early to announce a new OnePlus phone, considering the OnePlus 6T that was launched only at the end of October.

Perhaps the OnePlus phone with the Snapdragon 855 will be a 5G-based phone, announced early this year. In fact, a OnePlus press release sent to the Android Authority confirmed that the first 5G merchant phone in Europe will also be a OnePlus device.

It can not be said for sure, but it’s a good bet that OnePlus will release a phone with Snapdragon 855 and 5G in Europe and possibly other countries before the end of February.

This independent device would not be OnePlus 7, but a new phone line from the company

Xiaomi Is Developing a Phone With 48 Megapixel Camera

Since Sony has featured a 48 megapixel camera sensor earlier this year, it seems that megapixel racing is continuing for mobile devices once again. Huawei with the latest devices, Mate 20 and P20 Pro, have 40 megapixels.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Their local rival, Xiaomi, is seeking to push things to a new level with a smartphone that has a 48-megapixel rear camera.

The executive director at Xiaomi, Lin Bin, posted a photo at Weibo for what appears to be a phone with a 48 megapixel rear camera. We can also see a dual LED flash in the image. The number of lenses is not clear from this photo, so it can be either a dual or triple camera system.

There is no further information at this point except it will be launched in January next year. Bin added that he has used this phone for a few weeks and thinks he is not “bad”.

If the company is to launch this phone next month, it is likely to have the world’s first 48 megapixel camera phone. Whether to use the Sony or Samsung 48MP camera sensor, it remains to be seen.

There is no iPhone 5G in 2019, we have to wait until 2020

Apple has no plans to launch an iPhone 5G next year. Instead, we will have to wait until 2020 for an Apple iPhone capable of connecting to the new high-speed phone technology.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Bloomberg has discussed the issue with “people close to the company,” who refuse to be named. Sources claim that Apple will wait until the 5G network matures and stabilizes before launching a compatible product.

This is a strategy Apple has adopted in the past, launching the iPhone 3G and 4G long after their competition.

Samsung, OnePlus, Huawei and some other manufacturers have already confirmed that they will launch 5G phones in 2019, with at least two of them bringing devices in the first half of the year.

Waiting, Apple can give top rivals an important edge.

“Apple has always been in delay with phone technology,” told analyst Gartner Mark Hung for Bloomberg.

“They were not affected in the past, but 5G would be much easier for the market. If they wait beyond 2020, then I think they will be affected. “

Samsung will launch the Galaxy A8 on December 10th

Samsung promoted the launch of the Galaxy A8 a few weeks ago when launching a couple of new devices in China.Information that the company released at that time suggested that the device would have a new type of screen. Much more for the screen was announced in SDC 2018 last month.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The Galaxy A8 is expected to have the Infinity-O screen. Samsung has already confirmed it will unveil this device on December 10th.

The Infinity-O screen provides a new way to replace the black screen bar, something Samsung has not adopted for their smartphones yet. The new screen puts the front camera in a hole that is perforated on the current screen panel.

Samsung is highlighting this unique feature of the Galaxy A8 in a promo that appeared at Weibo in China today.

The cellphone will be unveiled on December 10 in Beijing. It is still unclear whether Samsung will launch the new Galaxy A8 models elsewhere.

Galaxy A8 specifications have not yet been announced, but there is less than a week until devices goes into the market.

Instagram adds the “close friends” feature

The famous app added a new “close friends” feature that will allow you to post stories that are only visible to a selected group of your followers.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Instagram for the first time promoted this feature last year – originally dubbed “Favorite” in response to the popularity of secondary accounts, often secret, used to distribute content within a smaller circle of friends.

Now, more than a year after testing the feature, “close friends” are being opened for everyone. The function, which will be in the latest version of the app, allows you to specify whether you want all your followers to be able to view your story or just some of those you’ve designated as “close friends”.

The update is likely to further complicate the already large social networking dynamics of Instagram accounts, especially for teenagers.

This feature also looks a little bit like Snapchat’s “best friends” feature, which lets you see the three closest friends of anyone who you are in Snapchat. This feature was discontinued in 2015.
