Nokia 7.3 5G Render

Nokia 7.3 5G first renders leaked online

Seems pretty much like its predecessor, the Nokia 7.2

HMD Global should have launched Nokia 7.3 5G this week, but apparently, fans will still have to wait. In one last leak, however, we have the first images of what that camera will look like. Steve Hemmerstoffer has published the complete design of the smartphone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

From the renders, it looks like it pretty much resembles its predecessor, the Nokia 7.2.

This generation will have a circular camera bundle with the ZEISS logo in the center. To the left of the module is the flash and below it the fingerprint sensor. While camera details have not yet been released, early reports speak for the 48MP main and some other 12MP wide-angle lenses. The front has a hole on the top left for the selfie camera which is expected to be 24MP.

Nokia 7.3 will have USB-C and a headphone jack. The back of the smartphone is expected to be plastic and not glass, this to keep costs low. The 6.5-inch screen is Full-HD+, Snapdragon 690 processor, and 4000mAh battery.

Epic will give $10 credit to anyone who downloads Rocket League for free

The promotion will run from today until October 23 while the coupon is valid until November 1st

Starting today Rocket League is free to play, and as part of the promotion, Epic Games has decided to donate $10 credits to be spent on the Epic Games Store if you go to download the game from them.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The move apparently comes as an attempt to get PC gamers from Steam on their platform. Rocket League is no longer on Steam but whoever bought it from there can continue to play it, and that version will continue to receive support and updates.

This is not the first time Epic has undertaken such campaigns, every week it delivers various free games. The most famous is GTA V, which was downloaded so much that it crashed Epic servers.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition

Samsung brings what we asked. This is the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition

The S20 Fan Edition is a bridge between the mid-range and the flagship segment

OnePlus has established itself as one of the leading players in the budget smartphone market. Samsung had made the phones quite expensive and lowering their price was not a proper option. So they decided another strategy and this is probably the clearest indication that Samsung is still in competition with the OnePlus.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Long rumored, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is officially announced, and as the name implies, it comes especially for the love of the most ardent fans. Said without romanticism, the FE is a pack of the best options from the Galaxy S20, and through some compromises, comes at a more affordable price for anyone.

On the other hand, the Apple iPhone 11 has sold like crazy and is the smartphone of the year.

The budget foldable phone Royole FlexPai 2 5G costs $1,470

CEO Bill Liu announced that the FlexPai 2 is on sale through the Royole website

At the end of March, we were introduced to an early look at the second generation of foldable-screen phone, the Royole FlexPai 2 5G. This phone comes with a flexible OLED panel and a format similar to Huawei Mate X.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The new panel should have a better folding angle, better screen performance, and most importantly wrinkle reduction during folding. FlexPai 2 should have debuted in the first quarter of 2020 but today the wait is over.

In a virtually broadcast event, CEO Bill Liu announced that the FlexPai 2 is on sale through the Royole website. The base model has 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS3.0 storage priced at $1,470 while the 12GB/512GB variant costs $1,710. Both are already available for sale.

The fodable screen is a step forward for Royole. The panel of Flexpai 2 folds outwards thus becoming a dual-screen smartphone when the hinge is at 180 degrees. This technology is called Cicada Wing 3S by the company and it is “mirror-like smooth”, no creases whatsoever after over 1,8 million folds.

Compared to the competition Royole has set quite aggressive prices. The Huawei Mate X costs $2,510 while Samsung is asking $1,999 for the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The FlexPai 2 has a Snapdragon 865 processor, 7.8-inch unfolded panel 1920 × 1440 pixels with 4:3 ratio, four rear cameras and stereo speakers.

Folded the main screen is a 16:9 5.5-inches while the one after the secondary is 5.4-inches with a 16:10 ratio. The main sensor of the rear cameras is 64-megapixel. The phone comes with Android 10 with its dedicated WaterOS 2.0 interface and a 4,450 mAh battery with QC 4.0 fast-charging capabilities at 18 W.

The phone supports 5G connectivity with all the popular bands, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and has a USB-C 3.1 port. It will be sold through JD.com’s own website and will be available starting from September 25 in three color variants Silver, Black or Gold.

Windows 20H2 Update

The second update for 2020 of Windows 10 near its debut

The update brings some new feat including a major debut of the new Edge browser

While we do not have a debut date for the October update of Windows 10 codenamed 20H2, this version is closer than we thought. Through the Windows Insider blog, Microsoft said the Windows 10 20H2 update is in the Release Channel Preview. Although this channel is not the main branch of Windows 10, it is considered the last stop before the update becomes available to everyone.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

In fact, the update is so close that Microsoft officially calls it the “October 2020 Update.” If you want to try the update now, you can join Windows Insider. And since it’s on the Release Preview channel, you don’t have to worry about major system issues.

What does Windows 10 20H2 Update include?

Although not a major update, there are some new additions. The biggest change is the Edge browser which is going to be difficult to uninstall. This is because Microsoft is launching the Chromium version of the browser with the update in question. Edge will become an integral part of the operating system and almost impossible to uninstall.

Beyond this change, the Start menu will have a cleaner interface.

There have been complaints about the mandatory implementation for the new Edge. But from the tests carried out to date, the Chromium version wins over the old version without any hesitation and by a large margin.

Apple iOS14

Everything you need to know about iOS14

The next OS version for iPhone debuts with iPhone 6S models and above

Apple revealed new versions of the Apple Watch, iPad but not a new iPhone at least until next month. But even if you plan to change the iPhone you are using, iOS 14 will give you an update and without paying anything.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

The next OS version for iPhone has started rolling out with the iPhone 6S models and above. Most of the new features were unveiled at the WWDC developer conference in June including a new way to reorganize apps or lock into your car via iPhone.

iOS 14 will also have a new visual feature, the App Library, which organizes apps on the screen so you don’t have to scroll through several pages to find what you are looking for.

These are the biggest changes that iOS 14 brings.

Mini-applications

Named App Clips and with this option Apple makes it possible to access new apps without having to install. Thus it offers only a part of the application when needed such as booking a taxi or a meal. Normally users can choose to install the full app if they wish. The new functionality can be accessed by scanning the code of an App Clip or through QR.

Group conversations

As group chats have become popular on iMessage, Apple took inspiration to add new options that rival popular services actually have. Apple has brought new updates to group chats from climbing to the top of an important conversation to notifying if someone mentions you in a conversation.

Users can place for a group photo an image or emoji. Plus Apple avatars called Memoji, have more hairstyles, different ages, and face masks in this pandemic era.

Digital car keys

First Apple replaced the credit card, now the car key. A new option on the iPhone and Apple Watch can be used as a car key to access it or even turn it on. However it only works with the 2021 BMW 5 Series. The key can be shared even more by sending it as a message. The next generation of technology will make it possible for users to enter the car without taking the iPhone out of their pocket.

AirPods

AirPods have also been updated. Apple headphones will easily switch from one device to another. For example users after listening to a song on the iPhone can pick up the iPad and continue watching a non-stop video. When someone calls the audio automatically switches to the call.

Translation app

The new translation app can translate audio text into 11 different languages including English, Spanish, French, and Chinese. The application can translate in real-time when two people speak different languages.

Watching videos while doing something else

It’s called Picture-in-Picture mode and works by letting video of a FaceTime call stay open in the corner of your phone while using other apps like iMessage. Users can move the video box anywhere on the screen or hide it without interrupting the audio.

Incoming calls will not occupy the entire screen

Apple finally addresses one of the main problems and complaints of users. Incoming calls will no longer occupy the entire screen on iOS devices including iPhone and iPad. Rather they will appear as a banner at the top of the screen.

But who will get it? Here is the list of all iPhone models that will get iOS 14

When Apple unveiled iOS 13 last year it said that it would run from the iPhone 6S, iPhone SE 2016 to the latest models. This year the iPhone 6S should not have been on the list but here it has also included it along with the iPhone SE.

This is the official list of iPhone, iPad, and iPod that will get iOS 14:

  • iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone XS, XS Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8, 8 Plus
  • iPhone 7, 7 Plus
  • iPhone 6S, 6S Plus
  • iPhone SE 2016, 2020
  • iPod Touch 7
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inç
  • iPad Pro 11-inç
  • iPad Pro 10.5-inç
  • iPad Pro 9.7-inç
  • iPad 6
  • iPad 5
  • iPad Mini 5
  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPad Air 3
  • iPad Air 2

Android 11

Everything you need to know about Android 11

When will I get it? Does it cost?

Google has released the latest major update called Android 11 “R” and has begun shipping to Pixel models of the search engine itself. First introduced in February, Android 11 brings added privacy, new chat features, and device and internet controls.

[td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_2″]

Here’s everything you need to know about this Android update

When will I get it?

Currently only if you have a Google Pixel or OnePlus smartphone, Oppo, Realme, and Xiaomi you can install version 11 of Android, somewhere the final version and somewhere it is an experimental version but accessible to the masses. In the coming months, we expect Samsung to join this list.

Does it cost?

Updates are free from Google. If you are required to pay for the next version of Android then it is a scam.

Will the existing applications work?

Android 11 does not change the way the operating system works which means that the applications will continue to function as they have in recent years.

Improved conversations

For many users, phones are just about communicating with a host of applications. These apps will have their own dedicated space in the phone notifications section making it much easier to manage conversations without interfering with the rest of the notifications.

Bubbles

Facebook was the first to introduce this design model with Messenger in 2013 by placing conversations in the form of bubbles on the screen and standing on any type of application interface or operating system. By pressing on them, the bubbles revealed the full conversation to read.

Google has taken this feature and integrated it into the Android operating system so that every communication app works the same although some need to be updated.

The idea of this change is to continue to do what you are doing while having quick access to the conversation you are having with a relative or friend.

Improved media content controls

The music and video control buttons will be part of a dedicated section in the notifications panel standing above other notifications. Part of this update is the ability to change the music output as well, for example, you are using headphones you want to switch the speaker which you can do it with a button.

Quick access to smart devices

If you have lights and smart devices at home, this version of Android is for you. Holding down the power button will give you quick access to a panel where in addition to the start or power buttons, you will also have a collection of buttons to turn the smart devices on and off.

Buttons can be changed based on the devices you use most commonly.

Better privacy

Based on the privacy enhancements that Android 10 made, Android 11 will add more controls this time around to the permissions you give apps so that they serve the purpose for which they were built. For example, access to the microphone, camera, and location can now only be granted once by avoiding permanent permission even when you are not using the application that requires access to these resources.

Android will even reset the permissions you have given to an app that you have not used in a long time so that it does not access parts of the phone if you have left it in oblivion.

Faster updates

Google is doing its best to send as frequent security and privacy updates as it can, that will be available on Google Play similar to apps. So you do not have to wait for the smartphone manufacturer to send a full update if it is a critical security fix.

LG surprises with its new dual-screen 5G smartphone with a very interesting concept
