Few days ago the rumors about an Assassin’s Creed at the time of the Vikings were confirmed by a Photoshop project of one of AC Valhalla’s original posters. Yesterday we had the first look at the cinematography of the game and we are convinced that Ubisoft is improving this name by attracting millions of fans to each edition.

The historical context of the game is about the long conflict between the Vikings and the English kingdoms, so we assume that the events take place between the eighth and tenth centuries. The protagonist is called Eivor, a powerful Viking leader who leads his army from the rugged shores of Norway to the fertile English lands to glory and take a place in Valhalla.

As for the world where it will take place, was the first concern of the fans, it has to do with the levels of the buildings of the time, which will probably limit the most beloved aspect of the game: parkour. But this was not a problem for AC Origins, which was developing in ancient Egypt, so they are expected to be perfected and perhaps added new styles.

In addition to the magical lands a very beautiful detail of the series is the sea, an important asset that has to do with the ability to sail, quite popular with AC Rouge and Black Flag and constantly sought after by fans.

Although the trailer does not show any signs of a battle between the ships, the Vikings are considered skilled sailors, so it would be a sin not to take action in this direction. Eivor, the Viking killer, with long blonde hair and typical braids, has a more doable body than the classic AC killers. Group attacks suggest that perhaps the solo war will be more reduced, but recognizing the strengths of Assassin’s Creed’s traditional dynamics we expect a healthy balance between the two.

In the middle of the battle to conquer the shores of England, a vision appears to Eivor; a mysterious and bent figure who turns into the cult eagle of assassins this makes our hero receive Odin’s blessing. And when being disarmed by the opponent, we think it is the end of our hero, the key knife is stuck in the opponent’s neck, shaking the flesh of us all.

At the end of the premiere video, we are greeted by the Xbox logo, which raised suspicions that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will probably be the exclusive property of this console. But after a quick navigation on Ubisoft’s official website, the spirits are calming down as Valhalla will be available for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Stadia and PC.

After months of speculation and information leaks, Intel has unveiled the 10th generation of S-series processors with the Core i9 10900K as the flagship model. For $488 you can buy a 10-core processor with a frequency of up to 5.3Ghz Turbo and 4.9Ghz base.

But there are even cheaper ones. The second model in the new processor hierarchy is the Core i7-10700 with the power and performance you find in the Core i9 models including hyperthreading which has been extended till the Core i3 models.

Introducing the new processors from Intel is a clear signal to rival AMD and the excellent Ryzen 3000 models especially the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X.

In search of more performance and efficiency, AMD’s chips have been built into the 7-nanometer architecture while Intel’s have remained on the 14-nanometer. However, Intel has an advantage in speed thanks to the Turbo Boost Max technology that has reached version 3.0.

In performance, Intel claims that the i9-10900K is 10% faster than the 9900K in PUBG and 63% faster than the three-year model i7-7700K. The new processor is also 18% faster in 4K video editing than the predecessor and 35% faster than the i7-7700K.

Global Adjustment Rate Rises Despite Drop in Energy Consumption

Despite a significant drop in Ontario’s energy consumption, the Global Adjustment (GA) rate, which is adjusted to support the Province’s generating capacity and to cover the cost of conservation programs, is still on the rise.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to shut down businesses across Canada, many building owners had expected a more modest savings in operating costs. The GA is central to that forecast; however, an hourly Ontario energy price (HOEP) of $0.00 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), doesn’t translate into savings for commercial electricity customers afterall.

“The negative HOEP is interesting, but not especially relevant for commercial and institutional consumers,” says Michael Lithgow, manager at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Although hydro customers will get a 45 day reprieve on their hydro bills during the health crisis, the Global Adjustment (GA) rate is still in place.

“It’s inversely correlated to the GA and, for every kWh, you’ve still got to pay the usual regulated (transmission and distribution) charges,” Lithgow goes on to explain.

As Canadians continue to shelter in place to stop the coronavirus, there has been a shift in energy use by residents and businesses, but for Class A customers the formula for apportioning the GA (which are fixed until June 30) doesn’t bode well with a sudden sharp decline in province-wide demand.

Meanwhile, Class B customers, generally comprising small and mid-sized commercial buildings, may now be in a preferred position compared to some Class A consumers. These customers (Class B) may end up with significantly reduced consumption and could end up paying less than they would have had they opted for Class A categorization.

Class A customers with relatively stable energy consumption should continue to benefit from their status, but those Class A customers who have been forced to shut down their operations could pay the most.

In 2009, Global Adjustment charges spiked with the passing of the Green Energy Act and some Ontarians argue whether GA charges are necessary at all. The Ontario Industrial Conservation Initiative was enacted to provide a financial incentive to business owners and operators to reduce electricity consumption during the five peak hours of the year. Nonetheless, this incentive only benefits customers who are able to adjust consumption without impacting operation.

With the topic up for debate, it’s a fact that GA charges can account for the majority of a businesses’ electricity bill.

Legends of Runeterra has officially been released on PC and mobile

The beta days are over

Riot’s card strategy game, Legends of Runeterra, has been officially launched after three months in open beta. From April 28 to April 30, the game is being launched worldwide, both on PC and Mobile, with regions releasing the game at various points over two days.

The full release comes with a series of new cards called Rising Tides, and a number of new champions and cards from League of Legends have been introduced. The update also adds 11 champions, six keywords, a new cosmetic board, two makeup guards, over 120 new cards and a series of new emo-es.

The regions have also been updated, with the pirate-themed Bilgewater region officially becoming the only region and roads to existing regions have been further expanded.

Log bonuses have been added, stimulating players to sign in every day and complete daily missions for free cards. Players will be rewarded for the first seven days they enter, with rewards ranging from cards to Expedition tokens. The final prize is a new deck with two Ashe champion cards.

Beta players do not need to worry, as the update does not remove any progress made so far. All purchases and progress made before full release is transferred.

Both editions like mobile and PC can be linked to a single account, with cross-play available from the start. Here are the specs required on Windows, Android and iPhone devices:

Any Android device with OS 5.0, 2GB RAM and an equivalent or better Adreno 30 GPU will be able to download the game.
The iPhone with at least iOS9 and an Arm64 processor should be able to have this game as well, although Riot does not recommend 1 GB RAM devices such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPad Air 1.
Computer devices require Windows 7, 8.1 or 10, a 3GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 512MB+ VRAM GPU.
Mac OS is currently not supported.

Toyota has unveiled a new small SUV that rivals the Nissan Juke, Renault Capture, Peugeot 2008 and Skoda Kamic. The SUV will be manufactured at Toyota’s plant in Valencia, France, and in high quality, about 150,000 copies a year, according to Toyota’s plans.

Unveiled in a live presentation video, the Yaris Cross comes with a design inspired by Toyota’s new SUVs, mostly the RAV4. With a similar design to the Yaris hatchback even the engines that will be offered with the Yaris Crossin will be the same.

Toyota has produced an airbag that is positioned between the first two seats, ensuring that the driver and first passenger do not collide with each other in the event of an accident. Active Cruise control with Stop & Go, Lane Assistant, emergency maneuver assistant, Led headlights, etc. are elements that further enrich the technological package.

The Toyota Yaris Cross will also offer 4×4 (optional) traction which many of its rivals do not offer. Motorizations will be for all tastes, with diesel, petrol and hybrids. Its hybrid system uses a 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine which, in addition to producing horsepower, also charges batteries for the electric motor. In the Yaris, the electric motor has new lithium batteries, which are lighter than those of the previous model from nickel.

So far Yaris Cross has all the papers in order, but we will have to wait a bit as the delivery to the concessionaires is scheduled for the middle of next year.
