This is Samsung’s Foldable phone, unveiled at SDC

At the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) in San Francisco, the company revealed the first appearance of foldable smartphone, which would be the first such smartphone company, whose technology is ready for production. This was widely predicted since September.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The exact shape of the phone was hidden in a box, but Samsung has demonstrated that folding technology was functional and ready for commercial debut on real phones.

Justin Denison, VP of Mobile Product Marketing, who unveiled the device said of the real design: “It’s amazing.”

Samsung‘s foldable phone has two screens (not three as previously thought): one that works when the phone is closed and the folding screen goes out to turn the device on a 7.3 “tablet as we expected.

Folding screen is called Infinity Flex Display. Technically, the device appears to be a conclusive proof of the concept although it is unclear when it will debut, though Justin Denison cited the “other event (Samsung Unpacked)” that might happen around the MWC conference in late February. This is in line with the launch reports in the second quarter of 2019, possibly at a price of $1,800.

On stage, Google has approved the idea of folding screens and has introduced Android APIs for these, so it’s just a matter of time before launching the first device.

It is unclear when Samsung’s competitors will follow suit, but this will be the beginning of a new era for industrial design and mobile productivity. You can see the entire event stream in the link above:

LG is working on the phone with a 100% screen, no frames

LG has introduced a number of patents for upcoming phones with approximately 100 percent screens without any frame.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Presented to the Korean Intellectual Property Office, patents show two different designs.

The first is an iPhone 5-like phone with rounded corners and a completely frameless screen.

The second has a similar screen, also without frames, but is slightly curved on the right side, to provide an edge.

In both cases, a flexible OLED screen is used, apparently because it is one of LG’s top points.

Design patents were found by LetsGoDigital and published on Nov. 2 this year so they could be delivered a year ago. Placing the front camera is the only visible difference shown in each of the designs.

Of course, patents do not always show the complete product of the customer, but at least these show that LG is examining the development of the sleek design of phones – with a 100 percent display. However, it is not yet known when this will happen.

However, we will see their first folding phone during CES 2019 in January, according to reports so far.

These certified models are available for purchase for the first time in the company’s online shop. Both models can be purchased with 64GB storage configuration in multiple color options.

Consumers can save some money in the process if they decide to get a certified refurbished unit. This is one of the main reasons why people decide to buy refurbished units first.

They are about 15 percent lower than the full retail price. Renovated units begin with $499 for iPhone 8 and $599 for iPhone 8 Plus.

Apple’s refurbished units receive their certification after being passed through a strict process. The company also provides original add-on products with models, in addition to a one-year warranty.

Those who are interested in getting a device can go to Apple’s online store and get a renovated iPhone or iPhone 8 Plus model.

The sliding screen smartphone, Honor Magic 2, is here and it’s all that the Samsung Galaxy S10 wants to be and more – it comes with six cameras to be precise.

The phone is officially unveiled, only for the Chinese market at this stage, and brings a package of some amazing specifications. First is the screen that is really frameless as cameras are hidden behind and slipping over when needed.

The screen comes with AMOLED 6.39 inches and comes packed with a fingerprint reader.

But the beauty of this device comes from hidden cameras.

On the back is a triple camera, similar to the one found on the Huawei P20 Pro. In this case you get a 16MP wide angle lens, an ultra-wide 16MP angle lens, and a 24MP monochrome sensor.

The front camera offers two lenses, 16MP and 24MP, which means the hazy background and 3D lighting effects.

The power of the handset comes from a 7nm Kirin 980 CPU processor and connects up to 8GB of RAM. This is supported by a 3,400mAh battery that can be charged quickly by a 40W power supply or using the wireless charger.

Price for these premium specifications of Honor Magic 2? While this is an exclusive price for China’s market, it starts at around 425 pounds.

FlexPai first foldable smartphone debuts, brings a 7.8-inch AMOLED screen

Since the beginning of the year, there have been discussions about flexible smartphones. While Samsung and LG are mostly discussed about this issue, other companies have cast their bets on the network. It seems that an unknown company may be the first in the market with this type of product, as Royole has released details for their FlexPai.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Although Royole may not have the same kind of reputation as Samsung or LG, the firm is not a small activity. Royole was created in 2012 by a group of Stanford Engineering graduates and “creates and manufactures next generation technologies and products, including advanced flexible displays, flexible sensors, and smart devices.”

FlexPai will be powered by the Snapdragon 8150 Qualcomm processor, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and will have 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage option with the ability to expand via microSD.

The device will use an 7.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels. As it is a phone, it will also have cameras with 16MP and 20MP sensors.

Regardless of whether you want to try the future of the smartphones, the prepaid charges for the device begin today in China, at $ 1,290 for the 6GB version with 128GB internal space, $ 1,435 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB and recently $ 1,865 for high version with 8GB RAM and 512GB of storage.

Hands-on: The new Razer Blade is a sleek gaming laptop with tiny bezels

Hands-on: The new Razer Blade is a sleek gaming laptop with tiny bezels

Razer changed our perception of what a gaming laptop could be when it first introduced the Blade. In 2013, it was arguably the first gaming laptop that didn’t look overly gaudy or aggressive, but while its successors have all had their share of improvements, the design was becoming stale. Most notably, Razer was still sporting huge bezels in an age where maximizing screen real estate is a priority.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

If you are looking to get a best laptop for trading to deal with shares and numbers then THE NEW RAZER BLADE is perfect solution for you.

Enter the new Razer Blade. It’s the biggest update to the line ever.

The tiny bezels help increase the screen size from 14 inches to 15.6 – despite overall volume actually being slightly lower. The new body has sharper lines – it’s a clean design reminiscent of last year’s Razer Phone. The touchpad loses the separate buttons, but is replaced by a nicer, larger surface. The body feels sturdy and well built. Despite the thin bezels, the webcam is still in the correct position above the screen.

In my book, it’s the best-looking gaming laptop around (the Surface Book 2doesn’t really count) I just wish it came in the gunmetal color Razer used on the Blade Stealth last year.

But of course, this is a gaming laptop, so here are some specs:

  • 8th-Gen Core i7-8750H processor (6-core)
  • 15.6-inch IPS 1080p matte display in 60 and 144hz options
  • Or a 4K glossy display with multi-touch
  • Individually color calibrated displays
  • Nvidia 1060/1070 Max-Q
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM (expandable to 32GB)
  • 256/512 GB SSD (explandable to 2TB)
  • Bluetooth 5
  • Three USB 3.1 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port
  • MiniDisplay 1.4
  • Anti-ghosting keyboard
  • HDMI 2.0b audio and video
  • 80Wh batter
  • 4.56 lb (1080p)/ 4.73 lb (4K)

It achieves some of this sleek new design thanks to incorporating Nvidia’s Max-Q technology. If you’re not familiar, Max-Q cuts down on performance slightly in order to optimize thermals for thin gaming laptops.

That leaves performance a bit of a question mark if you opt for the default GTX 1060 Max-Q configuration; it’s a little weaker than the standard 1060 in last year’s model, but the faster CPU and improved cooling shouldmake up for that to some degree.

But fret not, as this year there is also a 1070 Max-Q option, which should handily outperform last year’s model, given benchmarks on similarly-spec’d laptops. Meanwhile, Razer has incorporated a new vapor chamber cooler to keep thermals under control. Unfortunately, Razer didn’t have numbers to share during my demo, so we’ll need to spend more time with the laptop before we can say how it really performs.

The new vapor-chamber cooling system.
The new vapor-chamber cooling system.

Bezels aside, the display tech is also improved. Each display is individually color calibrated, and you can now choose from 1080p 144hz and 4K 60Hz panels in addition to the baseline 1080p 60hz display. Depending on the model, the display covers either 100 percent of sRGB or Adobe RGB, which should particularly please people doing color-critical work.

In case you missed it in the specs above, it’s also worth noting that though the configurations max out at 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, both are user upgradeable. The laptop currently supports up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage, and both are easy to access by removing a few screws.. Coupled with an external GPU, that gives you a surprisingly solid amount of flexibility for upgrading the Blade in the years to come.

Speaking of, Razer also announced the Razer Core X, an external GPU chassis retailing for $300. That’s $200 less than the Razer Core V2. It doesn’t include the V2’s extra set ports, but if all you care about is adding a GPU (which you still have to buy separately, of course), it’s a decent price.

As usual, Razer is keeping its  laptop configurations relatively simple. Every model has the same Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM. The new blade is already up for sale, starting at $1899. At that price, you’ll get the GTX 1060 and the 60hz 1080p. Razer’s middle configuration (1070, 256 GB storage, 144hz screen) will cost you $2,400, while the top model with the 4K panel and 512GB of storage goes for $2,999.

It’s not cheap, but if it’s as good as the previous Blade, it might just be worth the money. If you are looking to get a best laptop for trading to deal with shares and numbers then THE NEW RAZER BLADE is perfect solution for you.

Apple brings the promotional videos of Macbook Air, iPad Pro and Mac mini after launch

Yesterday, Apple developed their launch event in New York, debuting a new MacBook Air, iPad Pro and Mac mini. Along with the presentation, the company also distributed new promotional videos for each of its products, which can now be found on the company’s YouTube site.

For most of their new products, Apple has two videos, one being a promotional video, the other one introducing the product, giving details of design, construction, and specifications. The latest MacBook Air gets an up-to-date Retina display and Intel 8th generation processor.

The Mac mini makes its debut by offering a similar design to previous models, but updates the inside with Intel’s 8th generation processors, more RAM, and SSD space. Since it has more power, Apple has used a new ventilation system that will keep things fresh.

Those who need ports will have many of them, with a PC offering four USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports and two USB 3 ports.

Last but not least, the iPad Pro of Apple comes with a new design that removes the physical button home and gives more screen saver users.

Samsung Confirms: Foldable and 5G phones to be launched next year

Samsung has released Wednesday findings for the third quarter of 2018, revealing it has reached a new high level for the company. But phone sales did not help in achieving a new record, though Samsung said in their press release that the side phones had steady sales during this period – it’s about the Galaxy Note 9 and S9.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

But the most important detail of the announcement relates to forecasts for the next quarter and 2019, where Samsung confirmed that foldable phones and 5G phones are emerging for the near future.

Samsung posted $57.45 billion in consolidated quarterly revenue, a 5.5% increase from last year, and $15.42 billion in operating profit, up 20.9%.

But the Korean company has been cautious in the opinion for the fourth quarter of the year and the beginning of 2019 in their press release.

Storage devices and OLED devices for mobile devices released the third quarter of Samsung to new levels, but storage space gains may fall in the next quarter. However, OLED’s orders will remain strong in the fourth quarter, says Samsung, “thanks to the continued high demand from key customers.

In other words, Apple is buying lots of OLED screens for the iPhone XS series.

Phone sales will increase in the coming quarter, but revenue is expected to decline due to “increased marketing costs”

Samsung called Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9 as factors that would help boost shipments in the fourth quarter. These are the phones that Samsung announced in previous weeks, coming with triple cameras.
