The Galaxy Note 10 debut finally has a date

Samsung has confirmed the existence of Galaxy Note 10, the phone that will succeed Galaxy Note 9 launched in August last year. Speaking at a roundtable, CEO of Samsung Mobile DJ Koh in response to a question about Bixby said that “Note 10 will be another stage for Bixby.”

According to CNET, Samsung’s phone will debut on August 7, 2019. It is about a year since the debut of Note 9, which was officially introduced on August 9, 2018.

Note 10 is expected to cost between $1,100 and $1,200. There are also two models of Note 10 this year: a premium Note 10 Pro model and a more affordable Note 10 in the same way that Samsung launched Galaxy S10 Plus and S10e on Mars.

Also 4G and 5G versions of Note 10 will be provided as reported. There have been numerous speculation on design, cameras and components but are expected to come close to the design philosophy of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.

Google gets the green light for Android licensing at Huawei

It has not been a month since the United States imposed a ban on US companies doing business with Huawei citing national security concerns.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Two days ago President Trump relaxed his tone when he said American companies could continue to do business with the telecommunications giant. While it is unknown how long this “permit” extends and if it will be applies to 5G technology, one thing is certain that Google and Huawei will continue to cooperate.

Under US sanction terms, Google decided to revoke Huawei’s Android license, which means that the company’s phones will not use the Play Store or Google’s services. While Trump did not mention specific companies like Google, Qualcomm and Intel, he cited the complex products and technologies created by American companies.

“What we did in the Silicon Valley is tremendous, and no one has been able to compete with it and we have agreed that our companies will continue to sell Huawei-s products,” Trump said.

While American sanctions had not yet come into effect due to 90-day permissions, it had started to affect Huawei’s upcoming products. Now Google is once again ready to license Huawei’s Android.

Microsoft warns 800 million Windows 10 users

Windows 10 problems are not over. The platform has been hit by numerous issues in recent weeks and Microsoft‘s partners have made the situation even worse.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

But another warning from Microsoft comes to Windows 10. Microsoft warned 800 million Windows 10 users that a serious and enduring problem was on a platform that is not known if we can consider it a problem.

Microsoft said it has silently shut down Windows registry backups in Windows 10 eight months ago. Creating registry backups is one of the most important protection processes for many businesses and users. If the Windows Backup System fails when windows has failed, the backup of the registry is all that remains.

From Windows 10 version 1803, the operating system does not save the backup of the registry to the RegBack folder.

Windows 10 1803 debuted in October and despite the fact that this “problem” was dealt with in the Feedback Center, only today the company is open to what has happened. Ironically because Microsoft two months ago said Windows 10 users would have more “control, quality, and transparency.”

According to the company it has been made to shrink the space occupied by Windows on the disk. And how much space does a backup of the registry? Between 50 to 100MB.

In recent months, Microsoft has intensified its efforts to relocate hundreds of millions of Windows 7 users to Windows 10. Such actions have to hinder Microsoft’s mission.

Why are our smartphones so good, but the batteries are so bad?

Why are our smartphones so good, but the batteries are so bad?

Even with the largest batteries and external battery packs, the most modern smartphones have a lot of work to do at the end of the day, while the best devices can barely spend two days without charging.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Before, the phones had a longer battery life, which lasted a few days without the need for charging. Our smartphones are more powerful than, for example, the Nokia 3310, but why are the batteries not so powerful?

According to Venkat Srinivasan, an expert in battery technology, the explanation is very simple. Moore’s law has left battery technology behind, which means that our phones have improved, and require more power at a higher rate than the advancements made in the batteries.

This does not mean that there have been no improvements. Energy density has been increasing steadily over the last few years while internal components have declined. The rechargeable batteries we use today in phones are based on lithium cobalt, a technology that has been in use since the 1990s, and we have reached the maximum energy we can get from it.

There is hope for the future as researchers are looking for a new battery technology, such as solid batteries, that can open doors for more material to boost battery power. Yes, there is a cake, as at the time of using these batteries, the phones of the future will have advanced even more and you may need more power to hold the charge more than a day.

Samsung will launch the second foldable phone, before Huawei

Korea Herald quoted for The Investor the Samsung‘s plan to launch multiple folding devices, including a phone that unfolds outside.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

After criticizing for the form, it looks as though Samsung is not only supporting it, but the report suggests that this Samsung phone – the second folding device behind Galaxy Fold – will arrive before Huawei launches Mate X.

Galaxy Fold has not yet launched, although it is ready for the market, but Samsung promises it will not affect the launch of the Note 10.

Huawei Mate X has been delayed due to the late launch of the 5G, as it is a 5G phone, although earlier reports alleged that the delay is because Huawei does a lot of tests, trying to avoid problems like Samsung.

The launch date has not yet been revealed but is likely to be earlier than the date set for Huawei. It is reported that suppliers have already begun producing mass parts, and perhaps even the phone itself.

Recently, we have heard some announcements about Samsung’s future folding equipment, including one that opens as a shell and a patent of a curved display phone.

Oppo demonstrates the selfie camera under the screen

In recent years, the design of smartphones has been dominated by the debate as to how big the screen size would be and where critical components would be placed, which hamper the extension of the size of the phone screens without playing the size of the phone body itself.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

One option has been the integration of technologies such as fingerprint scanners or cameras and frontal sensors directly on the screen. Scanners and sensors were integrated and the remaining challenge was to integrate the cameras under the screen.

Oppo is one of the companies that has mostly experimented with the “notch” of screens and selfie cameras “pop-ups” and was the first company to demonstrate a camera under the screen a few weeks ago.

Now the company has decided to give more details on how this technology works. Oppo says the screen uses a translucent transparent material that works with a redesigned pixel structure so the light enters the camera.

The sensor itself is bigger than ordinary selfie cameras, increasing its aperture. The space reserved for the camera works by touch and Oppo says the screen quality is not affected.

The company faced another problem. Under-screen cameras had reduced image quality and problems such as haze, reflection, and color inaccuracy. For this Oppo has developed an algorithm that addresses these problems by bringing quality to the level of “every selfie camera on the market today.”

When will this phone arrive? Oppo says the plans to launch the device with a sub screen in “a near future.” Even in the past, the company demonstrated technology long before they were available.

The current flagship, Oppo Reno, with the zoom lens in the form of a snare is an example. However, the development and commercialization of this phone took more than a year.

More ads on Instagram

More ads will be added to Instagram. Yesterday, the social media platform said it will soon place ads on the site of exploring foreign posts where people go to find new content that suits their interests.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Ads will not appear directly on the Explore page but once the user opens a post on this page and starts browsing through the timeline. The ads will be photos and videos and the first will be live from today.

In the coming months, anyone will be able to place ads in Explore. While it is true that people enter the Explore space to find things of interest, they may not like to see more ads in their accounts.

Currently, Instagram uses Stories for Advertising Spaces and Timeline. Using an extra space for advertising may affect the authentic Instagram experience, however, making Facebook more likely to generate more revenue.

Instagram is an advertising business that needs to fit with brand pride. A free social network, users pay for Instagram in the form of attention for the content that distributes the marks.

American companies continue to do business with Huawei in violation of Trump’s order

American chip makers are still sending millions of dollars of products to Huawei bypassing Trump’s executive order that forbids something like that, the New York Times reported.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

The sale of components to Huawei began three weeks ago reported the American prestige.

Sources close to the newspaper said Intel and Micron are benefiting from the way products are labeled for sending to Huawei as products that are manufactured abroad by American companies and are not considered American.

Last month, Huawei was placed on the black list of trade by banning the sale and purchase of technology from American companies. The executive order came as a concern of the United States of the close ties that Huawei has with the Chinese government, while the latter has repeatedly denied the allegations.

A week after Trump signed the executive order, the Department of Commerce eased some of the restrictions applied to Huawei by guaranteeing a temporary license so that the phone maker could update their software.

The movement caused much confusion in the industry. Micron CEO said he had initially stopped selling Huawei products but had resumed two weeks later.

Each company is affected differently because of the specific products and supply chains they have.

Galaxy A90 to have 5G and Advanced Camera Technology

Reports have meant that the Galaxy Note 10 will not be the most ‘creative’ Samsung this year, but in its place, a device from Series A, likely the Galaxy A90.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Initially it was rumored for the Galaxy A90 and its rotating camera in early March.

According to @OnLeaks, there will be two variants of the phone: SM-A905, and SM-A908. The difference between the two is said to be the fact that while one will support 5G (SM-A908), the other will have improved camera features (SM-A905).

Both will be equipped with a 6.7-inch screen, the report claims, and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

While the SM-A908 will have a triple camera installation of 48MP + 8MP + 5MP and will feature 5G support.

The SM-A905 will not have 5G, but its camera system will bring 48MP + 12MP + 5MP and will feature what the report calls it the “exclusive Tilt OIS technology.”
