5 Tips For Choosing The Right Laptop

5 Tips For Choosing The Right Laptop

5 Tips For Choosing The Right Laptop

Most people need a computer regularly for their daily life. Whether it’s staying in touch with friends and family, or to Google  how machines work, most people use a computer at least several times a week. As such, it’s important that you choose the right one.

Since a laptop offers the most portability and is more powerful than ever, a portable computer is the best choice in today’s market.  In order to ensure that you make the right choice, it’s important to keep these things in mind.

Screen Size

Your screen size plays a big role in how well a laptop will work for you. For example, if you mostly use your computer for viewing movies, or editing photographs, you’re likely going to want a larger screen. However, if you use your computer occasionally, and are less concerned with the size of your graphics, then something smaller should be just fine. A larger screen usually means a heavier computer, however, so that’s something important to keep in mind if you’re looking for something lighter.

Operating System

In today’s market, there are several different operating systems to consider. Apple runs with its own operating system, while most PC’s default operating system is Windows. You may have even heard of Linux which is an alternative to Windows yet less geared towards average consumers.

Nowadays, Chromebooks are also quite popular, since they function purely off the web. However, if you need to run specific Microsoft products like Word, then you should steer away from Chromebooks.

Ultimately, the type of operating system you run will largely depend on what you use your laptop for. However, it’s not something you should overlook when making your choice.

Specs

When you’re looking around at laptops, it’s important to get to know some of the basic terminologies regarding specs. You want to know what a laptop’s processor is, and how much RAM it has. You should also ideally look for one with a solid-state drive, which will boost your laptop’s overall performance and make it more resistant to drops and falls.

Graphics

Laptops come with what is called a graphics card, which will determine the quality of graphics on your laptop. If you’re a heavy gamer or enjoy watching movies often, then you’ll want something with a more powerful graphics card.

Price

When it comes to technology, not all that glitters is gold. Even though something may come with a high price tag, it doesn’t guarantee that it’s worth the price you’re going to pay. Consider all of your options before arriving at your final choice, and make sure that it’s something you can actually afford. There’s no point in putting yourself in debt for a laptop that’s out of your price range. There are plenty of affordable laptops out there that are perfectly suited for your needs.

Bitcoin: Companies Supporting Bitcoin and Other Crypto

Many big businesses accept Bitcoin as a valid form of money. The powerful special computers required to mine Bitcoin absorb large amounts of energy in China, with dirt-cheap and weak restrictions. Tesla discontinued its Bitcoin offer approximately three months later, a firm whose whole image is upon renewable energy. Musk highlighted environmental concerns and the enormous volume of fossil fuels to create a single coin. On 12 May, the mea culpa of Muske washed $365 billion in one day from the bitcoin market. For more precise and accurate information, visit bitcoin investment.

Microsoft

In 2014, it started taking bitcoin as payment for games, apps, or platforms like Windows Phone. Microsoft became an early adopter. It was a year of controversy with the most significant Bitcoin exchange in the world, Mt. Gox, falling into bankruptcy following a flourish of fraud, hacking, and events that lost hundreds of millions of Dollars of Bitcoins.

Home Depot Home

Its acceptance is crucial since it indicates that you may buy goods with Bitcoin for your entire house. Home Depot supports Bitcoin payments using in-store checkout systems from Flexa. It simplifies the use of Bitcoin for payment since the partnership of Gemini with Flexa has eliminated the friction frequently associated with Bitcoin transactions.

Twitch

Twitch is the 800 livers gorilla on the video platform block for streaming. Like Whole Foods, Amazon owns Twitch. It takes cryptocurrencies as well as Whole Foods — not just Bitcoin. However, in June 2020, Twitch returned this functionality to the joy of its crypto-conscious fans.

Shopify

Shopify mentions four payment sources on its website as additional payment options. Over 1,800 cryptocurrencies are traders’ payments, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. Shopify allows retailers to use the platform to pick their preferred payment methods.

Rakuten

Japanese shopping/cashback website Rakuten started enabling consumers in 2015 to select Bitcoin as their payment option. The firm started with Rakuten.com in the U.S. as part of a worldwide Bitcoin rollout before expanding the new services to its equivalents in Germany and Austria. Since then, the Rakuten Wallet has to accommodate Altcoins like Ethereum.

Pizza Hut

Bitcoin may now buy and pay for the large pizza company Pizza Hut in Venezuela by November 2020. It happens after economic sanctions have slammed the nation, which has driven bitcoin acceptance to new heights. While this is not a worldwide step, it may be a forerunner for what will happen.

Newegg

Giant Newegg online electronics welcome Bitcoin — and they’re all-in. In contrast to some others, Newegg may pay for cryptography in cash through an app or a third-party provider. All you have to do is pick ‘Pay with Bitcoin’ and take the shipping steps for buyers who buy via a computer. For customers shopping on mobile phones, Newegg will send a Q.R. code for scanning. Newegg also provides cryptocurrency mining starting kits to anyone who wants to get created Bitcoins on their own.

PayPal Holdings Inc.

PayPal announced in October 2020 that consumers in the U.S. could buy, trade, and store a limited amount of cryptocurrencies directly from their Cash or Cash Plus accounts by 2021. You can learn about cryptocurrencies and track them using your PayPal app.

Starbucks

As masks began to cover faces throughout America, Starbucks declared in March 2020 that it was embracing the Bitcoin revolution—sort of it.

Apple

BitPay is an application that enables users to buy Bitcoins and use Apple Pay prepaid Mastercard. The BitPay wallet software supports several cryptocurrencies, including Ether and Bitcoin Cash and stable USD currency, Paxos Standard, Gemini Dollar, and Binance USD.

Etsy

Etsy does not have a mechanism to take Bitcoin as a payment site, but the independent merchants that provide their platform can accept cryptography in their respective stores. In this example, when purchasers click on that option, they may send their payment preferences to the purchaser — Bitcoin. The seller then answers the transaction with a Bitcoin address. The Etsy Community Forum offers a unique Bitcoin-style page with tutorials to tell merchants how they accept Bitcoin and make the process work properly.

Overstock

In 2018, CNN said that Overstock was “essentially now a crypto-company,” an exaggeration based on the substantial online retailer investment in technology blockchain. At the time, Overstock was already a Bitcoin veteran – before COVID increased to its present prominence as one of the world’s top E-Commerce platforms.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go

Microsoft revealed Surface Laptop Go starting at $549

Will come with a real processor like the 10th Gen Intel Core i5

Microsoft unveiled another Surface, as the most affordable alternative among its devices. At a price as low as $549 it is clearly intended to grab potential buyers of the Chromebook.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The Surface Laptop Go will have a 12.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1536 x 1024. This smaller frame makes it the lightest Surface laptop ever with 1.2kg weight. And yet it will have a full keyboard and a large trackpad.

Unlike other products, it will come with a real processor like the 10th Gen Intel Core i5. It’s not the latest generation but the quad-core chip should be enough. The base model comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB space, in 2020 better to buy a smartphone. The laptop will have a USB-C port and another USB-A but also a headphone jack. The front-facing camera will have no facial recognition, but a fingerprint sensor will be on the power button. It features Wi-Fi 6 support and fast charging, up to 80% within an hour.

Depending on the combinations these are the prices:

  • Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC : $549.99
  • Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB  SSD : $699.99
  • Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD  : $899.99

Xbox Series S

The Xbox Series S will be cheap but is it worth it?

The smallest Xbox ever will cost $299

Microsoft has revealed to us everything we need to know about the next-generation console, the Xbox Series X, and among other things informed us that a more modest version will also come under the name Series S about which nothing was known until now.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

It was not long before Microsoft itself finally confirmed it. The smallest Xbox ever will cost $299. But more than the price, what we are interested in is definitely what this device is capable of, in the end, Microsoft says that both consoles will have almost the same performance. At that price difference will be hard to believe.

Another video leaked finally clarifies our doubts and everything makes sense.

The Xbox Series S will be a single digital version without disks, a move followed by the PS5, but what worries us is actually the console SSD which according to the video will be 512GB.

A part of this space will be occupied by the operating system. Also, the new generation games are expected to increase the space they require available in relation to the quality, so very little space is provided for games. Just think GTA V is 45GB, in total, you will not be able to download more than 10 games on this console. And if you are going to download something else, you do not have the previously downloaded and paid games.

The solution from Microsoft comes in the form of the Project xCloud platform which allows you to stream them without having to download, from a catalog of more than 100 titles. But of course for this service, you have to pay a certain subscription fee.

So in these conditions is it really worth buying the Xbox Series S? Is it really cheaper? Of course, we still remain in the circle of speculation, nothing officially has been confirmed.

Xbox Series X Official

The Xbox Series X is official, will cost $499

Orders start on September 22nd

Microsoft confirmed the release of the Xbox Series X on November 10 for $499. Orders start on September 22nd. Regardless of the console, you choose to purchase, the company will offer free EA Access as part of the Game Pass giving players access to over 60 titles like Mass Effect or Battlefield.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

In addition to the Xbox Series X, Microsoft yesterday unveiled the budget model of the Xbox Series S. The latter will cost $299 but has enough power for 1440p up to 120fps. But if you are looking to play 4K games then the Xbox Series X is a must and offers enough hardware while costing 2 times less than a gaming computer.

Microsoft also talked about the titles that will come to Project xCloud, the platform where players play in the cloud and that debuts on September 15th. The platform has been in the testing phase since September 15th.

Microsoft Surface Duo

Microsoft Surface Duo will come in September at a $1,399 price tag

Microsoft finally confirmed that the Surface Duo is ready for the market with orders starting today while  coming out on September 10

Microsoft is launching its dual-screen Android phone Surface Duo on September 10, priced at $1,399. A few months after Microsoft executives partially announced the device on Twitter, the company today officially begins the pre-orders for the Surface Duo in the US. Orders will be available at AT&T, online at Microsoft and Best Buy.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The company had revealed the design of this smartphone for many months but only today we managed to discover its features as well. “This is probably one of the sexiest devices we’ve ever created,” Windows and hardware manager Panos Panay told at a pre-launch news conference today. “The Surface Duo does things that single-screen devices can’t do

The device includes two separate screens with 5.6 inches OLED (1800 x 1350) with a ratio of 4:3 that are connected together to form a screen – of an 8.1-inch (2700 x 1800) total workspace with a ratio of 3: 2. Unlike other foldable models like Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, the Surface Duo is using real Gorilla Glass, and the screens are designed to work in a similar way to multiple monitors on a Windows PC.

Microsoft is using the 11MP f/ 2.0 camera, which will include automatic low light modes, multi-frame HDR capture, and a “superzoom” of up to 7x. 4K and 1080p video recordings will be supported at 30fps and 60fps, with electronic image stabilization. There is only one camera in the Surface Duo, which can be used for both video calling and main camera.

The Surface Duo features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal memory. LTE is available on T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon, but there is no support for 5G. Microsoft has been working closely with Google on Android for the Surface Duo. Microsoft had to rely on Android for the reason of mobile applications, especially after Windows Phone failed in the market.

Microsoft will bring Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2 next month

The latest leaks bring to attention Microsoft and recently beloved products for the user

Apparently Microsoft will use Intel’s latest generation 10 processors for the Surface Book 3, along with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Rumors also say that this time Nvidia Quadro graphics cards will be used in some Book 3 models.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

This is to focus on the demand of 3D animators, designers, or engineers who prefer optimized Quadro for some types of professional programs instead of video games.

As for the Go 2, in addition to the standard version with Intel Pentium Gold processor, there will also be a version with Intel Core i3. The latter is known to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage as well as LTE capability.

The Surface Go 2 will have a 10.5-inch screen and thinner frames. The design will be the same as the first Go series, so the new generation’s exterior accessories will work best with the new product.

Microsoft plans to release them next month, things may change from pandemic but it has been a long time since the company is working on these products.
