OnePlus 7 to have a screen that will make the difference

All are waiting for the successor to OnePlus 6, but a debut date has not yet been confirmed by the Chinese manufacturer.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Company executive Pete Lau yesterday in an interview with The Verge revealed some of the details of OnePlus 7 and the premium OnePlus 7 Pro model.

He confirmed that OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro will come with 5G connectivity. We expect these phones to compete with Samsung, Huawei and Apple and as a result an approximate price with the flagships of these companies.

Lau says the OnePlus 7 Pro screen will set a new standard for smartphone screens. He said it has a refresh rate of 90Hz and is fast and easy to use.

The industry standard is currently 60Hz and only gaming smartphones like Razer Phone 1 and 2 or Asus ROG Phone have exceeded this limit.

Lau also unveiled that OnePlus 7 will be more expensive than OnePlus 6T when it debuts. So it will undoubtedly start from $579 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB memory model. OnePlus 7 Pro, according to speculation, will have a pop-up selfie camera, 3x optical zoom, and a super-wide angle sensor.

Huawei unveils the first 5G hardware for cars

Huawei launched on Monday, what could be the world’s first communications 5G hardware for the automotive industry.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

This move is a sign of the company’s ambition to become the leader and leading supplier of self-steering technology for cars.

Huawei‘s hardware is called the MH5000 and is a 5G Balong 5000 chip-based gadget launched in January.

The module was introduced at the Shanghai Car Show, which is being held for a week. Huawei said the module will be implemented in the automotive sector by the second half of this year.

In recent years, Huawei has tested interconnected car technology in several Chinese cities like Shanghai, Shenzhen and Wuxi.

The company that is the world’s largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer has entered a competition to become a global leader in 5G networks.

However, it has been targeted by America’s criticisms and accusations of espionage on behalf of China. Huawei has repeatedly denied these charges.

Why Security Matters for Your Virtual Cloud Server

Why Security Matters for Your Virtual Cloud Server

Security matter every bit as much in the virtual world as it does in the one we live in. Learn why security matters for your cloud server here.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

It is as simple as this, as long as there is internet there will always be security breaches and security challenges. It is an issue that will never go away. Put simply, security matters.

It doesn’t matter who you are or how big you are, the internet is a leveler when it comes to security. For example, not that long ago, Marriott Hotels revealed that hackers had accessed information on 500 million customers.

If you are using the cloud as an environment for some of your computing and business functions then you are likely already reaping some of the benefits as it can offer many advantages. However, it seems some of the key challenges to cloud security does not sit with your cloud provider but sits with you as the user.

In this article, you will learn why that is true and what you should be doing about it.

Sharing Is Caring

It is a mistake to assume that if you are using cloud services that your service provider must take all the responsibility for security. The fact is that their responsibility extends to the main infrastructure that powers the cloud such as the data center itself and the physical servers.

On the other hand, you are responsible for everything that operates on the cloud such as the data workloads and applications. Hackers are getting cleverer at developing malware to imitate applications that operate in the cloud. All it takes is for an employee to open infected software to expose the business to a security breach.

So the first thing to accept is the idea of shared responsibility between you and your cloud provider when it comes to security matters.

Heart of Security Matters

There are many ways to access data and transfer information over the internet securely such as php and sftp connections. These are just some of the options but it ultimately depends on the application and intended use. So it seems it is less about the technology itself, and more about how it is used.

For example, the use of security passwords is old and yet how those passwords are created needs to evolve with the increasing complexity and sophistication of hackers. Passwords need to include a capital letter, number, punctuation and not be a word in the dictionary. Yet, how many passwords do not follow that protocol?

At the heart of good security is the random creation of passwords as well as protective measures like multi-factor authentication. Compromise on these and it may only be a matter of time before a security breach.

Get Expert Help

Hackers are experts in what they do. You cannot afford to try and combat expert with mediocre enthusiast. Security matters and your business deserves professional help.

There are many cloud-based security resources that you can use. LogMeIn is an example that is well known. As always, do not be quick to assume it is the best option for your business. A LogMeIn alternative is useful to compare value and flexibility before making any decisions.

Remember the Basics

It is easy to get overwhelmed in the modern digital world. The important thing is to keep the basics of security in mind.

In this article, you have read about why security matters in the cloud. It is your responsibility as well as the cloud provider. Make sure you get expert help and fully consider your options before making a decision.

Samsung postpones Galaxy Fold’s debut

The smartphone maker Samsung has decided to postpone the Galaxy Fold debut in Hong Kong and Shanghai that was scheduled for this week a few days after various reporters reported defective models.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

The company did not talk about the reasons for this extension. On April 26, Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy Fold in both the US and South Korea, however, some Galaxy Fold models provided to various analysts have been broken down into a few days of use.

These reports raised the recall of a similar scenario to the Galaxy Note 7 three years ago that ruined the company’s finances.

Galaxy Fold costs $1,980 and would be a huge cost to Samsung if things did not go right.

Some online media analysts had posted photos of the broken Galaxy Fold with the #foldgate hashtag on Twitter.

While Samsung has praised Galaxy Fold‘s design not only for its innovation but also for its sustainability. The Chinese giant and Huawei‘s biggest rival company also introduced a screened X-wing phone with a different folding mechanism.

Mate X unlike Galaxy Fold folds out and not internally.

What’s hidden inside the Samsung Galaxy Fold?

Samsung Galaxy Fold will not arrive to customers before April 26 but if you have been eager to see what’s hidden inside the phone then this is the moment.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The photos have been published on the Chinese social network Weibo while they are currently deleted. What should not surprise you is that you need lots of pieces to build a foldable screen phone.

They are mounted in a way that is difficult to repair however we should not forget it is the first generation of a product.

These pictures are the clearest of what this phone does to “sing.” However, we expect more phone dismountations in the coming days.

The axle is at the heart of Galaxy Fold and helps the 7.3-inch screen fold as well as keep it safe. It is fixed with three points that keep it safe from damage and breakage.

Some photos show two cables that go through the shaft and are most likely set to send power to two screens and maybe to the second battery of the phone when charging.

Moreover, we leave to your imagination what is hidden in Samsung‘s intentions with all those parts.

LG postpones the 5G phone debut

LG will postpone the launch of the first 5G device, the LG V50 ThinQ phone in South Korea. On an official stand, the company said it would push its debut to focus on the “completion” of the phone that had to arrive on April 19th.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

LG added that it was working closely with Qualcomm and South Korean mobile operators to improve the 5G experience. The debut date will confirm at a second notice the company said.

South Korea’s 5G Network was launched on April 3 a few hours before the US Verizon network was launched on the same day.

Verizon criticized the debut she saw as a 5G phone ad for a small number of celebrities.

The network was unavailable until April 5th when the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G went on sale.

It is not known what it means to postpone LG’s 5G phone to the rest of the world.

Intel fall back from competing for 5G of smartphones

Few hours after shocking news that Apple and Qualcomm had signed an agreement, Intel unexpectedly announced it would fall back completely from the 5G modems for smartphones.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Apple has been trying to replace Qualcomm and Intel modems recently, but this latest faced problems with implementing the 5G.

In a press release, Intel said it will not launch a 5G modem for smartphones although it planned to do so in 2020.

There has been speculation that the company has not reached deadlines and even Apple has lost confidence in Intel.

That is why Apple will not sell an iPhone with 5G at least for the next two years at a time when rivals like Samsung and Huawei have already done so.

Intel CEO said they were excited about the 5G but not the smartphones since there was no reliable route that could bring profit to the company.

In November last year it was said that Intel was accelerating the development of 5G modems and even giving a clear plan to CES in Jana.

Now the company says it will develop 4G and 5G technologies for IoT and computers as it will continue to invest in 5G infrastructure.

Samsung doesn’t stop, it starts working with the processors of the next generation

Samsung has only begun producing a 7-nanometer chip, but has already taken another major step to keep up with Moore law.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The company today said it had started work on new 5-nanometer chips and will begin building them for smartphones and other devices in the second trimester of 2020.

The benefits will not be enormous but significant. For example, users will receive 20% less energy consumption and 10% more speed.

The 5-nanometer transistors are so small that you can put 2,000 in the width of a human hair.

The company will use the same EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet) technology it has used to produce 7-nanometer chips. The EUV currently has a 13.5-nanometer beam width although long-awaited is a difficult process to achieve.

However, it remains very much needed to send the chip to the next level and stay at Moore’s law that says the number of transistors on a processor plate doubles every 24 months.

But reducing the transistor has created problems. GlobalFoundries, the former AMD manufacturer, recently said it will not produce 7-nanometer chips because they are very costly.

On the other hand, Samsung said that the first EUV line designed to produce 7-nanometer chips has cost the company $6 billion.

Samsung will not be alone in the 5-nanometer race because last TSMC introduced prototypes for consumers. Promised to increase transistors by 80% compared to 25% that Samsung says and performance 15% more compared to the 10% rival.

Samsung manufactures chips not only for self but also for Qualcomm while TSMC manufactures the Apple A11 and A12 chips.

Intel, Samsung and TSMC are the only manufacturers of EUV chips using advanced lithographic technologies developed by the Dutch ASML company.

“Dark Mode” is official in the Messenger application

Facebook Messenger was officially equipped today with a “Dark Mode” feature. Available since March in the form of a hidden function, “dark mode” was activated by sending a moon like to a friend.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

You no longer need to do this because it is accessed with a simple button and is available for 1.3 billion Messenger users.

Just click on the profile picture in Messenger and at the top of the configuration options you will notice the new option called “Dark Mode.”

In addition to being lighter for late-night hours, the darker theme should increase battery life on OLED screens such as iPhone X, XS, XS Max or Galaxy series and LG V8 and V40.

This is because when the option is activated, individual pixels do not show black color but actually turn off saving energy.

Google has also started testing a darker OS theme for Android Q as well as Apple iOS 13.
