What was Samsung thinking when it introduced two weird Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite phones?

Samsung’s “S” and “Note” mean elite.

At the beginning of this first week of 2020, Samsung introduced two new Galaxy phones: the S10 Lite and the Note 10 Lite.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Samsung’s “S” and “Note” mean elite. These two phones are not like that. But Samsung has a reason to hide behind these phones, even though many of the Korean giant’s decisions are confusing.

Why do phones have different camera sets? On the one hand the S10 Lite has Super Optical Image Stabilization technology, something of a surprise for a mid-range phone and on the other hand the Note 10 Lite has a 3.5mm headphone jack and the S10 Lite does not.

Why should S10 Lite exist when it’s Galaxy A line? This is where the real problem begins because it’s difficult to distinguish the Galaxy S10 Lite from the Galaxy A71.

Only after a month the company will bring its flagship phones, specifically the S11 or S20 series or call it whatever you want. The introduction of these phones makes no sense because Samsung has to give its flagship the stage next month.

The S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite share many similarities: both have a 6.7-inch 2400×1800 AMOLED display but not the height of the Galaxy S and Note screens. However the frames are minimal and even on the screen is a cut for the selfie camera.

Even in build quality there is nothing wrong with these devices. In terms of material they are probably even higher than their rivals of the same price.

But there are differences between them. The Note 10 Lite has an S-Pen stylus pen while the S10 Lite does not. Note 10 Lite has 3.5mm headphone port while S10 Lite does not.

The big confusion starts with the camera. Although both have three rear cameras, their setup is completely different. The S10 Lite has two sensors on the back quite interestingly. The main camera is a 48-megapixel wide-angle f/2 aperture and Super Optical Stabilization offered on the Galaxy Note 10. The second sensor is just as interesting as the first is the 5-megapixel macro photo lens that enables close-up shooting.

The Note 10 Lite has a more traditional approach with super wide, wide aperture camera and telephoto.

The change is also noticeable in processors: the Note 10 Lite has the Samsung Exynos 9810 processor and the S10 Lite the Snapdragon 855 processor. Why has Samsung done all of the above by dumping a premium brand into a mid-range segment? With the Note 10 there is an explanation because the phone has a Stylus pencil but the S10 Lite? Probably because it has the Snapdragon 855 processor.

Despite the big name they hold, these phones stand nowhere else but among the mind-range line of Samsung phones.

Everything we know about Apple iPhone 12

Apple iPhone 12 has become the subject of constant leaks of confidential information. In this article we have summarized everything we know to date. There’s a lot to like and a lot to be disappointed too. But overall Apple is moving towards an exciting product and perhaps one of the most important in years.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

> Check Out: Everything we know about Samsung Galaxy S11

Camera – The main news of the iPhone 12 is the integration of a wide-angle 3D camera. Confirmed by several sources, this camera with the iPhone 12 can create a map of the surrounding environment at a distance of 3 meters. There will be laser technology unlike the current systems used in Face ID of iPhone. A 3D camera would help with portrait mode but the biggest victory is in augmented reality.

Design – Perhaps the one area where the iPhone 12 can disappoint is the look. Radical concepts have already been introduced to the public but the design is said to be identical to the iPhone X, XS and 11 Pro. There is still time for change but Apple is expected to make big changes this year as well.

Display – While it may look the same as the last three generations, the iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max will have screens as follows:

  • iPhone 12: 6.1-inch
  • iPhone 12 Pro: 5.4-inch
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max 5G: 6.7-inch Screen

Innovation for this year will be ProMotion 120Hz display while there is speculation that rivals are doing the same as Samsung, Huawei, LG, OnePlus.

Biometrics – Face ID won’t change much with the iPhone 12 except for the slight increase in performance. But intriguing is the return of Touch ID which will be integrated under the screen. Its true value will be in combining face recognition technology with extreme security.

Performance – Very little is known about the phone in this regard except that the new chip will be faster and more efficient as with previous generations.

Connectivity – There is a lot of speculation in this regard. According to the most reliable reports, the Lightining port will be replaced by USB-C. Safer is the debut of the 5G across the line of the iPhone 12. This technology will be available in the high-speed mmWave bandwidth and sub-6Ghz high-penetration.

Price – Phone cost figures remain a mystery but according to analyst Ming Chi-Kuo there will be no significant price increase due to 5G. The debut is also expected to remain unchanged with the new iPhone expected in September 2020.

Top Best 2019 smartphones:

Best smartphone of the year: OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus 7 Pro
OnePlus 7 Pro

Not only was it the best smartphone of the first half of 2019, but probably the best for the whole year. OnePlus 7T Pro is a minimal update to the OnePlus 7 Pro and stores every detail that makes this phone great by improving camera, performance and fingerprint scanner.

The 6.67-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED screen display has a frequency of 90Hz. The phone is fast thanks to the Snapdragon 85+ processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory not just UFS 3.0. The fingerprint scanner is even better this year. OxygenOS 10 operating system is almost a pure Android. The 48 + 16 + 8-megapixel rear camera system is outstanding, though not better than the iPhone 11 Pro and Pixel 4XL in quality and detail.

The best iOS smartphone: iPhone 11 Pro

iPhone 11 Pro
iPhone 11 Pro

iPhone 11 Pro is not the biggest smartphone Apple sells, nor is it the most expensive, but it is very close to the OnePlus 7 Pro as the best smartphone of the year. It combines a 5.8-inch display, with a luxurious body, high performance and considerable battery life.

The design hasn’t changed since the iPhone X. Apple A13 Bionic processor is the most powerful you can find on a smartphone, while iOS promises 5 years of continuous updates. This year Apple dumped a lot of energy into the camera system and is undoubtedly the second-best smartphone in the world. But with 64GB of memory options or the lack of a USB-C port they lose their phone points over their rivals.

Best Android Compact Smartphone: Galaxy S10

Galaxy S10
Galaxy S10

If you are looking for a medium, small or large phone, the Galaxy S10 stands as a solid choice. The 6.1-inch AMOLED display has a punch-hole in the upper right corner where the selfie camera is hidden. The screen has no frame at all.

Samsung has further upgraded the One UI Android version to version 2.0 and continued where it left off last year. With the triple camera system you can zoom from 0.5x to 10x. Performance is good but battery life not so much. The ultrasonic sensor (OnePlus 7 Pro has optical sensor) has proven to be problematic not only with shielded glass but also with security.

Smartphone with the best camera: Huawei P30 Pro

Huawei P30 Pro
Huawei P30 Pro

The best camera that a smartphone has is definitely the Huawei P30 Pro. Even at the end of 2019, no rival offers anything better than Huawei’s quadruple combination of Leica cameras.

First, the super wide-angle 20-megapixel camera recognizes no rival while the 40-megapixel captures infinite detail and the periscop zooms up to 5x optically. It has a hybrid zoom that combines high-quality optical and digital up to 10X. Finally a 3D ToF sensor manages to identify the depth of the image. Leaving the camera aside, the screen is 6.47-inch FHD+ OLED. On the inside the phone is powered by a Kirin 980 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Best budget phone: OnePlus 7T

OnePlus 7T
OnePlus 7T

OnePlus 7T is a smartphone worth every penny spent on it. The 6.55-inch OLED display has a refresh rate of 90Hz just like the big brother OnePlus 7 Pro.

OnePlus phones are considered kings of performance and with the OnePlus 7T you get a Snapdragon 855+ flagship processor, 8GB of RAM and at least 128GB of UFS 3.0 memory highlighting the latter. The pure OxygenOS Android based system is fast and stable.

OnePlus guarantees two years of software updates. The triple camera system is a big step forward compared to the OnePlus 7.

Noteworthy: Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Google Pixel 4XL, iPhone 11

Galaxy Note 10
Galaxy Note 10

Galaxy Note 10 is the dream of the super-lover of Samsung phones. It has the largest screen on a 6.8-inch diagonal Samsung phone, new UFS 3.0 memory, reasonable battery life, and many more. The stylus pencil can be used as a wand for various gestures. At the rear is the Galaxy S10’s triple camera system and the phone is even available in a 5G variant. Fingerprint scanner slightly slow and problematic with glazing.

> Check Out: Why are our smartphones so good, but the batteries are so bad?

Google Pixel 4XL
Google Pixel 4XL

Google Pixel 4XL is a phone that has received mixed reviews, both good and bad. On the one hand you have a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz frequency, excellent camera, radar gesture system, artificial intelligence and super fast Face Unlock 3D locking technology. But on the other hand it lacks a fingerprint scanner which means that until the apps are adapted to the new technology you have to set the PIN while battery life is beyond expectations.

iPhone 11
iPhone 11

iPhone 11 has everything the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max promise except for a wide-angle camera and screen that is not OLED for LCD. It is for these reasons that the phone is significantly cheaper than the first two. The body is made of aluminum and glass unlike the steel used in the two expensive iPhones, losing the luxury feel. However it cannot be considered cheap because there are other companies whose flagships cost as much as Apple’s cheapest phone. iPhone 11 saves you some money, but if you’re looking for the best iPhone experience, you should definitely look for a Pro model.

OPPO Reno3, Reno3 Pro officially launched: Featuring 5G and Quad Rear Cameras

Oppo revealed Reno 2 just two months ago but that hasn’t stopped the company from launching its third phone series before the 2019 closing. The company has unveiled Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro, both of which come with 5G but have dual-mode chips, four antennas and software that together should ensure the battery life of an LTE phone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The algorithms will make sure you don’t use simple 5G to check an email even though there may be such coverage. This is what makes dual-mode chip technology possible.

You can also expect state-of-the-art display technology with 800-bit brightness, HDR10 and 180Hz refresh rate. The phones come with two Dolby Atmos speakers. The 4,025 mAh battery is charged at 50% for 20 minutes and 70% for half an hour.

Beyond these details, the others are not so suprising. For example, Reno 3 has MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000 processor, 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 32-megapixel selfie camera, 64-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel wide-angle.

Reno 3 Pro has a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz frequency display with a Snapdragon 765G processor and 32-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera is 48-megapixels followed by the other two, 13 and 2-megapixel telephoto and wide angle respectively.

Finally Oppo says it is the world’s thinnest 5G phone with only 7.7mm thickness. The price is about $485 for the 8 GB Reno3 Pro and goes up to about $640 for the 12 GB Reno3 Pro.

OnePlus 7T

OnePlus 7T: If you are looking for excellence but without spending too much this is the phone to buy

OnePlus is undoubtedly the king of the highest-value smartphones for their cost, and the company is already back with another hit: the OnePlus 7T.

This phone takes many of the features that users have loved so much in the OnePlus 7 Pro and puts it at an affordable device even more powerful than the phone itself. But deepening what the OnePlus 7T is all about is crucial to clearing the confusing line of OnePlus products.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Technically the OnePlus 7T is the successor to the OnePlus 7 and not the OnePlus 7 Pro.

OnePlus 7T Design and Display

OnePlus 7T shares multiple design notes with the previous generation of OnePlus but with some major changes. The shape is tall. It resembles an extended version of OnePlus with the 6.55-inch screen compared to the 6.41-inch OnePlus 7.

The screen has a smaller “notch” than the OnePlus 7. The biggest difference with the previous generation is the camera’s circular panel on the back of the phone. The screen is gorgeous but not without flaws. It’s only 1080p, which means it has lower resolution than the OnePlus 7 Pro. We would have liked to see the 1440p screen.

However, like the OnePlus 7 Pro, the OnePlus 7T has a 90Hz frequency display providing a smoother graphics experience. Animations and movements are smoother than on 60Hz screens. The screen also has an extremely high brightness of up to 1,000 nits. And foremost is the AMOLED display with solid, clear colors and deep levels of black.

Specs:

  • 6.55-inch 1080p AMOLED (90Hz) Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor
  • 8GB of RAM 128 and 256GB of memory
  • Three 48 + 12 + 16-megapixel rear cameras
  • 16-megapixel front camera
  • Battery 3,800 mAh

OnePlus 7T Performance

Perhaps more important than the look of the phone is performance. OnePlus 7T has the upgraded version of the Snapdragon 855 flagship processor used on other Android phones such as Galaxy S10, Snapdragon 855+.

This processor is accompanied by 8GB of RAM. Thanks to the 90Hz display you’ll get an even more brilliant experience. Games like the Asphalt 9, which are known for their high graphics intensity, make this phone shine and work without a hitch.

Like other OnePlus phones, the OnePlus 7T also has a gaming mode that blocks notifications and keeps the screen bright and fast.

Battery life can go all day but no more because of the hollow processor and 90Hz display. But thanks to 30W fast charging, the phone is charged at 70% for 30 minutes. However, the OnePlus 7 has no wireless charging.

Software and Camera

OnePlus 7T is the first OnePlus phone to debut with Android 10. Overall Oxygen OS, the customized version of Android for OnePlus phones, has all the latest Android features.

It’s clean and easy to use and the interface is clean of foreign applications. With the OnePlus 7T the camera quality has reached another level. It’s not the level of the Google Pixel 3 or iPhone 11 Pro, but thanks to its three-lens setup, it easily captures crisp, natural photos. It can even capture quality photos in low light conditions thanks to the “Night Scape” mode.

But if you want the best camera experience, go for the Google Pixel 4 or iPhone 11 Pro.

Finally

OnePlus 7T is a great phone. Performs at a high level, has a higher quality camera and technology for fast battery charging. The 90Hz display further enhances the experience, especially for gamers.

But it will lack some high-end features like wireless charging and high-resolution display. But is OnePlus the best option? In fact, the OnePlus 7 Pro is better in many ways because it has a higher resolution screen, better camera and no frame display. If you can afford the cost of the OnePlus 7 Pro you’d better pay $70 more.

OnePlus 7T Pros:

  • Slim Design
  • 90Hz Screen
  • High Performance
  • Budged phone
  • Quality camera

OnePlus 7T Cons:

  • No wireless charging
  • Battery life below expectations
  • 1080p Screen

Last week, OnePlus sent media invitations to a special event to be held in Las Vegas, during the CES 2020, as the event begins on January 7. Samsung Galaxy A71

Based on Samsung Galaxy A71 and A51, we might also know how Galaxy S11 will look like

Samsung has unveiled two new smartphone models, Galaxy A71 and A51, which have great similarities and are quite attractive.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

However, everyone’s interest is in the new Galaxy S11, and based on these models, you might know what this new phone will look like.

Apparently, both smartphones are very similar, with the AMOLED display, small front camera space, and very thin frames. The rear has a fairly elevated space, with four cameras and a flash.

Galaxy S11 is likely to have the same look launching early next year, but with five cameras in the back and more rounded shapes. While on the Galaxy A71 and A51, it’s a special-layer backdrop, the same isn’t expected on the Galaxy S11 when it goes on sale.

The most powerful of these two smartphones is the Galaxy A71, with a 6.7-inch screen that offers 2,400 × 1,080 pixels resolution, the processor remains unspecified, while it is known to have 6/8GB of RAM, 128GB Storage, and a 4,500mAh battery.

Galaxy A51 is smaller at 6.5 inches and the same resolution, while the processor specifications are not known, it is said to have 4/6/8GB RAM, 64/128GB of Storage, and 4,000 mAh battery.

Galaxy S11+

Galaxy S11 will be a photographic superpower and the latest information proves it

Samsung Galaxy S11 is preparing to become a photographic superpower. The camera system is shooting through news headlines with the 108-megapixel sensor, 5X optical zoom and 8K video recording.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″ tdc_css=””]

Finally to concretize everything we have learned to date, some photos have been published of the back of the phone showing the camera setup.

From the image only half of the camera system is displayed which are well organized. The vertically oriented cameras are on the left and are a main camera, one with super wide angle and a periscope lens.

While on the right side although the image does not show, reports suggest a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera and a flash light. Previous designs have shown five rear cameras in the format of an X.

But the latest information Galaxy S11 will have no more than four cameras. The main camera will of course be 108-megapixels developed in collaboration with Xiaomi and applied to the Xiaomi Note 10.

Xiaomi will bring the new 5G smartphone that will be the cheapest ever made and it will be called the Redmi K30 5G – thus it will be the cheapest 5G smartphone on the market so far.

Xiaomi has unveiled this smartphone and could be a landmark for 2020 smartphones. The Redmi K30 comes with a 120 Hz display, a total of six cameras, a brand new processor and a larger battery.

Redmi K30 is being sold in a 5G version and another 4G version. The 5G comes with the recently released processor in the middle of the Snapdragon 765G, which was designed specifically for gaming applications.
